Overall is excellent. I like the cleanliness & quietness of the property.

The lodge is outstanding! The rooms are perfectly appointed for a mountain lodge! The grounds ate beautiful and serene! Its a perfect escape!

Gorgeous lodge. They thought if so many little details. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. I would defy stay here again!

My wife and I were completing a month long drive, camp, hike trip through many National Parks and chose Black Bear Lodge for a 3-night chillout before heading back into the real world. The lodge met / exceeded all our expectations. Tahoe was super busy but when in the beautifully kept gardens or in our cabin we were away from it all. The rustic cabin was cozy and very comfortable and the bird and wildlife provided great enjoyment. This was one of the highlights of our trip and we will return.

Our cabin was very clean, it had everything we needed. The property is well maintained and close to everything. The costumer service was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back!!

A little bit of paradise, tucked away. When I first drove up, I didn’t expect the serenity that was the hotel. It is done with such taste and class that we didn’t want to leave it to go to the lake. From the flowers, to the decor, to the personal attention. If this place is available, don’t think twice, it worth all is the money and more. We will definitely be returning again and again.

We were looking for a coronavirus-safe property: uncrowded grounds, with exterior room entry, minimal staff entry into the room, and no valet parking. The 2BR “den” cabin fit the bill. Check-in used a sanitized/plastic wrapped pen and guest key packet. Their virus policy is that housekeeping won’t enter the room during your stay. Instead, we were given a large bag to deposit used towels outside our room door each morning, along with a card to mark any supplies we wanted. We also put our trash outside our door. We would leave for the day, and when we came back, everything we needed was sitting in a new bag outside our door. That way nobody entered our unit during our stay. Other pluses: Super friendly staff. Parking was just 10 seconds from our door. The cabin was very spacious — about 800 square feet. There was a small hot tub on property, just big enough for a family (which discouraged crowding). We never saw anyone use it besides us. The property is beautifully landscaped. We even saw a beautiful cinnamon colored bear run by our back window one evening — our first bear sighting in Tahoe in 20+ years of coming here! Just a few nits: Wish the cabin had 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. The flow could have used a wet mopping.

This place makes you feel like home , the shower is like coming out of a spa , I love that the room has all the important essentials love love this place , if you want to get away from the busy routine, come here ❤️
