Super 8 by Wyndham Calgary/Airport

Have stayed here every week for over a year and have never had a problem. Monday night I Could smell something in bed like BO. Could not tell if it was sheets or pillows. Then the people above me were banging on the floor for hours. Woke me up twice. The in the morning went to make coffee and the machine had old Coffee in it and filter with mold. Tried To tell the front desk man but he had no interest. I asked if they had complaint cards and he said just send an email. Tried to tell him what happened but walked Away saying something about paying online??? Not Sure.

It’s a small quaint little hotel, we stopped on our way through town. It’s not the easiest location just to pull in if it’s dark. The front staff is super friends, room was clean and had the basics of what you need. It was a great little for the price and a place to lay our heads for the night.

I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the free airport shuttle! Unfortunately all of the towels in my room were stained. It made me kind of uncomfortable.

The price is cheap, no hand sanitizer at the front desk.

The room key did not work for the main door- the card lock was pretty much broken off the door. Man at the front desk kept telling me how to open the door as though I do not know how to open a door. I was given a different room which was good. Breakfast was a little muffin and a juice box in a bag...not great at all. The room overall was decent for the price.

I stay here a lot and it is usually very nice. The reason for the disappointing review is that the bath tub had hair in it from a previous guest and there was still hair on the walls of the shower. Not just one hair, several. Which makes me wonder what else did not get cleaned or cleaned well, especially during this covid time where everything should be extra clean.

Garbage behind tv and in bathroom. Stained tub, TINY towels and only get 2. No “included” breakfast, no rollaway beds. But worst of all our DOOR DIDNT LOCK. We were gone all day and the door just opened without the need of a key so all our belongings and valuable were NOT SECURED! Also basic cable. No ability to even purchase a movie.

Old, smells but big rooms . Clogged sink and needed to flush at least 3 times.

Room was only okay and receptionist wasn’t really the friendliest.

Good basic hotel near to the airport, with a lot of different restaurants within walking distance, ranging from fast food to Indian, Chinese, Ramen and others.
