Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort All Inclusive- Couples Only

If you are looking for a fun and romantic getaway, this is the place. The staff were all friendly, engaging and efficient. The activities were a lot of fun, and don’t miss out in theme nights! Food at the multiple restaurants was very good to excellent! The Master Suite was large and the 2 full baths gave my wife and I our own space to spread out. We met some great people and made some lifetime friends. Thank you to all the amazing staff that made our stay a memorable one we will be repeating again soon.

On the whole, good upkeep of the property. Many of the staff are very good, but some lack focus on providing service. In one restaurant they forgot salt and pepper one evening. They forgot to put bread at the toaster on more than one occasion breakfast, no butter, and for bread to cut yourselves, there was no knife. Depending on who was serving you, ou often had to keep asking for things. In Pearl, it was all very rushed so the next people could have your table. Food very average with little thought, and it appears that they are now trying to make cost savings on quality compared to our previous visit. Many dishes are basically the same each day, but with a different name and sauce. If you like cooked carrots, they are at every meal !! BIGGEST complaints were at checkin, where you end up with what they call Concierge. They are Timeshare people under a different name who want to sell their Premium Service. The result of NOT having this is you have what is left of beds around the pool. You have to pay for room service (not so all inclusive !!). Hotel have a large group in who took 80 or 88 rooms. You can guess who drove what was happening for everyone. We found out about the group when they all arrived, NOT from the hotel. Only once they knew of an inspection coming up did they remove the canvas covers on the stools at the swim up bar. Not very hygenic for clothing optional. Rather disapointing compared to our previous visit.

This is a Paradise on earth. Everything was fantastic and thanks to all personnel they all make you feel welcome and eager to service you exceptionally
