Base Wellington - Hostel

Shower head was broken and the tv didn’t work. So I went to inform The front desk about these 2 things and they said someone will be up to fix it, I went out for an hour or so come Back and both the shower and tv weren’t working. By 1030pm I had packed my bags and walked out asked for a refund and was refused as they said they were waiting for me to come back to them

Great location and lots of restaurants around. Very comfortable bed! 👍

Excellent location, beautiful building, shared areas clean but crowded. The limited desk hours and lack of staff was confusing, others sites say 24/7 but Hotels.com got it right 'limited hours' means exactly that. Arrived with bags to signs saying "not staffed until ****" Only option for luggage storage was long term and no staff around to get that option either, Auckland Base has options so I thought it would be the same within the franchise. Instead of the planned lunch time walk around in Wellington I went exploring the busy building but with bags then chose instead to walk and sit and wait in a local park as I found them within close walking distance, another option is to go across the road and watch a movie until staff available. Wellington has many excellent cafes for coffee, was not going to use the room kettle as it looked as though was used to boil dirty socks. The view was beautiful.
