The hotel really needs work. The floors tiles need to be replaced. The phone in the room did not work. The service was very poor. I will not stay there again.

The staff was not very accomadating and we had breakfast at the coffee shop but the food was horrible as it was prepared much earlier and our order was prepared wrong, as we asked them to prepare it the young lady said they can not.

Very Quaint Hotel, with quality service. A fun and interesting place to stay. Not stuffy like the 5 star hotels, laid back and enjoyable. Staff very attentive and helpful, excellent English skills in an "free associated state" that prides itself on speaking spanish to americans.

Location is perfect, right in the town square. You can walk to many museums and restaurants. We stayed in a historic room and it was beautiful. We did not hear any construction sounds while in our room, though it was still in progress (March 2013). Did not try the pool, as it is tiny and extremely public, right in front of the restaurant. Our ONE night stay at Ramada Ponce (which has a pretty facade due to the historic front part of the hotel) was a huge dissapointment! When we checked in we learned that there was a newer tower beyond the historic front building, and it was not very well done...thin walls and windows, tiny room even with two beds. There were NO TOWELS in the bathroom […] so we called down for some and we were told that they had laundry issues and could bring us a few washcloths if needed. We were not happy with that response. Then called in the morning thinking that they would have fixed that problem and they still couldn't give us towels so we couldn't even shower before checking out. When we checked out I complained about that, and the construction noise starting at 7am, and the valet parkers that do not understand one word of english...The front desk offered no discount, still made me pay for parking and only said " sorry for the inconvenience". Needless to say we will not stay in a Ramada again. We'll stick with HI Express (they have been the best experience over and over for us, everywhere we go, as long as there is one close to our destination. Ponce is nice and plenty to see and do! Lovely old building - but most rooms are in modern concrete building behind it. Avoid room 201; noise air con machine next door goes on for a couple of minutes every ten enough to vibrate bedstead. The restaurant was easily the worst food of my week in PR, and the most expensive. Hotel was excellent however, the construction within the total that started at 7am made it impossible to relax. ThThey should have a notice/warning about renting during the construction. The rerestaurant was 5 stars.

Although they were building next door, it wasn't till after we awoke. However, the night service and Valet Parking....The valet parking sent us all the way to the front with all our bags for the elevator, when it was right behind the wall. I assume they didn't know it was there? Of course no assistance. No towels called and never supplied, had to go […] to desk myself again. The guys at the desk were good old pals not mucch interested in gettingus checked in our follow up. They did have one towel. Saving grace morning lady at teh desk helpful. The hotel is clean and very centrally located. They had parking which was a plus since we were there during Carnival. The only downfall is that the town seems to have been hit hard from the economy and there were very few places to eat.

We had stayed here two years ago and loved it. So this year, we decided we would spend one night while we traveled from Aguadilla to Patillas. We got to our hotel 25 min before check in time. We were told our room was not ready and to return at 3p. So we walked around for a bit and returned at 5 past 3. Our room was still not ready so we waited in the […] lobby until 3:30. The Ranada is expanding and doing construction right next door. The grinding of metal was incessant. We were not told about this ahead of time or when we checked in. We were on a 1st floor so the noise from the street was also quite loud. We had dinner at the hotel. The food was fine and the service was ok - the waitress never did bring my second drink and we had to go ask for our check as they forgot, they told us. We went to bed and were promptly woken up at 7am with the construction noise. I'm only glad we were only there the one night. There is a sign on the street announcing a grand opening 3/1. I would strongly recommend calling and checking the progress before booking. Also, ask for a room on an upper floor. That all said, the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is literally in the town square and you can walk for food or local shopping. Having parking is hugely helpful as finding parking in town involves meters. I do believe it is a $20 charge every time you park though so plan accordingly. It does seem to be the best hotel in the area. I just wish I had known about the construction. Подробнее

The room was beautiful, king size poster bed very comfortable, black and white tile floor very striking. Exceptional service. My only negative was the grouper entree on the dinner menu which was underdone and the sauce out of a can. Is really a hard review because the only issue I had was the fact that the internet connection wasn't working well during my stay and created lots of delays on my work emails reply. This hotel was beautiful! We got to stay in the front part of the building which was painted yellow and had beautiful black and white floor tiles and wooden shutters down the hallway, which opened up over the courtyard. The pool was TINY! We didn't use it, we were there to see the downtown. Everything you need to see in the square is within walking […] distance. We ate at the hotel restaurant, and while it was pricey it was very good. There is construction going on in the building next door, they are making a casino. However, it rained early in the morning and we weren't woken up by any construction noise. There is also a coffee shop downstairs. I would highly recommend the valet parking for $10 per night because then you don't have to find the extremely hard street parking and haul your luggage all over. Ponce, overall wasn't as touristy as other towns we'd been to, San Juan and Fajardo, so like in any big city keep an eye on your stuff. The architecture is beautiful, but it just seemed to us that beyond the square it seems like the recession hit this area pretty hard. We drove up to the Castillo Seralles, which was closed on Wednesday, so make sure to call them for tour times. This hotel was great, and I'd stay here again. Подробнее

