We booked Uvala instead of the more expensive Hotel Ariston and Neptune. We are really glad we did. The Uvala was a very nice well priced hotel in a nice location. You need to get bus #4 from the Old town (stop right outside the hotel), otherwise it would be a 30+ min walk, but only 10-15 mins on the bus - which run very regularly. There are some touristy […] restaurants about 10 min walk from the hotel, but for best options of eating, check out trip advisor or lonely planet recommendations. We had a massage and the 'spa' was very good and reasonably priced for a hotel. The staff were extremely helpful. The only downside was that because we were there in the changeover of the season, the hotel was in the process of switching the main air-con from heating mode to cooling. It was a bit hot in our room overnight and the air-con didn't help. I think we were just unlucky as the week before it was cold and the week after, they probably had the cooling operational. We stayed in Uvala for three nights from 31/03 to 2/04/2012. The staffs are just wonderful. Give us all the necessary informations when asked. The included breakfast use quality ingredient and everything is tasty. Our room is spacious and clean. We paid extra for the sea view room and it's well worth the money. The hotel was good, staff were friendly & room was good. However I was only having a short stay and it was a good trek (about 30 mintues, walking quickly) to get into the centre of Dubrovnik. For this reason, I'd recommend choosing a hotel closer to the centre.

Lovely helpful staff, great location away from the hussle bussle, good transport links. Highly recommmended

Hotel Uvala is very comfortable. Its wellness center is great and its swimmingpool as well. Breakfast buffet has a variety of fresh products of high quality and the location although it is pretty far from the city center is very well comunicated through bus 4 which stops just at the hotel main entrance and has a beatiful view of the bay.

Good location for Lapad, good outlook and makes you expect more from to room design but this is not the fact.. however, you pay there for the location, cleanness.. but dont expect much from the breakfast as well

Best features are: stunning views, amazing breakfast, very friendly staff and very convenient hotel size makes all amenities widely available. Location is great since you can take it easy outside the city with beach access and pool without crowds during weekends and the city is just a short ride away. In a nice area of Dubrovnik, would have been an excellent position to see the sun set, but we arrived in one of the worst storms in 60years! The restaraunt/Bar was quite brightly lit, and packed due to no one wanting to leave the hotel in the weather, so service was quite slow at first. Room was a good size with a nice balcony. we made use of the onsite […] spa the next day. We had booked massages at 10am and were told we can use the facilities for an hour before or after, however, the spa, sauna and steam room were luke warm due to only been turned on when we arrived. Just amaizing!!!!!We went in hotel Uvala for a weekend in end of may 2010,and is absolutley NOTING to complain about!we got jacuzzy,swiming pool,breacfest includet-breacf was fantastic!Aur fly was bit late in the evning,so we left the room a 12h and they left us to stay in the hotel longer and to use the facilitice till we left completley!!!Smiling […] people,beutefull location,fantastic food!!!!Just cool!!!!I recomendet to evryone!!!! We have stayed in many 4 Star hotels around the world but we were a little disappointed with this one, the room was adequate but smaller than expected no tea/coffee facilities either. The one big disappointment with the hotel was breakfast (which was included in our deal) it was awful cold precooked scrambled eggs or pre hard boiled eggs if any left. […] The only thing they could provide was a good contiental breakfast so don't pay extra. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Restaurant/Frühstück bietet alles. alles top, nur das Indoorpoolwasser war zu kalt. Bademantel muss man verlangen, falls nicht am Zimmer. Neu, sauber, freundlich, also sehr empfehlenswert!

Ystävä'llinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Huone oli hieman pienempi kuin kuvat antavat ymmärtää. Myös parivuode puuttui, vaikka se oli varauksessa. hotelli oli siisti ja runsas monipuolinen aamiainen. Hotelli sijaitsee aivan tien vieressä, joten jonkinverran liikenteen melua saattaa kuulua.

Hotellet har meget hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personale! Vi hadde en ukes opphold med frokost. Jeg har behov for glutefri mat og det ble øyeblikkelig bestilt brød da jeg spurte etter det og det kom ubedt fram hver morgen når jeg kom ned i spisesalen. Hotellet har flott beliggenhet iforhold til strand og restauranter og fine rom. Selv om vi hadde bestilt […] mot "skogen" trivdes vi godt med det- stille og rolig på den siden. L'hôtel est très facile à trouver et son personnel est très serviable. Tout est propre mais les chambres sont un peu petites et sombres. Les deux piscine sont agréables. Le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct.

Fint hotell med nydelig plassering, en trapp utenfor hotellet går rett ned til det krystallklare vannet. Man kan velge strand, klipper eller steinplatå å bade fra og det ligger koselige cafeer og restauranter ved vannet. Frokosten var fin med helt greit utvalg. Buss fra hotellet til gamelbyen tok ti minutter og det er ganske billig med taxi også.

Nytt og komfortabelt hotell med fin beliggenhet. Hyggelig betjening. Bra frokost. Kan absolutt anbefales. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Hotellet är nytt och fräscht och ligger på en lugn plats nära stranden. Bussen till gamla stan stannar utanför dörren, så man tar sig lätt till och från gamla Dubrovnic. Frukost och kvällsbuffé är storslagna och varierade samt mycket goda. Såväl utomhuspool som innepool var helt rena och mycket tilltalande. Personalen är mycket vänliga, hjälpsamma […] och serviceminded. Vi drabbades av en bruten handled med sjukhusbesök som följd.
