Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. It was a little hard to find (the taxi drivers all needed a map. It was close to Nijo Castle and Kyoto train station so that was very convenient. The door frames are low and the bathroom small but this is to be expected and was not a problem for us. Traffic noise can occasionally be heard but it didn't bother us too much. The inn is very clean. The hostess/owner is very gracious and friendly but speaks no English. It gave us a chance to use our Japanese and it worked out. There are 2 staff that speak enough English to get by if needed. One thing to note is the curfew (10pm) but this was not an issue for us. Check in is fairly late (4pm) so we just dropped off our bags and came back when we had finished site seeing for the day. They provide tea and a tea set in the room but that's it as far as snacks and drinks. Again, a very good experience overall. We got a true local feel and enjoyed our stay. If you do stay here, be sure to have the ryokan information (with phone number) for the taxi drivers. Подробнее

Service was lovely, very traditional experience & breakfast. However, bathroom could be refurbished. It is located close to main Kyoto train station but there is not much to see within walking distance (we rented bikes)

I stayed one night at Ryokan Izuyasu. It is in a great location just 5 minutes from Kyoto station, and thus is very convenient for all local bus journeys to tourist sites. The traditional experience provided by this Ryokan was perfect....from the amazing traditional multi-course dinner served by the owner in traditional kimono in my room, to the multi-course […] traditional breakfast, the mat floors, the futon and the soba bean pillow. Ryokan Izuyasu is a quaint little ryokan in Kyoto. The service and food were excellent, but what my wife and I enjoyed most was the smaller atmosphere. The size is one par with a bed and breakfast. This ryokan is a smaller one which will give you a nice sense of traditional Japan, without the feel of a busy hotel. Very comfortable.

Ryokan Izuyasu offers an upmarket traditional ryokan experience. The room was big and clean. The dinning experience was very nice. The location is very convinient (walking distance to Kyoto Station).

This Ryokan is very close to the train station and central to the city. Most touristic spots are from walking distance (take 30 minutes and a mean). The room was fine (Japanese Style) and had a heater on since it was chilly during night (End of March stay). The bathroom has no heating so you can decide to have to wait unti the water gets hot or go downstairs […] to have a Japanese Style bath. I decided for the later and it was very good. I was alone all the times. Hotel staff was very nice and were willing to help all the time. Japanese style breakfast was served in the room and was excellent. Really a nice place to stay! Подробнее

It's a very typical Ryokan which is good. however, felt more like a family run business not too professional. As a tourist I would recommend the Ryokan Ryimekan Honten in Ochanmizo in Tokyo. This one is very hard to find, only small sign outside the place. The bath is shared which is fine but it closes at about 8:30 - 9:00 pm. The choices of Futon is […] not the best. tiring night. 井筒安旅館鄰近京都車站 附近也有公車站及地鐵站交通非常方便 附近的東本願寺在秋天銀杏染黃天空剎是美麗 旅館的服務人員很親切 環境也很乾淨整潔 是一間很有日式風味的傳統旅館 早餐非常美味 服務人員會在你指定的時間將早餐送來 也會在你外出回到旅館前將床鋪好 準備好新的浴衣 整理好環境 在這邊住了五個晚上的我覺得是一個很好的體驗 我的房間是有附浴室的 浴室雖然比較小一點 然後有一點冷 不過不影響居住的品質 房間很大 該有的用品包括吹風機 盥洗用具都有(本來擔心傳統旅館會沒有附) 整體而言是一個值得推薦的旅館喔 在櫃台旁的小客廳有提供免費的wifi

今年の秋の土日に、泊まりました。秋の京都は本当にホテルが取れないため、ダメもとで探していたエクスペディアで偶然に発見。偶然にもかかわらず、本当に素敵なホテルでした。 館内は古く、かといって不潔ではない、品のいい古めかしさがあり、よく手入れをされた京の町屋そのものといった雰囲気です。2人部屋に泊まったのですが、あと2人ほど泊まれるのではないかと思うほど、広くゆったりとした部屋で、とてもくつろげました。また、スタッフの方の対応もとても心地よく、泊まった当日は雨が降っていて傘を玄関に入れたのですが、チェックインをしている間に、手の空いたスタッフが玄関先に傘を広げ、干してくれているなど、とても心遣いを感じるサービスでした。 極め付けに、とても立地がよく、京都駅から徒歩10分ほど。そのわりに回りは […] 閑静な住宅街のためかとても静かで、とても落ち着いた雰囲気です。東本願寺にも程近く、観光にも便利ですし、機会があったら、また是非利用したいです。 Подробнее

朝食に朝がゆ云々という感想があったので楽しみにしていたのですが、コースが違ったからなのか、普通のご飯食だったのは残念でした。また、部屋のカーテンレールが古く、カーテンの滑りが悪かったのが気になりました。唯一よかった点として、出発の朝は雨が激しく、宿近くのコンビニの場所を伺った後、傘の手配の申し出をいただけたのは非常にありがたかったです。

歷史悠久的旅館, 一定看得出歲月的痕跡. 但也體會的到旅館人員盡全力為顧客服務的熱誠。 體會到在連續劇看到的大眾澡堂，默默的提早在其他人晚飯時間一個人跑進去趕快洗。 無論如何都是不到日本是體驗不到的有趣經驗！

It was expensive compared to western hotels. But you are paying for true Kyoto tradition, which you certainly get. But if you are looking for modern western convenience, then you will be disappointed. We really liked the traditional ryokan and enjoyed it very much.
