Reseptionnists were serviceminded and friendly. Very good. Room filthy, unclean, curtains full of dust, The room was unclean the whole week, not vacuumcleaned or washed. Among other things, we found used cartridges from medicine under our beds the first day. The small tray for coffee and tea were not filled with coffeebags. Hotel Moderno was a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful & welcoming. The room itself was very nice & breakfast was included. I was traveling alone and it was in a very safe & convenient location & I could get to all of the sights very quickly & easily. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Barca!

This hotel realy smells bad. The room they initially gave me smelled sewage. I opened the window, but it wasn't openening to fresh air. I complained and they moved me to a new room next day. We went to Barcelona for a long weekend. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. They gave us tips of restaurants and sights to see. They gave us travelinstructions and helped us in every way they could. The breakfast was good. The hotel was located in a great place and the staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and we felt safe to be there. Only the noise was quite loud during the nights when the streets were cleaned and the party people came back form the clubs, earplugs recommended! Hotel Moderno is not really moderno, but its excellent location and very nice staff make it a good place to stay. Rooms are quite small and the air condition makes noise.

The hotel staff was extremely accomodating, the best we saw in all of Spain. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of everything in Barcelona. Do request not to be on the 3rd floor of the hotel as there is a very loud air system that is constant and kept us awake.

Wife & I spent 1-night here in late Oct 2011 prior to a cruise. The location is terrific! Less than a half block from La Rambla. Staff was extremely helpful with luggage and everything else we needed. Three computers available for free Internet use.

We had to check out after one night, because the hotel room smelled really disgusting. the manager was aware of the problem and had construction staff working on it very early in the morning. we did not sleep much. Also some of the bed covers were dirty. price and location were good, but we did not get much sleep. breakfast provided was ok.

Great location, right off La Rmbla (the most bustling street of Barcelona) and 5 min walk to Plaza Catalunya (where direct buses are to the airport) and with a Metro station closeby. The hotel is close to La Rambla and to pl. Catalunya so it is easy to get from/to airport (BCN) and very close to the Metro and to all the good things at la Rambla. I read it could be noisy, but I didn't experience that at all and I slept well. The beds were good and not to hard. Ganske udmærket hotel med en meget central beliggenhed. Morgenmaden var ganske udmærket,men de var ikke alt for flinke til at fylde mad op og der var ikke så meget plads i spiseområdet.Serviceniveauet her var heller ikke for god. Super beliggenhed, meget venligt personale, god rengøring og god morgenmad. Jeg havde bestil værelse med altan, fik et værelse med et "vindue" ud mod en lysskakt, stort set uden lys og med materet glas. Der er meget lydt på hotellet.

Hotellet ligger 10 meter från Las Ramblas och närhet till tunnelbana, resturanger mm är helt perfekt. Bra frukost och mycket trevlig personal som pratar Engelska.

Hotell Moderno ligger sentralt, men i en sidegate og det er stille. Meget god frokost. Hyggelig rom, men badet trenger en opp pussing

Simpelthen et fremragende, centralt og billigt hotel midt i dejlige Barcelona Centrum. Lige ved Ramblaen. Personalet var alle så imødekommende og behjælpelige med ens spørgsmål, tips og andet. Dejlige værelser - også selvom nogle havde vindue til skakt. I mit tilfælde var det var en fordel, da der så var mørkere i rummet. Et lille bitte minus var varme […] ventilationen i rummet som var lidt langsom. Så der kunne være lidt køligt. God og varieret morgenmand uanset hvilket tidspunkt mellem 7.30-10.30 man kom på. Der var nok hele tiden. Trådløs internet med høj og stabil hastighed på hele hotellet. Og mulighed for sikker opbevaring af bagage på afrejse dagen. Jeg har boet på mange hoteller i hele Europa og dette har bestemt været blandt de bedste. Man følte sig hjemme og velkommen. Bra hotell,fin beliggenhet ved La Rambla.Metro like ved. Rent og fint hotell,bra frokost.

Det var värt de extra pengarna mot ett hostel. Trevlig och lättförstådd personal. Riktigt bra säng. Badrummet var hyffsat fräsch, varmvatten ur duschen så fort kranen öppnades och varmvattnet räckte hela duschen. Minikylskåp var ett litet plus, höll vattenflaskan kall. Frukosten var trevlig, bortsett från att det inte fanns någon form av grönsaker (paprika, […] gurka, tomat) så var det en bra buffé. Kallskuret, bacon, korv, flingor, bröd och dessertbröd fanns dock och var bra. Internettet från hotellets surfdatorer var förvånansvärt snabb, mycket smidigt att kolla vissa affärers öppettider eller kartor på hur man tar sig till ställen. ACn lät en del men det gjorde sitt jobb med att kyla ner rummet. Jag sov igenom fläktljudet iaf. Väggen mot korridoren var väldigt tunn, man hörde väldigt bra när folk kom och gick. Godt beliggende hotel midt i centrum af Ramlaen og lige ved det store markedstorv og den gamle bydel. morgenmad svinger en del -man skulle komme tidligt ellers kunne der mangle noget . Og deres WIFI net fungere ret dårligt i hastighed samt på 4 sal ( hvor vi boede ) virkede det slet ikke, de havde dog planer om at udbygge deres WIFI net . vi havde vindue […] til gaden, hvilket ikke alle havde. en hel del larm fra gaden må påregnes. hvilket er ok for os, da vi primært tager på storbyferie og altid midt i centrum. Meget hjælpsomt personale. Godt rummeligt værelse til 3 personer. Morgenmaden var - som sædvanligt sydpå - uinteressant. Beliggenheden kan ikke være mere central.

Ett mycket bra centralt hotell. Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Här får man väldigt bra tips på goda restauranger och hur man skall förflytta sig i Barcelona. Kan varmt rekomendera!

Vi hadde noen kjempedager fra man til fre iBarcelona.En dag hadde de glemt å rengjøre rommet. Det beklaget de veldig. But nothing (exept the wifi) makes you happy, its just so very average. 1 min from metrostation in La Rambla. Very sentral, very buzy.
