All in all, a very good experience in this old hotel. As we arrived very early, our room wasn't ready, as we expected. But as they had a no show for a... larger room, they offered it to us for a measly 3 euros a night more. This was the largest room we had seen so far in old European hotels. We were thrilled. As with all the others in old quarters we visited, the street was noisy, the result of sound bouncing off the wall off buildings across narrow streets. It comes with the territory. Keeping the window closed solves the issue for the night. The owner was accommodating for providing the makings of a gluten-free breakfast, no small feat in a country where breakfast is essentially bread, cold cuts, cheese and jams.
