Enjoyed our stay at Ardmore House, clean, comfortable. They have a top notch Italian restaurant on the premises which we really liked. Location was convenient, plenty of parking. I would stay here again.

In spite of the snow and freezing wind, the Hotel was warm, welcoming and very comfortable. It's more like a big, friendly B&B - a lovely old house with lots of character. Our room was small but perfectly adequate and had all the facilities we needed, although the shower was a bit feeble. As the weather was foul we decided to eat in at the restaurant, […] and that proved to be an excellent decision. The dining room is a large conservatory-style addition and beautifully appointed. The staff were very efficient and cheerful and the Italian style menu, with optional set meal was imaginative and varied. Although the room was quite full the service was good and the food beautifully cooked, as was the full English breakfast the following morning. The hotel has a large car park and is only about 10 minutes walk from the town centre, so is very conveniently situated. All-in-all a very pleasant stay, and we will certainly use the hotel again. We were visiting family and stayed for 4 nights. Wednesday and Thursday nights were fine, but on Friday and Saturday nights the music from a wedding and a birthday party was quite loud - and these parties will go until midnight. We stayed at the Ardmore House Hotel for our visit to the Harry Potter studio. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was ideal for our family stay. The room was large, warm (early January) and clean; the breakfast was lovely. I would definitely recommend it and would use it to access London.

Nice place, decent size room. Good restaurant, nice bar. Breakfast was a little too late for me (they only start at 7.15am during the week, and the day I left, it was a Sat, they only opened at 8.30am). But I had booked without breakfast anyway.

The twin room we had was quite small as was the ensuite. The Internet connection was weak and kept cutting out. It would have been helpful if breakfast times had been till 9.30am we missed breakfast . The staff were helpful and location good.

Ideally situated for visiting family, and within easy reach of the city centre and trains to London. Relaxed and friendly staff, and a good breakfast. We were in the cottage at the rear of the hotel. The room was charming, but oh so hot, as we were there the temperatures topped 30.

The hotel was as expected. Plenty of parking. Very flexible as we arrived after midnight. I missed the breakfast deadline of 9.00am but they still made me a toasted bacon sandwich a little after 10.00am. Certainly value for money. Very friendly.

The room I booked was a single, and whilst the room was exactly that, it was a little bit small. The room was clean, well stocked with tea/coffee and the staff were friendly. On the down side, some of the dividing walls between rooms were paper-thin, so you got to hear what TV channel they were watching without any effort. Good, no fuss hotel in excellent location. Really nice breakfast. Parking on site. Would stay again. Room 12 quite small but bed was comfortable. Tiny bathroom but functional. No problems at all.

I stayed at the hotel for four nights. The hotel was clean and presentable, even if the decor was a little tired. The room was clean and comfortable, with full digital TV and all the amenities you would expect. My only complaint about the room would be that it was far too hot and necessitated the window being open all night with the sounds of a train […] line keeping me awake. I've now stayed here a few times on business. The single rooms aren't very large but are clean and comfortable. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The lounge downstairs is a nice place to relax.

Stayed here for a week on business. Room wasn't huge but it was comfortable, even on a hot summer day. I didn't eat here so no comment on the food. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was good.

A tired looking hotel with frilly 70's decor. Drab, dull, offering, nothing but the minimum. Not particularly welcoming. Room was slightly depressing with cheap bed and furniture. Everything was clean and functional. OK for a bed for the night. Breakfast was ok. Not a place I would recommend or go back to.

We we given a very small, yet clean and comfortable room. The hotel is located a few blocks from the city centre, in a nice residential neighborhood. The hotel was a short walk from the train station but was about a 20-minute walk to the downtown area. Enkel adkomst fra togstasjonen til hotellet. Kort vei til St.Alban. Små rom ,hyggelig betjening. Hotellet er ikke gunstig for de som har problemer med trapper .

Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt bei diesem Hotel leider nicht. Zwar ist es dort sehr sauber, und das Personal ist freundlich. Jedoch ist der Komfort äußerst bescheiden. Zimmer sehr spartanisch, Technik veraltet, z.B. lose Elektrokabel vor dem Fenster, Steckdose im Bad für Rasierer funktionierte nicht. Auch das Frühstück war eher mäßig. Rooms extremly small, and bathroom even smaller. Had aprox 11 degrees in my room for one night cause they didnt have additional heaters, The next night they had organized a heater for me so it turned up to normal temperature. Staff in the restaurant was grumpy and to friendly.