I will start with the positives...the staff was very helpful and the older, original section of the hotel is very pretty. Now the cons...first of all the construction starts at 6:40 AM. The hotel bathrooms are vented and cannot be closed so they let all noise into the hotel room. Even down to the drunk people wandering the hallways screaming at all […] hours. Also, we stayed there over a weekend and someone had a large private party in the open courtyard which neighbors all the rooms. They blared music until 2AM...we got no warning from the staff about it.. The rooms are pretty standard, although lacking in extra blankets. And my parents' room was missing a chair and towels upon check in. The coffee shop in the hotel is nice and you can get all different types of lattes, cappuccinos etc... but be prepared to wait over 30 minutes for just a cup of coffee. Not remotely exaggerating... The hotel is located right in the center of Ponce. Parking is at the back, and has to be paid for separately, at about $10/day for unlimited in/out privileges. The valet timings were listed as being from about 10am-11pm; however, both days we wanted the car earlier than that, and the attendant was there to do that, so the timings may refer to visitors […] to the coffee shop or restaurant on-site. While no breakfast is provided, the Melao coffee shop is a good choice for that, and they open at 7am. There is a coffeemaker in the room. We had a Colonial room with a balcony overlooking the square. Great view, but it did add to the dust on the room floor. Also, the colored-glass panels above the room & balcony doors let in light at night from the common area and outside, which was too much light for me when trying to sleep. The room ceiling light was too dim for the space, making the bedside lamps necessary at all times. There is a safe provided in the room- ours was placed quite high above a bathroom cabinet (atleast 6 feet high), so anyone who is short won't be able to use it! Nice large bathroom and counter space, but no tub. The Colonial room decor itself is quite nice, both in the room and in the (common) living room-like areas. Подробнее

Construction was being done by the hotel to build a casino & are wall was adjacent to the construction area. We didn't learn this until we were awoken by a jack hammer at 7 am!!!!! Never again!!!!!

No mention was made, on Ramada's web site nor in hotels.com, of the new building construction going on the same property, nor of the fact that it begins at 7AM. The keylock malfunctioned twice. There were no face towels. The 'fitness center' had only one working treadmill and two other broken devices, and the outdoor pool was a 10x20 'pool' in the middle […] of the outdoor restaurant/bar table area. This was the worst of the three places we stayed at in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately it was at the end of the trip and left a bad taste, as you can imagine. Подробнее

The location if the hotel is great. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are at best 3 star. Because the hotel is at the most popular spot in the city, the street is noisy. Cars running by with loud music playing and people celebrating with fire crackers. Valet parking is $10 per night which I found to be quite convenience in Ponce as street […] parking spot is hard to come by. 2 things I don't like 1) the hotel is expending and having a construction zone next to it. 2) the room is small and kind of old. Unable to find on the GPS but is across El parque de bomba( the firehouse) in downtown Ponce. Beautiful hotel great location. And booked months before so got the room on sale. Room Very clean. Everyone helpfull. Will recommend to everyone.

Nice hotel overall but Its so sad to have such a friendly good staff in such a bad mantained hotel... I mean its not that big... Room Cleanliness needs to be a better focus and while Im wishful thinking more channels for the nice LCD TV... Restaurant food is good... A little pricier than regular but I guess normal for a "hotel" restaurant...

The Coffee Shop and Restaurant are amazing! Food was excellent, loved the coffee. Stayed on the 'new' area and was very comfortable. Only disavantage is for people with walking issues or wheelchairs, the only elevator is on the parking lot basement and far from the lobby, but nevertheless would recommend. Pool size small.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night and we were not impressed. The room is pretty small and the bathroom is not comfortable. The parking is $10 plus tax per night. All touristic places in town are walking distance!!! Nice night entertainment aorund the corner, during weekend starting Thursday. Great price! Leaving town to connect with mayor avenues to go to other places around town or other towns were really easy. I definitely recommend this hotel and will visit it again!

There is major construction making it impossible to sleep past 6:20 am. Horrible experience because of noise, plus they closed the pool at 6pm though it is one of the hottest spot in puerto rico. Not a breath of wind. Avoid at all costs through end of 2012.

The front desk staff was fantastically helpful. The coffee shop off the lobby crafts (leave some time) every cup specially roasted brew, and restaurant looked, food and faces, to be very tasty though we didn't dine there. We'd stay there again.

Right in the center of town across from "Parque de las Bombas". Lots of souvenier places and convenient for meals. Only downside for me was that most businesses in area closed very early so shopping availability cuts off very early.

Valet attendants were very accommodating, parking available for $10.00 a day. Its a pretty nice place to stay but the only problem we had was that some of the locals bums walked into hotel and asked us for money . i did not like this felt unsafe. But hotel was really nice for the price. if u want a fancy hotel stay somewhere else this hotel is basic but nice......
