Mercure Daventry Court Hotel

Overall it was a nice stay and I would recommend it for a business trip or if you are in the Daventry area for the weekend. The food for breakfast and dinner was good however the bar service was very slow on the Saturday night when it got a little busy. Also the pool is a little worse for wear.

Reception staff were lovely as usual, pool area was nice an staff lovely there, room was lovely no issues. I had an awful time at the restaurant, no organisation, that staff didn't seem to know what they were doing because of the refurb that was going on and the bar being in the restaurant. Waited over an hour for my food and all in all I spent over 2 hours waiting for various things there. In the end I was offered a full refund but I still haven't received as no one seems to know how to do it. What annoyed me the most is apart from the reception staff no one seemed to care, I felt like a idiot waiting with my dessert (wanting to go to my room to eat it as I'd been there so long) for my refund which I didnt get. Missed out on the pool that evening because of this.

A nice stay as always in this hotel one concern was our room was charged for a meal we didn't have and we were given a wake up call 2 hours before we intended to rise. If the meal was signed for why did the waiter not ask for a view of the room card and if the wake up call was put in from a room phone call surely the line number would have been indicated on the system? Would be nice to know why two basic systems failed.

Great service, lovely food. Would definitely recommend. Room nice and clean.

Service was very bad
