Moana Sands Beachfront Villas

OUR VILLA WAS A 2 BEDROOMED UNIT RIGHT ON THE BEACH..... IT WAS AMAZING ….. IN COMPLIMENTING THE MANAGEMENT IT WAS FITTED WITH ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ONE WOULD REQUIRE.........FRESH FRUIT ….FRESH FLOWERS EVERY DAY...UNLIMITED COFFEE.....PEPPER/SALT..... BEACH TOWELS . THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS . . OUR UNIT WAS LESS THAN 15 METRES FROM THE BEACH WITH AN EXCELLENT POOL EVEN CLOSER . MY WIFE AND I COULD NOT FAULT THE VILLA IN ANY WAY THANK YOU MOANA SANDS

Second time staying here. Spa on site, newly installed pool, steps away from lovely beach with great snorkeling, picture perfect view from balcony, small supermarket across the road very handy for drinks, villa well equipped and comfortable.

Moana Sands is always a good choice if you want 2 bathrooms and bedrooms. Always clean, staff are friendly. Location is beachfront with good snorkeling and across the road from a good size store. It is a true apartment with heat pumps. A good choice although a bit more expensive this time than in March.

Booking was confused. We were given an apartment 1 bath instead of 2. The host would not believe us when we said booking was wrong and we had to find papers to prove it. Unfortunately, they had no villas for 2 nights so we had to make do. Otherwise both places were great.

In February 2018 we stayed in Apt 602. A 2 bedroom 1 bathroom upstairs beachfront apartment. Good swimming right in front of the property. The grounds and beach were raked daily. Free kayaks to explore the lagoon Located opposite is Wigmores store that had all our daily needs and a burger joint attached. cafe called Coco Latte in the same complex as Moana Sands (unfortunately closed the week we were there for annual holidays) the good local ‘Vaima’ restaurant is a 3 minute walk up the road or beach Petra in reception was very helpful and knowledgeable and checked us in efficiently The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious. Insect screens on all the windows and doors meant we could have natural ventilation, the airconditioning the couple of times we used it was efficient Fully equipped kitchen means you can cook if you want. French press for your morning coffee. Instant coffee tea milk juice and fruit supplied to get you started As with all Rarotongan accommodation there is no free wi if but reception sell a variety of Blue Sky vouchers, the strength in the rooms was ok but much stronger out the front. You can use these hotspots all round the island The only slight negative is that there is no entry way as such to dry off when you come in from the beach so remember to leave some towels at the door Highly recommended would stay here again
