Расположен отеля превосходно для того, чтобы передвигаться пешком в центре города Рейкьявик! Прекрасно. Но возможно слишком близко у центру, потому что иногда ночью молодые люди собираются на улице перед отелем в первом часу ночи и шумят, что разбудет вас, если ваш номер выходит эту улицу.

Расположен примерно в центре на симпатичной площади на стороне порта, Туристическая лавка информации, супермаркет и пекарня по соседству, хорошие рестораны все очень близко. Отель прекрасно расположен, приемлимая цена, комфорт и чистота. Однако, всю неделю от Рождества и до Нового года на стройке правительственного здания было настолько громко и шумно, что мы каждый день утром просыпались в 8:00. Стук был оглушителеный. На своем опыте убедился в проявлении внимания услужливыми, вежливыми людьми, работающими в отеле и ничто не было слишком большой проблемой. Все просьбы о помощи выполнялись всегда с улыбкой. It's a nice hotel in an excellent location. The only problem I had was that the lighting was very poor in my room. I told them that on my way out and they said that they wold fix it. The personnel at the front desk were very helpful.

This hotel is extremely central in Reykjavik. It's a notch up from a hostel, but still very simple. The front desk staff were extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and generous with their time and perspective. Breakfast was straightforward but tasty.

probably the most central hotel in raykjavik. clean modern and comfortable rooms and the staff very friendly and helpful. We didnt have any problems but we did witness a guest complaining about their room and they were moved without any fuss. Would recommend this as the best central place to stay.

I love the location of this hotel. Just right there in the hearst of Iceland. The staffs are real nice, helpful and friendly. I would stay there again in the future and recommend to friends and future traveler. Plus I opened the curtain one night and saw the Northen Light right there outside my window....

I was there for two nights and all was perfect. It is a great location and the people at the desk was great .The breakfast was 5-star. The people working the area was right on top of cleaning tables and at all times there was plenty of food

Our room was as expected - perfectly fine and comfortable but no frills. The rooms were clean and made up everyday, and the front desk staff was helpful. The free breakfast that was included was much nicer than we expected, which was a nice surprise, and the location cannot be beat. We could hear everything that our neighbors were doing, especially the family that was staying above us, who apparently travelled with their lead-soled shoes for walking around their room. Very excellent family hotel in the very heart of the Old City, with lots of restaurants, shops, and historic sights -- even the docks and the tour boats -- easily within walking distance. Service and attitude was superb, and (the inlcuded) breakfast was way more and better than expected.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great hotel in a great location!!!

GOOD: The room was clean and modern. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. BAD: Constant drilling into the wall from 10am to 7pm. It was horrible to be in the room during the day. And if you needed a nap, you'd be better off sleeping in the street.

I highly recommend this hotel for a variety of reasons. The location is superb, central to everything in walking distance. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Arrived at the hotel and checked in without issue. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel bar offered an excellent happy hour special for a drink before heading out to any of the good, relatively for Iceland, restaurants in the area. During our trip to Iceland we stayed at both the Center Hotel Arnarhvoll and Center Hotel Plaza in Reykjavik, within a couple days of each other, so I'm in a good position to compare the two. If I had to choose between them, I'm not sure which I would prefer because the pluses and minuses I observed basically cancel each other out. Overall, they were […] both a good deal and provided everything we needed. As other reviewers have indicated, these hotels are in the center of all the action, which is great if you want to explore Reykjavik on foot. We had a room with a view of the harbor at Arnahvoll, which was much nicer than our view of the side of a building at the Plaza, but otherwise the rooms were very similar. Small, but sufficient. The bathrooms are quite tiny with showers that are barely separated from the toilet, so this may be a bit uncomfortable for American tourists accustomed to full bathrooms with closing shower doors and/or bathtubs. No big loss unless you plan to spend a lot of time in the shower. The bathroom was somewhat bigger at the Plaza, but I'm sure that varies room to room in both locations. The breakfast at the Plaza was superior to the breakfast at Arnahvoll, and for me this was the most notable difference. Both hotels are very conveniently located, although Arnahvoll has more adjacent parking available so that's a plus if you will have a car. One thing to mention regarding the construction going on: when we arrived and checked in, it was about 8 a.m. (after our flight from the U.S.) so we were happy to have a room ready for us right away so we could take a nap and freshen up before going out to explore the city. Unfortunately, there was very loud drilling/hammering going on upstairs from us that likely would have been unbearable for anyone who does not live on a noisy street in New York City, as we do. Restaurants, cafes, bars, city attractions, museums, everything is so close to the hotel that you don't need to spend money in transportation, plus all tour companies pick you up at hotel going to other places in Iceland. This is one of the best locations ever. Internet and breakfast included in rate was a plus!

This is very good and convenient hotel. We had great view on the city. Stuff was knowledgable and helpful. Close to everything. Rooms are smaller than what we expect in USA, but it is normal for Iceland.

We did get a good service, helpfull staff. There was some water damage at our bathroom but otherwise pretty tidy, cousy hotel. Nice location, but if you are sensitive sleeper you should take into account people can party outside the hotel. Did not bother us though...

Clean and convenient hotel. The front desk fellow at check-in was a little sour, but the rest of the staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast a good mix of cereals, sandwiches with all the trimmings, bacon/sausage/eggs and fruits. Tourist information in building next door!!! Shuttle to and from Keflavik airport will stop at hotel, […] upon request. I suggest arranging pick up with front desk a day in advance, as the shuttle we took was full. There's also a shuttle to the bus station and the blue lagoon from the hotel. Two grocery stores only meters from the Plaza square. Would stay there again. I was surprised how few people were in Reykjavik during our stay (last weekend of May 2010). We walked around town monday morning from 9-12, and the streets were totally still. I had to ask someone if it was a holiday, and they told me the streets are mostly full friday and saturday nights. Most of the shops seems catered towards tourists, and within downtown there are not too many sights. We found that to truly enjoy iceland, the day trips to...anywhere else is highly recommended. If you don't enjoy the barren lava like landscape, waterfalls etc in pictures, you'll probably find Iceland fairly boring compared to other european cities. The Blue Lagoon is beautiful, and definitely worth a trip. They rent out bathing suits, towels and robes, and theres restaurants as well as a "pool" side bar. Hotel Plaza is conveniently located at the center of the city and right next to the Tourist Information center. These 2 things itself make the hotel an excellent choice. Plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and a grocery within a minute walk. The room I was in was very comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. I was woken up 2 mornings by construction going […] on in one of the rooms below me. One day the consruction lasted an entire day. It was annoying but at the same time a typical tourist would not spend all day in the room and probably wouldn't notice the disruption. The TV only had 4 working channels so you could at least get the news. There was no clock in the room so bring a watch. I arranged one morning for a wake-up call but my telephone ring must have been turned way down so I never heard it and the next morning I arranged for a wake up call but it came an hour earlier than I requested. The breakfast at the hotel is typical European fare: cereal, fruit, meats and cheese, coffee, juice, etc. I thought the hotel was a good deal for the money and was overall happy with my stay other than a few minor issues. It's a bit hard to find because it's in the "old town" BUT that meant once we got there we left the car and walked around, really enjoyed the neighborhood on foot. The new construction rooms are very nice (we were initially put in the older section but they were more than willing to move us when we asked). Hotel placed us in the newer more modern room . It was warm, open, clean and very comfortable. Our last night we had to book last moment and had to stay in the older room, and they were not nearly as nice. The bathrooms were pretty outdated and the room looked a bit dark. European sized room (small), but good enough. Hotel is clean, breakfast was good. Best part is the location - very close to great restaurants, the waterfront, and next door to the tourist office.
