Hotel Portonovo Plaza Malecón

The staff were friendly, and there was always someone on duty who spoke English. Israel and Fernando were a great help.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. Facility was very clean. It is a basic hotel in a very good location as it is close to the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta. The only negatives about this establishment is the noise level surrounding the building, traffic and voices, windows not soundproof. The internet was lacking in the evening as well, so that was somewhat frustrating. The free breakfast is a bonus, plenty of options and serving staff excellent. Love the rooftop location for restaurant!

The hotel is in n an appt xcellent location just a couple of blocks from the north end of the malecon. The interiors appear to be new and it was very reasonably priced. The room was very small, had a small window that looked out on mechanical workings. There were 2 downsides—no closet or anywhere to hang clothes as well as mattresses that were covered with some sort of plastic that made incredible amount of noise every time we rolled over. If you book be sure to ask about a window.

The staff was wonderful. Everything that we needed they provided. The breakfast was great I would definitely recommend Staying there

Beds are pretty firm, but the hotel is overall very very good!
