First Hotel Grand Odense

A couple of little things added up to a slightly disappointing experience - especially for a hotel claiming to be four-star. When we arrived, we instantly noticed stains on the mattress pad that were visible through the sheet. The receptionist said she would ask housekeeping to change it the next day, so we took it off and left it folded with some of the stains visible. Housekeeping never changed it or even removed the stained one. We were given one large towel and three small ones for a double room. The pillows were lumpy and there were only two - no extra. At one point the toilet stopped working and wouldn’t flush at all. The room was hot despite us leaving the window open all day - we had to close it at night because of noise from outside. The bed was very soft. All in all, it just wasn’t a four-star experience, which is fine, but not what we expected. The receptionist was very polite and seemed pretty stressed. The breakfast was lovely and well-organised, considering COVID-19 restrictions. Location was very handy, close to the station and the city centre. We had no issues with noise from the other rooms.

Brillant Location !

The hotel has a lot of potential. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast hall is grand, but all the furniture and the overall condition of the hotel is not at its best. The furniture is old. Generally, it needs a face lift. Staff is very nice though and the location is excellent.

The hotel needs complete room refurbishment. The bathrooms are a bit old and the toilet is placed in the middle of the toilet where it looks a weird. the room itself looks old and all the walls needs to be repainted. The couch in the room was EXTREMELY dirty, especially on the handles at each end where it is almost black or dark brown in color due to all the people resting their arms on it. Breakfast was nice and the eating place is huge which was good when it comes to COVID-19 precautions.

This is an old once-a-grand hotel with good vibe but dated infrastructure and facilities. The hotel was clean with nice and helpful staff; however, if you're seeking a hotel in which you can have good time and enjoy the residence itself, this is not the place. The room is quite dark with poor air conditioning and archaic facilities but the charm of an old house. The lobby and lounge are quite small and not meant to provide a comfortable space to spend quality time.

We had a great stay. Clean room, friendly and accommodating staff, and delicious breakfast buffet. Highly recommended!

Was very happy with my visit. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and modern. Also, the breakfast. I looked forward to the breakfast every night. It was the highlight of the day for me.

Hotel is old and outdated. Service very average. Followed their parking instructions and got a €100 ticket and they won’t help me resolve it. Avoid this hotel!
