Great room in the outhouse, which has been converted to 3 bedrooms. Food in the pub is magnificent and reasonably priced. Could not stay for breakfast as it didn't start until 8.30, however this would not put me off staying here again. Well worth a visit if in area.

The rooms were lovely however at £60 we expected breakfast to be included. The breakfast was an additional £20 for 2 and was of very poor quality. We were only offered full English, toast and juice. The full English was basic. I might stay again given we have friends in the area however I would not have breakfast, it was unfortunately rather overpriced […] and not enjoyable. Подробнее

The food was good, the pub itself was very cosy with an open fire and real ale on tap. It was in an ideal spot for me as i was working in the local area for a couple of days. The pub itself dates back to the 1650s and the guest bedrooms are located within a recently furbished ancient stable block at the side of the pub. The rooms are all identical and ours was modern and comfortable. Some reviewers have said that the rooms are too small and cramped but we did not agree with these unfair reviews. There was enough room for […] us to enjoy our stay and be comfortable. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with shower. The pub is a very friendly and welcoming village Inn with friendly staff and pleasant attitudes. We found the food to be absolutely superb. I recommend the chicken boscaiola. Breakfast is a must if you are a bacon & Eggs lover. The bacon was thick dry cure rashers and the breakfast was worth every penny. If you arrive to check in late then, because the rooms are located externally in the rear courtyard, this can be catered for providing that you let them know. If you arrive after the pub has closed the staff can leave your key in the external door to your room. This means that you could roll up at say 2.00am in the morning and still be able to get into your room without any problem. Finally, with regard to car parking there is ample on site parking and so no worries here. In terms of advice, the walls between rooms are quite thin and so rowdy behaviour or loud TV etc late at night will attract complaints from your neighbours. All in all, definitely recommended by us because it is simply light years better than a Travel Lodge or similar. Подробнее

Very comfortable bed with high quality bedding, room a little small, but more than adequate for our purpose, possibly a chair in the room would be nice. Excellent breakfast and service. Overall a lovely place to stay in a quaint village and would give it a high recommendation

Room was clean enough but size was incredibly small. The skylight didn't work properly and therefore as there were no other windows it was very dark. Handle fell off the shower door. However cheap room for the area I suppose and dinner in the bar was very good although wine over-priced.

Nice basic inn. The room is dorm room small and the bath is spare. no mirror over the sink meant difficulties shaving. Hot water was barely hot on its hottest setting. The food in the dining room was good. For the price it is a good value, just know that you are paying a low price.

Warm, clean and excellent location - old pub in a very pretty village BUT far too small for 2 people - been in small rooms but this was ridiculously compact : could not walk around the bed - one person had to jump over the other, no space for bedside tables, bedside lights on the wall just where you laid your head, and very small delux window high up […] - would have been better if the horse boxes had been converted into one, or maximum two rooms but converting them into 3 bedrooms meant very mean space. Was in the outbuilding number 3. The "window" (well tiny skylight) was open and the central heating wasn't turned on so was cold as no heaters were in the room. The room is adequate enough. The breakfast was a joke, £10 for a cheap sausage, 2 bacon, 1 big mushroom, 1 egg & 1 uncooked hard tomato. Came with a tea, small glass of OJ & toast. The pub and the village were nice as were the staff. The room wasn't bad but a gate outside was banging in the wind all night and kept us awake. The breakfast was too expensive and drinks at the bar were also overpriced. The dinner was reasonablly priced and the food was excellent. Overall , it was coveniant and quite cheap to stay there. Arrived at the hotel late, after some difficulty in finding. Made to feel very welcome on arrival - first thing had an evening meal. The food was fantastic, and so was the service. Room was clean and tidy, couldn't ask for more for the price. Only issue I have was the shower was very difficult to get the right temparature - either too hot or too cold. […] Also, we checked out early, and there was no where to leave the room key, so we had to leave in room keyhole.
