Hotel La Margherita & SPA

It was seriously so nice. The perfect mix of comfort and modern! The front desk clerk (male guy with glasses) was super nice and went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated properly. We usually don’t buy breakfast at hotels but this one was well worth it. Large selection of fresh juices and even had bacon! The ladies working at the breakfast counter were sweet! Book this hotel!

La Margherita is brilliantly located around the corner from the historic center city-which is magical at night. It is also close to lovely beaches. We arrived before checkin, but our room was already available. We had to leave at 5am the next morning and the front desk arranged a cab for us. The hotel has a wonderful c.1950s-60s air about it. It has been kept in good order and was quite comfortable. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We didn't have time to use the spa facilities downstairs - but they looked lovely as well.

Firstly let me say the staff are brilliant and hiw they keep a smile on their face is beyond me. This property has had no money spent on it in a long while. The rooms are a throw back to the 1960s, with furniture ive seen on a rubbish tip. The sun terrace that looks so nice on the photos and is advertised in the hotel reception is derelict. The spa area on the basement has a very weird smell and the pool water looks like in needs draining and cleaning. Breakfast was like a holiday camp with bad tasting coffee, and a watered down orange juice.

The room was a family room and spacious with 2 balconies. There were mosquitos in the room, not the hotels fault but if staying here it would be better to keep the balcony doors closed. The room had not been cleaned properly before we arrived, there was a sock under the bed and underwear in the bedside drawer! The breakfast is continental and OK. The swimming pool is lovely but it was not on the expedia reservation that it costs 4 euro per person to hire a robe, slippers and hat. Without these you cannot use it. This was an extra 16 for a family with 2 kids which is excessive when the room was already 95 euro.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location. The shower was a bit complicated to use. The spa was relaxing and came in useful on the day it rained.

Abbiamo trascorso una sola notte in questo hotel e in un periodo particolare come questo nell' hotel ci siamo sentiti tranquillo e al sicuro. Ottima pulizia e gentilezza del personale, ci hanno fatto cenare nella sala del ristorante dell' hotel prendendo qualcosa da asporto e utilizzare la spa in maniera esclusiva, la quale prevede delle pause di persone tra un nucleo familiare e l'altro in modo da igienizzare tutto. Si sono adattati perfettamente alla situazione. Ottima posizione
