Edinburgh Central Guest House - Эдинбург

This was a lovely guesthouse in the heart of New Town. Only blocks from Princes St. Gardens, and a short (but steep) walk to the Royal Mile. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the accomodations were clean and comfortable. This guesthouse was a pleasant suprise! I would definitely stay here again if I return to Edinburgh.

The location is fantastic - short walk to shops, bars, restaurants. My room was really clean, the shared bathroom was spotless. Staff were friendly and really nice.

Really nice couple. Really great location, E1(can't get better than between George and Princes Street). Only thing that was a little bit of a let down was the lack of cooked food in morning, that said, the choice for continental was very good.

This is an excellent Bed and Breakfast Hotel with a great location. The room is small by cozay. The wifi service is spotty, but it is free, exists in your room (not just the lobby as in many hotels), and works fine for checking e-mail. And lets be honest, this is a hotel for those visiting Edinburgh and there is more than enough to do outside your hotel, […] so streaming lots of video isn't really necessary. The proprietor is friendly (but not too overly chatty, as I have found to be a problem at some B&Bs). There are shared bathrooms, so you might have to wait a bit for a shower, but I never encountered such a problem. The bed was good sized and very comfortable. But the best part about this place is the location. Located right in the heart of the posh neighborhood known as New Town, it gives you close access to great shopping and eating and is still pretty close to all the famous sights you'll want to check out. The breakfast did not have an overabundance of choice, but the food was good and the selection of croissants, meats, cheeses, fruit and cereal was more than enough for me. I have just spent 4 nights at the end of September at the Edinburgh Central Guest House with a friend and we couldn't have felt more welcomed and comfortable than we did here! I believe that Morag and Paul who were looking after us have recently taken over the running of this hotel and they are doing a fantastic job! We had a lovely spacious twin ensuite […] room which was beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable with tea, coffee (and biscuits!) amenities in our room. Breakfast, with a good selection of cereals, fruit juices,cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit, croissants, toast etc was served downstairs in the dining room. The guest house was easy to get to - just a few minutes walk from the airport shuttle bus which dropped us on Princes St and they happily accommodated our late arrival. The only annoying thing was to share the bathroom with two more rooms meaning eight people had to share. It was quite difficult to just go.

I am an American student who was traveling from London to spend two days and a night in Edinburgh. The Central Guest House was a great deal for the money. Edinburgh Central Guest House is located in New Town, just a very short walk (maybe ten minutes) from Princes Street in Central Edinburgh. Very nice hotel very close to the main attractions. The only problem was that we had to share bathroom. Besides that, everything was fine, the lady was very helpful and kind and the breakfast was good. The rooms were big and confortable, perfect place to finish the long days.

I severely enjoyed my stay at Edinburgh Central Guest House. Due to some poor planning, I had to arrive earlier in the day and had a pleasant communication prior to arrival - great sign. This is a great little hotel for the travel hopper or a couple. Although you do share a bathroom, the place is on a quiet street centrally located in New Town. It's ideal for seeing the main sights of Edinburgh and in a nice shopping area of town. The service was great and the accommodations very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a very pleasant surprise. Great location, friendly and clean. Only down side was shared bathroom but there was no queue in the morning and it was tidy and clean. Breakfast at Ricks was nice too as they do not serve breakfast, they offer a choice of 2 places to have breakfast instead. Great choice! Would recommend it!

Myself and my Girlfriend stayed in the guest house for 2 nights in April. The location of the accommodation was easy to find and very central to all activities within the city centre. Even for hikes up Calton Hill and Arthurs Seat, along with the Castle being a matter of minutes walk away. Rigtig udmærket B&B. Morgenmaden kunne have været mere varieret, men bestemt OK. Venligt og imødekommende personale. Brusenichen på værelset var lige lovlig lille, og jeg foretrækker min egen dyne i dobbeltsengen, og havde sikkert fået det hvis jeg havde spurgt. hvilket jeg ikke gjorde, da vi kun skulle overnatte to gange. Vi var två kompisar som hade jättetrevligt. Rummet var litet men rent. Toa i korridor, fräsh. Tyvärr ingen där på söndagar!! Då vi behövde hjälp m taxi till flygplatsen. Vi ordnade det trots att kl. Var 03.00. Bra ställe om man vill bo mitt i centrum. Bra service vid frukost.

Stayed here for one night - really lovely people. Helped us with booking of taxis and directions. Really central. Had a nice clean room and enjoyed a nice breakfast :) Let us stay a little bit later than check-out as we got a little bit delayed - very accommodating to us :)

Nous avons séjourné 4 nuits dans cet hôtel durant le mois de mai 2012. Bon petit hôtel, très bien situé. Bon rapport qualité/prix pour le centre-ville. L'accueil par la responsable est très bien, les chambres sont grandes et suffisamment confortables. Le petit-déjeuner buffet est bien également. Nous y retournerons volontiers !

Mkt centralt beläget B&B med trevlig och hjälpsam värdinna. Städning av rummet varje dag, inkl bäddning och byte av handdukar. Rummet var fräsch och såg nymålat ut. Sängarna var helt ok, standard komfort. Enda ljud som var störande var att det var mycket luft i varmvattenrören så man hörde tydligt när grannarna duschade. Annars tyst. Très bien, très accueillant. Ma chambre n'était pas cher pour Edinburgh, mais j'avais la salle de bain sur le palier. Très propre, et je ne l'ai jamais vue occupée. Le quartier est parfait. A deux pas du centre historique, et plus sympathique.

This hotel/guest house has is perfectly located close to Princes street and all historical attractions. Bus from the airport (Airlink) stops in Princes Street....5 - 10 min. walk to hotel. Hotel looks nice, very nice atmosphere, nice and friendly personel (only in the guest house from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.) Room (nr.14) was nice, the included bath room was […] OK, but the shower was not more than a small closet. The walls are not that thick, so you can hear the people in the neigbouring rooms, most annoying was the sound of the bathtub filling up (next door!). Free WiFi was not that strong at the 2nd floor (in the rooms).....at the hall is was OK. Breakfast not in hotel, but in a closeby (100m) cafetaria or anorther cafetaria/hotel (100m aswell). The receptionist was very helpful, the location is great, the en-suite room good and warm. The only minus was the small shower corner.
