Hotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie - All Inclusive

The rooms were good, the food was terrible and the staff at the reception was ignorant and unfriendly about it. The spa was completely a waste of time. The traditional hamam in Morocco normally costs 100 Moroccan dirhams, I paid 500 Moroccan dirhams and it was no better than taking a regular shower... profoundly disappointing.

Superlatives

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was only for one night as we was staying in the riads for a traditional morrocan feel for the rest of our stay. The tikka hotel was very reasonably priced for all inclusive. We wanted a night of comfort for my Birthday and a pool for our 3 year old to play in. The indoor pool met our requirments for this. The outside pool like most of Morrocan pools was cold but hey hoo. Im sure in the summer its a blessing. The staff were very friendly and the Entertainment crew and kids club guys are very very friendly and all go out their way for guests. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here when i return to Marrakech or book into one of the worldwide chains which im sure i will. I enjoyed the food and selection as did my wife. A very special thank you to sofuire the entertainment guy that our daughter Ava absolutely adored. Well done hotel tikka 👍👌 🇬🇧

Was very peaceful and quiet. Food and drink was available at all hours of the day. I have to admit that, the hotel occupation at the time of my stay was very low, therefore, there were no lines, no noise or space problems.

Nice rooms. Friendly staff and all inclusive was great! Bad reception location. It’s almost like a quarter of a mile away from my room. I had over extended my stay to two more days. After checking in with front desk, then going to my room (very far away). I had to go back to reception again (very far away) because they forgot to update my key for the two more days. Also you need a better work out room with more equipment since hotel is far from the city. The shuttle bus was a great idea. Also WiFi in the rooms is very bad. I was expecting better from this hotel!!??

I liked the fact the hotel had the choice of an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. And plenty of outdoor seating areas as well as the big and beautiful reception hall seating area. The room was an excellent size and in good very clean condition which was kept up daily by the housekeeping. The beds were very comfortable and the aircon/fan was a good feature to have. Also wifi was accessible in the rooms as well as other parts of the hotel. Most staff were very friendly and helpful in the reception and restaurant areas. However the bar staff were unpleasant and looked miserable anytime we encountered them. There was an abundant choice of food available at meal times which is great. Although the cooked traditional foods weren't to our personal taste, the varied choice of buffet meant we always had options that did not disappoint. My only complaint would be the relentless flies causing bother at meal times, they'd even sit on uncovered breads, desserts and salads at the buffet which was very annoying. It was very reassuring to see security staff from day time and throughout the night where our room was situated. Even though we felt safe at the hotel at all times it was good to know there was constant security. Finally the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service at varied times through the day to take you to and collect you from the Jamma El Fna Market where you can shop at the Souks. I would recommend this hotel to all visitors going to Marrakech.

Très bel hôtel, jardins magnifique, chambre immense . Bémol sur la nourriture.. pas de jus de fruits frais , très peu de nourriture local, bien dommage... animation quasi inexistante ..

We had a truly wonderful vacation - just before the corona crisis got worse. We hope all employees at the hotel are safe. We really enjoyed all magnificient shows during evenings.
