Wyndham Garden Berlin Mitte

Staff were not friendly or helpful at check in. Room was very dark and dated. Location isn't ideal because it's far away from City center.

We came a family of 5, three generations, for 3 separate rooms. My grandparents who have issues standing and walking was missing some utilities in their room, mostly for the shower (my grandfather is missing half a leg and didn't have anything to assist him in the shower). My own room never got a turndown, whilst my parents room got every night. It wasn't a big problem as I was by myself and only spent the time in the room for sleep. The rooms were fine, some a bit tight for free space, but for each of us it was OK. Staff was friendly and helpful (during the stay), and there was a nice outside sitting area we could all be together at, to cool a little bit for the very warm weekend. It was close to the tram which connected nicely to the S/U bahns, which was nice for my grandmother who can't walk too long. Breakfast buffet was great with a great selection. We ate at the "restaurant" one night, with a limited selection, but food was OK. Private parking was fine, so we didn't have to worry about the car, and just take the public transportation and taxi.

While described as being central, this isn't really the case. Only with thanks to Berlin's good transport links can you get to places within a good reach from this hotel. The staff were often rude (with the exception of front desk clerk Jenna, who was particularly helpful throughout and made us feel welcome here), there was no consideration for the "do not disturb" sign by house keeping (who sometimes bothered to clean, sometimes didn't), tea/coffee facilities were only available upon request, the lift didn't work for part of the stay (my fellow traveller has mobility issues, stairs are not his friend). For the money spent, we expected more. You get a sub-standard in a hot room that will only be cooled by a fan. You're better off elsewhere.

Stafd was helpful with directions to train station and other sites to visit.

The property is lovely, although it’s not in Mitte as name suggests. Laundry facilities listed do no exist, although I did find an excellent laundromat in easy walking distance. The staff we encountered with the exception of one were unfriendly, unhelpful and reception staff were rude and dismissive.

Rooms were spacious with a warehouse feel. The front court yard was a pleasant place to hang

I was at the hotel on the hottest day of the year so far and the hotel lacked air conditioning in the room. This made the stay very unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel during the summer months.

The hotel was very conveniently near a tram stop. Good links to all main stations. Hotel had a lovely outside seating area for evenings when the weather was warm. Beds very comfy, and rooms well appointed. In room safe

Very close to public transportation, wait to sign up for breakfast when you check in, breakfast is awesome, the Wyndam is a nice hotel.

Very interesting. Saw more things than previous. Enjoyed the connectivity to City Centre et al
