Delightful setting with polite and very helpful staff. Overall condition getting a bit tired and jaded plus bizarre happenings like pulling all the dining room curtains when full sun is shining outside. The stairs are tortuous and would be impossible for anyone with an arthritic hip. Spent a lovely weekend at the Lamb Inn. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere cosy and v romantic. Bed was very comfortable and surroundings very quiet at night. Excellent.

This inn is overrated, overpriced and run down. How did it get 4 stars from the English Tourist Board? Mediocre restaurant meals and limited breakfast. No heating despite cold evenings and mornings in early May. No hot water at 11.00 p.m., had to suffer cold shower. If this is a 4 star inn many of the well known chains would get 5 stars.

Nice old cottage, typical of the ones in Cotswolds. Although old, it's well maintained with " feel good" rooms and bathroom.

Brilliant suite, but heating is not good enough and Fireplaxe in the pictures don't really work! We asked for additional heaters but it was still cold! Internet don't work in the room and mobile 3G is not covered in the area! Though I still recommend the hotel!

This is indeed a wonderful old pub and B&B. However, we stayed in "the stables", which were, in truth a little too small to be considered comfortable. The owners have obviously tried to make the most of the space, but it they could easily justify making this one large room, rather than splitting it into two separate units. The location means that the […] town is not walking distance so you are tied to eating and drinking at the pub if you want to drink alcohol. No problems with quality of food, but there are nicer, cheaper places in town. Good for one night for us, but the bed did sag into the middle, which does seem quite common for hotels these days. The Lamb Inn is a fun quirky place with modern fittings in an historic building. Little doorways and steps, but lovely fittings and bed. The Breakfast was the best ever. Full english beakfast with amazing sausages. Lovely little village nice for a morning walk. Close to Bourton on the Water, but you need a car. Clean. good value.

We were made to feel welcome when we arrived, the room was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, the food was fantastic. We will certainly visit there again.

Lovely accommodation in a 300 year old Inn in a quiet Cotswold village away from the more touristy villages. We spent one night in room five (the double room above the bar) and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We enjoyed a few pints of local lager in the garden outside and then ate a […] hearty meal in the restaurant. As it's the only restaurant in the village it pays to book for dinner if you're not planning on heading to nearby Bourton-on-the-water. The servings were plentiful and the selection varied. The hotel was in a lovely position just outside Bourton on the water and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of lovely gift shops, tea rooms and pubs in Bourton in a very pretty and relaxing setting. We particularly enjoyed Birdland and the penguins. The Cotswolds is very picturesque and we would like to return one day.

could do with a soap dish or similar in the shower as there is nowhere to put your soap apart from the floor. Kettle lead way to short and could do with a smaller kettle as its very difficult to fill from the sink. TV very hard to use due to poor design of remote.Breakfast was superb.

This is a gorgeous country inn, and the staff, were excellent even managed to get a recipe from the chef. An out of the way inn/pub great for an escape from the tourist routes. Staff are lovelly and look after you, not a great stay for disabled persons, very old buidling, with up and down hallway & stairs. Worth the visit, would stay again. ;)

We ate at the hotel on the night of our arrival but the food just tasted of rock salt it had been sprinkled very heavily all over it and it was not reasonably priced either for the amount that had been served (small portions) , the belly of pork was over cooked/dry and not edible and was left. The next day the breakfast plates were swimming in oil/fat […] and again an excessive amount of rock salt had been sprinkled over it. The staff were very friendly helpful though. The room/bathroom both were very small . Second night we ate in a pub nearby and it was totally opposite food was very good and excellent value. This was a last minute booking to get away for the weekend. The hotel was in a very small village with little or no traffic. The staff were very friendly and also professional. The room I stayed in was spotless with all the usall tea making facilities. Just need to be cautious of the very low ceilings and very small staircase to access the room on the […] first floor. I arranged for an evening meal and have to say it is well worth eating in the Lamb Inn. All together a marvelious place to stay with a great deal of character and friendly proffesional staff. Very idyllic Cotswolds country pub with rooms. Food was traditional English and very tasty. The staff we met were very polite and helpful and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our one night at The Lamb. Lovely village. Room excellent (as we got a free upgrade to a suite), helpful staff, good food. Only downside side was lack of atmosphere in the dining room - seemed a bit tired & dusty.
