Due to flight delays, i missed a connecting flight and had to find a room at the last minute. With limited availability in the surrounding area, i was glad to find an opening at this hotel. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the hot water in the bathroom sink was brown when I first turned it on, it became mostly clear […] after running it for a few minutes. All of the toiletries were made in China. In addition, the air conditioner did not cool well. While I was there I saw the pool which was so small it had a maximum capacity of 8. It was better than sleeping at the airport and given a choice I would not stay at this hotel in the future. Подробнее

Large clean room in a very small hotel. Bathroom is small and old, lobby is small and old. Desk clerk was not seen after initial check-in.

Noisy. You could hear the door slam every time someone in the upstairs room above us left or entered their room. Could also hear every step they made. It was a very clean place to stay and the staff at check in and out were very friendly. However, it is way overpriced for what you get.

My husband has been in a Houston Texas medical hospital twice in the last 2 months. Each stay was approx 5 days. It's much too far from our home to drive in each day. We found the Lexington Hotel in the medical center and booked a room for me for the entire stay. The room itself was OK, but the BIG plus was the courtesy of the staff and their willingness […] to take me to and from the hospital as many times a day as I needed. Tony and his wife usually man the front desk and Tony and several others were always ready to take me to the hospital or to the grocery store, or anywhere else in the area. I chose to stay at the Lexington again when my husband went back in for another surgery and was shown the same courtesy and concern as before. I will say that the rooms are a bit under par. The lighting is dim and HOT water is alot slow. the beds are adequate. But the room is made each day and again.....the staff is great. Подробнее

It was just OK. Conveneint to Texas Medical Center. Parking was strange across the street thorugh gates. Made me feel the neighborhood was not very safe. Strange lay-out of rooms and lobby. Comfortable efficiency lodging.Would look elsewhere the next time I visit Houston.

The stay before surgery was good for me. My husband stayed at hotel during my surgery and hospital stay. A very nice place with great location by TMC. Not much else nearby, and must use their helpful shuttle service. The bed was very good, and having a kitchen was a plus. Exercise room needs help - like a code lock -- not a key from the front desk, and working bicycles, and maybe a TV or radio. Overall, though, a solid hotel, worth staying at.

The hotel is very convenient to the medical community. I very much appreciated the courtesy that the hotel provides by driving guest to medical facilities. The hotel is clean and the room was large, but best of all was the kitchenette in the room. It allowed me to cook the things I like to eat.

The main reason I chose this hotel was the closeness to the Houston Medical Center, and the fact that they provided shuttle service. My son and I were in Houston for his surgery. Rooms were clean and home-like, and the service was exceptionally friendly and very helpful in meeting our needs. The hotel van was very efficient in transporting us to our destinations. A definite revisit the next time we have to stay in Houston.

The hotel was nice. Close to Rice. Only a few floors which was nice for my aging parents who do not like to stay in hotels with several floors. (Even though they use the elevator. Did not like that the only real parking was across the street.

The only shortcoming of the Lexington was the poor continental breakfast with its meager selection of items available, the unattractive breakfast room aesthetics which were more like a storage closet than a place to sit, relax and enjoy ones meal; the chaotic layout of the food items and the dreadful maintenance of the food items. It was close to The medical center. The staff was very helpful and plesant. The bed was the best I have slept in! The only thing I didn't care for was the Continental breakfast.

Only one member of the staff was nice and helpful. Picked us up numerous times from the hotel and hospital which was awesome. When we arrived the night before the on-call employee was rude and cold. I will never stay here ever again.

When I arrived there I found a very nice lady at the front desk for that checked me in. The room was nice clean and confortable. The bathroom was very very clean and they changed towels all days. I had to go in many places in the Med Center in those days and I always had an efficent hotel service that gave me a ride, moreover all the time I finished […] my stuff I just called the hotel and they came immediately to pick me up (all these sevices were free) the last day I was there I had a conference in the med center and I asked them to do the checkout later, by 1pm and they simply told me no problem at all, they did not charged anything for this. The only thing they can do better is the self service breakfast that was too essetial. Anyway if you have to come to the med center, this is a great hotel and is definetely cheaper compared to others. Подробнее

Great spot, rooms are very small but no stress if you are out and about all day. 2 slow elevators can be a bit frustrating, use the stairs.

It was very convenient getting back and forth to the hospital by the hotel shuttle. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They were painting the lobby so that was a little inconvenient but very understandable since it has to be done sometime!!

I stayed at the Lexington for 3 weeks when I had surgery at MD Anderson Medical Center. The staff was absolutely WONDERFUL. The lobby is small but the room we stayed in had lots of space and a full kitchen. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and if we needed anything else, the staff made sure we got it. There was a large amount of space […] for clothing in the closet as well as the dresser drawers. It was very comfortable for myself and my friend that went along as a caretaker. The picture on expedia looked better than the actual hotel. I felt uneasy staying in the hotel. The lobby smelled really bad everyday and i refused to eat breakfast there because of the smell. The decor was very dated and it looked like it hasn't been updated in years. However I liked the room size.

The hotel was very conveniently located to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital and Luby's cafeteria for meals. Complimentary breakfast was barely OK. Room and TV was very nice except for one thing. The bed had a three inch mattress enhancer filled with non-absorbent rubber foam that was covered with a thin plastic covering and finally 50% polyester sheets. […] All three were non-absorbent and was like sleeping on cellophane wrap. PJs soaking wet by morning. For second evening I pushed all these off and slept fine on just the mattress. I would pay extra for all cotton sheets and pillow case on top of just a conventional mattress and pad. The hotel staff were very courteous and assisted with transportation to medical center venues. This is a converted two story exterior walk up where the exterior entrances are now enclosed, leaving a situation where many of the rooms have only one window, which opens onto the hotel hallway. Dark and unkempt. Courteous van driver to Texas Medical Center, however.

For the price, I thought it was a good deal. Rooms are very large. I kind of thought the neighborhood was a little sketchy, but I felt safe. It's off the beaten path. The location of the hotel was really nice and close to the medical center, but there was several flaws to the place. Once we checked in to the room we noticed there was food left in the fridge from the previous people staying there. Also there was quite a long list of TV channels to pick from, however we were only limited to 6 channels. (ABC, CBS, NBC, […] FOX, QVC, and Disney). So if your a midnight shopper or traveling with small kids it wouldn't be a problem. The beds were very comfortable, however as a previous review stated, the top feather mattress cover is wrapped in a weird plastic material so tossing and turning sounds as if your sleeping on a toddler mattress and the feathers would keep comming out of the mattress and poke your legs all night long. There also was a burnt iron imprint on the carpet inside our room. The bathrooms are really outdated and the dishes left for you to use are cheap plastic 1960s plates and bowls. Breakfast consisted of some Little Debbie honeybuns, 3 kinds of cereal, pretzels, few bananas and apples and some juice. I opted for a bowl of cereal, and once I was back in the room I found out that the milk they had left for everyone to use had soured and tasted more like buttermilk. I informed the office tenant and was told that he would check it, but after standing next to the machine for several minutes he never came over to check. If you are going to be staying for one night or maybe two, its not all that bad. Just bring your own stuff to make for breakfast in your own room. Also, I would recommend getting a room on the second or third floor. The room that I was staying in was on the bottom floor and I could hear loud talking, doors slamming, and anyone that walked on the floor above us up until 2am. The bathroom shower also made an awful deep growl when you turned the hot water on. Подробнее
