Good sized bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms, bottled water provided as standard with coffee and tea etc. Staff helpful, extra pillows arrived immediately. The hotel is in a nice location with good service and restaurant, bar, etc. However, if like me to you travelling for business and have a long drive the next day, getting a good night's sleep is more important. My bed was small and rickety and it had an old fashioned blanket rather than a duvet. The room was hot even with the radiator turned off. Almost perfect. A romantic weekend in the beautiful hidden gem that is Sonning. Walking distance from The Mill and French Horn. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful, the only problem was that the lighting in the room was full or none. individual lamps could not be isolated

I had a good nights sleep at this hotel. It was very nice. The staff were very helpful. Will stop there next time i am in the area.

Clean and friendly in a small village location. Restaurant food was excellent. As was food in the local pub. Not much around by way of shops etc. suited me who was on business at Thames Valley Park - only 10 minutes drive from the hotel.

Room a little tired and in need of redecoration. Staff helpful and pleasant, food very good and location very pretty. Overall almost a good hotel.

First of all, the Not so good bits. The Great House at Sonning is out of town and there isn't much close by. Fortunately the location isn't a problem for me as I can walk along the river bank to work, but I do use the car to nip to the local shops which are a few miles away. There is quite a lot of traffic travelling through this tiny village, and […] you really do need transport to get into town unless you fancy a one hour walk along the river bank. Now for the good bits. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, fairly well proportioned, and have the added benefit of WiFi - which is a bit on the slow side, especially in the evening, but usable most of the time, and FREE. The car park has plenty of space, so there's no issues with settling the car in for the week, and it's easy to find another spot if you nip out and someone else nips in while you're out. There's also a night porter (John) to help with anything you need, and he really is a nice, friendly, and helpful guy. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Cooked breakfast is very clean, well presented, and of sufficient size to leave you satisfied and well prepared for the long day ahead. There is also a selection of Yoghurts, fruit juices, fruit, and cereals available on entry to the restaurant. Rooms have TV, complimentary tea, coffee, bottled water (in real glass bottles) and biscuits, and bath gel/soap/shampoo. Overall I've enjoyed it here, so much so that I'm now on my third trip in as many weeks - but this time I'm staying all week. I'm here on business, but if my wife ever fancies coming down with me, then this is the place I'd book - as long as she has use of the car! Подробнее

Excellent room with plenty of space. Large garden, but fenced off from river. Good breakfast. Shame the plates had not been warmed. Close to Henley which we were visiting.

We stayed here for my wife's 40th birthday. The hotel is superb and we will stay again. The eveing meal and breakfast food was worth the money. Very close to Henely too. Great location and easy safe parking.
