Flamingo Vallarta Hotel & Marina

We have stayed at this same hotel at least 6 times because we love the location and the people. A couple years ago they changed management and started promoting "all inclusive" and it has changed. If you don't do all inclusive its very hard to get service and the food is not to our liking at the buffet. It was very bland. We probably will not be returning to this hotel even though the location is perfect for us! So sad...

Check in was a nightmare. Spoke with the front desk manager, (Sandra) and was treated as if we were guilty of something. After spending 2 hours, we finally were checked in. Made our experience very uncomfortable. When we complained of the treatment, she pretty much shrugged her shoulders and said we were welcome to go elsewhere, but without offering a refund. The towels in the room were very old. The water pressure came and went making it difficult to shower. It’s too bad because the property is right on the Marina. I will never go back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The check in process was smooth. From there it went downhill. The hotel room assigned to us two rooms. Room 413. The safe in the room was not working and they had to replace it. Light bulbs out in the room and no light at all in the bathroom. We called and they came and fixed it. Then tv remote was not working and got fixed. The overall condition of the room was run down. Room 315: the shower head had no pressure and toilet would not flush right. Towels in the rooms are old and embarrassing. Prices at the restaurant are very reasonable however service is horrible except one lady server name America (she was very nice). The bartenders and pool staff are very nice but the pool furniture is old and run down. The gym is embarrassing with couple of rusty equipment and a none functioning treadmill. Now the worst for the end: The front desk manager is the rude and unprofessional. She argues with the guest and insults them with indifference and a none caring attitude. She is very unprofessional. There is a reason this hotel is cheap, but I would pay double not to experience anything like this. It’s too bad because this hotel is in a convenient location and has potential but it is poorly managed.
