Park Hotel Post Freiburg

An elegant property vary convenient for the old town. All the staff we encountered were extremely efficient, polite and friendly. Small touches, such as complementary water, fruit and confectionary made our stay even better. Our bedroom was nicely decorated. Garage parking, at 15 euros per night was useful. I would strongly recommend the hotel.

The Hotel is well placed and easily found from the Railway and Bus Station (we came from Basel on a Flixbus service who also do a coach transfer direct to Basel Airport). The City centre is easily walked to from this Hotel. The breakfast room is a little small for the number of rooms at this Hotel but we always were provided with a table. It just gets a little cramped around the self-service area when its busy. There was plenty of continental breakfast choice and the food was of a good quality and taste. We enjoyed it every day. It would be a nice touch if there was a little background music added to the experience. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the park. It was a large room and had a great separate bathroom which was huge with a walk-in shower, separate bathtub and his & hers washbasins. Towels were refreshed every day if you wanted. The air-conditioning unit was quiet and it was needed as it was quite hot when we visited (22-28 degrees). The beds were comfortable although they did get a little too hot for us. I needed an extra pillow which the Hotel were happy to accommodate. All the staff, including the room servicing, breakfast and reception teams were very friendly even though we are English (that's a joke by the way!). We could get tickets for the trains, trams and buses from the Reception staff. The public transport system has three circular zones. The central zone is free and covers most of the city centre and out to about 4 kms.

A very nice place to stay. Walking distance to the main downtown areas. The breakfast was very good, but seating area a bit small, if felt a bit rushed when eating. Overall, it was very comfortable and I would recommend this hotel.

Parking garage is small and I recommend reserving parking in advance, if needed. We were fortunate to get the one remaining space upon check-in. Breakfast was fresh & tasty. Staff was accommodating. Location is perfect.

The hotel was lovely. Just a 30 second walk to the old city. Loved the staff, very helpful and accommodating. Room was great, heat and air functioning very well. Breakfast was included and there were always small cookies and fresh fruit in th reception area. I would stay here again without hesitation.

What a wonderful hotel in an exceptionally good location near Altstadt and the Hauptbahnhof! The “culture and literature” theme made it quite charming and cozy. Books were on shelves everywhere, including in the room, and free fruit was available for snacking in the lobby at all hours. The bed was very comfortable and the room quite clean. I would definitely book here again.

The hotel has no AC.

Park Hotel Post is in a great location if you're coming in via train. It couldn't be more than 1/4 mile walk from the station, and is a short walk away from the sights in Old Town. The service was exceptional, and the front desk staff is super helpful and kind. Decor is a little quirky and fun, and the bed was comfortable. We especially liked the blackout blinds so we could sleep in. Each morning, there was a buffet-style breakfast. Overall, we had a very nice stay at Park Hotel Post.

Sehr schönes, stilvolles Hotel. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Frühstück ansprechend. Das Einzelzimmer war geräumig und sauber. Nur 400m vom Hauptbahnhof weg und nur 5 Gehminuten zur Altstadt.
