ibis Paris Montmartre 18ème

Well organised with great covid actions. Staff helpful and pleasant. Breakfast obviously not the usual buffet but instead a tray taken back to your room. The rooms are small but comfortable. There is no in room kettle but this was known in advance do i took a trvel kettle. Location is great, metro and velib very nearby. Plenty of restaurants around. In short affordable, clean, well located. Just what i wanted.

Room looks nothing like the pictures. Bathroom had mold growing on bottom of shower. Toilet was filthy with menstrual blood all over it.

And Ibis is an Ibis, you get nothing fancy but it’s clean and comfortable. Or so I thought. I must have been spoilt in the Ibis we’ve stayed in the past. The first room we were allocated had the bed up against the wall of the room, not practical for 2 adults and not like the picture. I went down to ask for a new room and was given another one at once, not an issue. Our next room had adequate space on either side and looked just like the pictures so that was fine. The bed was comfortable enough and there was a spare pillow on the shelf. The main let down was the bathroom. Grout around tiles varied for white to black, huge cracked tile where the shower had been attached to wall, but worst was the black mould on the ceiling. I’m not surprised, if there was any ventilation in the room it was minimal. No excuse for mould though. The air con system in the room didn’t work or wasn’t meant to work in winter. We slept with the window open in the end as it was far too hot. We ended up with a mosquito in the room (which seems odd given the weather) and both my husband and I woke to about 10 bites each on our arms and faces, anything basically above the duvet. Breakfast was the best bit of the stay, more than adequate, always replenished. Staff at front desk were pleasant but when we checked in we weren’t told where or when breakfast was, or when check out was. All pretty basic info I would have thought. Would I stay again? Not with that mould! Unacceptable.

It is a basic place to stay. Nothing outstanding nor anything that is a show stopper.

Great Hotel! Very clean, allowed me to check-in at 10 am local time when normal check-in is at noon. I was traveling solo so the room size was perfect, but I didn't spend much time in the room. Metro stations are within walking distance. The only thing to mention was the plugs, as you can see from the picture attached my universal plug hung over the outlet and on the light switch so the plug continued to fall out. there are only 2 outlets in the room, one next to the bed and one in the bathroom. I also had a view of the graveyard from my room, which for me was enjoyable, but for others, they my not think so. All in all a great hotel and a great say!

Excellent location, comfy beds & pillows, helpful staff

Very noisy at night, i could hear people slamming doors in the middle of the night. It happened a few times between 4 and 6 am in the morning. Had a very bad night.

Our stay was very good. The location of this hotel makes it excellent. The cleanliness and service are both very good. The only thing that is missing is a small fridge. So we couldn’t have cold water or buy some fruits unfortunately. There wasn’t any kettle or cups or tea and coffee facilities. However, you can ask for a kettle. But the fact that there’s no fridge made us ask reception to keep our medications. In general, I would come here again because of the great location mainly.

The receptionist was very polite & helped us through all of our demands the room was bigger than expected beside is very convenient location definitely will recommend this hotel to others & will stay in another time
