funky hotel, modern decor but maybe not one to take your grandmother to. corridors were very dark and suggestive photos might offend. Chic, trendy, spotlessly clean, 5 minutes walk from Brussels-Midi International train station - ideal for the business traveller. Only issue was the lack of staff on a quite evening - having to wait or search out the bar man was not expected. But the quality of the hotel - if you like "designer" styles - is outstanding.

Arrived by train on time at Midi station. Information did not know where the hotel was so we were on our own. Took us a jour to find the Hotel but truly only a 5 min walk form the train station. Cannot give 5 for this experience as it was not really the hotel for me and my teenage son on a one-night stop on the way home from a tour of Europe. Great location close to Zuid/Midi. Perfect for first Eurostar train to London. Located in a mostly residential area. I stayed in a room on first floor and as such was a little noisy. This noise was from the road bricks outside which had some apart so every vehicle going over them made a noise. There was also a summer funfair nearby which wasn't as loud […] as expected (good windows). One slight design flaw with the bathroom was the gap between the sink unit and the bath. The gap was large enough to drop things down and not get them back. My razor blades popped out as I was drying the shaver and went down there. This hotel is family owned and our experience went beyond our expectations. We took a taxi from the airport with a small delay due to the tunnels being closed. Arrived before check-in time but the expert staff stored our luggage and found us a room within 20 minutes. The rooms are VERY large even for US standards and spotless. We had a programmable […] safe and small stocked fridge. Free wifi worked excellently, but you'll need a special converter for electronic devices. Our friendly staff let us borrow one for my IPad. Major attractions were in walking distance: Mannekin Pis and the Grand Palace. we visited the Midi (south) train station everyday. It's just like a mall with places to eat. Walking back to the hotel may seem scary to some because the people hanging on the streets, some drinking and everyone is smoking in Europe! As other reviewers have said, it's a great hotel, but the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Brussels, is a very divided city between rich/touristy areas and poor/lower class neighborhoods. The hotel is literally right next to the train station, which was awesome as I arrived by train. Fyi, taxis won't take you to the hotel, but the hotel does have a […] car that will pick you up if you come by train. It's just as easy to walk if you have a map. As it is right next to the train, the neighborhood isn't the best. I didn't have any problems other than getting some looks and a couple of people on the main streets asking for money. I didn't feel unsafe, but I also returned every night before it gor dark and kept my iPod in my pocket. I walked everywhere around that area, so again, no real problems, as far as I could tell. The hotel itself is great, especially for the price. My room had a little patio with a table and chair and the rooms looked new and were very clean and the bed was great. The hotel itself is great. Excellent staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a very hip feel to the place. The location leaves a little to be desired. It's very close to the train station and it's a short walk to a tram station but it's not the nicest neighborhood. That's why I only gave it a 3 overall.

We loved the hotel and their team. I recommend the use of their navette to pick you up from your Eurostar or Thallys arrival as the area is not great. 2nd time I have stayed here - the decor is curious enough to provide stories when you get back to the office! - and it feels special staying there - not like any other hotel.. I stayed at the Be Manos hotel over 3 nights for my birthday, and was surprised to find such a gem of a hotel. From check-in to checkout, I honestly have to say that I had a mostly great experience. I say "mostly" great because there were a few things I thought they really could improve on. First, the pros: -Complimentary pick up and drop off to the […] Eurostar/Midi Station; -Huge, very spacious rooms, especially for European standards; -Room was very clean, bed was extra comfy, and bathroom (also huge) felt like my own private spa; -Great friendly service (some exceptions; I explore this in cons); -Within easy reach of most major attractions; -Close (like 10 minutes walking distance) to Midi/Eurostar Station; -Great complimentary breakfast buffet with a selection of hot and cold items to choose from; -Free WiFi. The cons: -Although most staff were amazing, there were one or two who really make you feel as if they're only being nice to you because you're a paying guest (and thus paying their wages). They tried so hard to hide it that it made it all the more obvious; -The location in places is a bit on the shady side of town, if you turn down the wrong streets. Lots of rundown/boarded up buildings, shady characters, etc. As a man, I didn't feel unsafe walking about at night on my own, but I was definitely on my guard. It's definitely worth springing for a cab if you're coming back very late at night, instead of walking, just to be safe; -There was no complimentary water, which for a five star hotel should really be an added. The minibar water, at 4 euros a pop, was quite expensive; -The hotel restaurant was ridiculously expensive for the limited selection on offer. The room service menu wasn't much more helpful. Sometimes, after a late night out, you just want a burger and chips, not some dressed-up, over priced "canape du boeuf and frites" crap. All in all, I would stay here again. This is a new hotel with excellent rooms and helpful staff. Very clean and upbeat decor. I am happy I decided to stay here. Would go back in a heartbeat. Although not at the centre of the city, it's easy and fairly quick to get anywhere.

I stayed at Be Manos with a friend to celebrate my birthday. The offer of an onsite masseur was one of the reasons we chose the hotel, however on requesting the service was told the masseur was on holiday. We had requested a twin room, though as both beds were pushed together it may as well have been a queen size. There was also a big picture of a naked […] woman above the bed/s which was not exactly ideal. The biggest issue I had with the room was that the bathroom had a glass door, offering no privacy whatsoever when showering. Given that I had booked a twin room I thought privacy might have been taken in to account. Other than that, the facilities were excellent, the restaurant was superb and the staff always polite and attentive. If you can look past the slightly over the top decorative touches, it is a lovely hotel. The location is very convenient to the Eurostar terminal, however the surrounding area wasn't very salubrious. Das Hotel ist etwa 20 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Die Gegend um den nahen Bahnhof Midi ist nicht die Schönste und besonders nachts würde ich als Alleinreisende ungern den Weg zum Hotel machen. Die Straßen direkt um das Hotel etwas heruntergekommen. Das Hotel versucht modern und boutique zu sein. Keine Kette - hier arbeiten die Menschen gerne. Ein Hotel mit sehr viel Charme und tollen Ideen. Bestes Bett ever! Wenn es woanders gelegen wäre, wäre es mein Favorit. Ärgerlich: Ich habe um 50% mehr gezahlt (8 Tage vor Anreise) als es am Tag der Anreise gekostet hätte.
