Очень хороший отель для тех, кто путешествует на машине. Персонал вежливый, отзывчивый. Завтраки хорошие. Не очень, правда, понравилось кофе... Но это - на любителя. Если я поеду в Неаполь, то, думаю, остановлюсь тут же.

Recently we returned from the island Ischia where we stayed at the Grifo Hotel. We liked it a lot because it has many strong points: it is not big and therefore the staff is not numerous. But each and every (no matter a waiter or a manager) know how to provide a good service. For a example, on the second day the waiters know what you prefer to drink during the breakfast - water, tea or cappuccino. But we should give his due to the Grifo's owner - Alberto, because such a client oriented direction is specified by him - it is very important for him that the guests feel homey at Grifo. Though it is his work but he does it sincerely and with warmth. There was no a request which the staff could but did not satisfy. The hotel's atmosphere does not suppose loud night parties, vice versa it is a place for a quiet family rest. But it doesn't mean that there is no social life in the hotel - one evening Alberto invited a local musician who performed Italian and world's hits very beautifully. The hotel is situated on the hill and we were confused a little bit initially. But don't be afraid - almost all the time the guys from reception are ready to give you a lift to the seaside. Moreover, we appreciate the hotel's location because it's situated in the distance from the main noisy seaside road, where many other hotels are situated. So, if you like simple but perfect interior style, if you seek for silence and peace and finally if good service means much for you - the Hotel Grifo is a good choice.

This small town is wonderfully located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Typical products from Sorrento are produced with these Limoni: Limoncello, a very tasty lemon liqueur, lemon chocolate, colorful ceramic articles with lemon motives, or lemon soap. На пути к отелю приходится идти в гору, однако питание было превосходным. Непременно порекомендовал бы как полное питание (завтрак, обед, ужин), так и полупансион (завтрак, ужин).
"Какой прекрасный отель!"
Я провел целый день в поисках отеля в Сорренто для нас с женой + другой пары для нашего 4-дневного отдыха в июле. После прочтения добрых отзывов об этом отеле мы решили рискнуть и выбрали Grand Hotel Capodimonte. Прекрасный выбор! Помимо того, что заказ через Hotels.com обошелся на 20% дешевле, сам отель оказался превосходным, и мы ВСЕ дружно пообещали […] вернуться вновь. Расположение. Отель находится в идеальном месте, в ~300 м от центра города, на вершине холма, с которого открывается живописный вид на залив и порт, на сам г. Неаполь и даже Везувий. Каждую ночь мы без труда пешком добирались до города и всех достопр-тей, и отель находился на идеальном расстоянии от всего шума города, чтобы ночью в номерах было тихо. Идеально. Персонал. Админ-ры за стойкой были великолепны: помогали нам при любой возможности и прекрасно владели английским. Все сотрудники сообразительные и опрятные; несколько раз они даже посмеялись с нами вместе - приятно видеть чувство юмора у персонала "элитного" отеля. Часть персонала в ресторане владели англ. похуже, но нас поняли. Номер. У нас был самый простой номер (№715), т.к. мы не собирались много времени проводить внутри. Оказалось тесновато (нам пришлось класть сумки в гардероб), но номер был очень чистым и со всем необходимым. Там был ЖК телевизор с хорошим сигналом (редкость!), милая ванная со встроенным феном, тихий кондиционер, балкон с великолепным видом и электр. ставнями, благодаря которым утром в номер не проникал ни один луч света. Пешком можно было дойти до бассейна и бара/ресторана. В номере также был сейф и целых 20 хороших вешалок! Deluxe.. В целом, нам очень понравились номер и обслуживание. Отель. Одно слово - ПРЕВОСХОДНЫЙ. Мы были удивлены, что класс отеля лишь 4* - настолько он нам понравился. 5 бассейнов, расположенных каскадом, множество лежаков, везде мрамор, великолепная стойка рег-ции, много места на стоянке и т.д. Отель прекрасно расположен в нескольких минутах ходьбы от главной площади Сорренто. Мы прибыли в аэропорт г. Неаполь, сели на автобус прямо рядом с главным залом прилета, доехали до вокзала Сорренто - оттуда до отеля можно дойти пешком, но я бы рекомендовала сесть на такси. Прибыли в отель; персонал замечательно владел английским; мы заселились, и […] нас провели в номер. Номер нас немного разочаровали: прямо напротив балкона была 4-метровая бетонная стена, из-за которой в комнату целый день не проникал солнечный свет. Я бы непременно рекомендовала перед прибытияем связаться с отелем и заказать номер с видом на "типовую средиземноморскую растительность". Номер оказался просторным, с большим количеством пространства для хранения вещей, только за сейф нужно было платить каждый день. В остальном, сам отель и персонал понравились, пейзажи, открывающиеся с территории бассейна, красивые; сам отель удобно расположен прямо на окраине главной части Сорренто. Подробнее
"Замечательно место для отдыха у бассейнов"
Замечательный отель. Находится в нескольких минутах ходьбы от города и всей атмосферы г. Сорренто. Номер был просторный, однако кафель на полу начал изнашиваться. Чудесные бассейны и пространство вокруг с пейзажами залива. Единственный недостаток - бассейн закрывается в 6 вечера, но до 6 вечера можно пользоваться бассейном, сколько угодно. Также, бассейны […] работают без подогрева - не проблема в хорошую погоду; "водоворот" тоже не подогревается. Было бы замечательно, если бы в отеле были спа с подогревом и сауна. Подробнее
"Отпуск на юге Италии"
В прошлом месяце мы с женой путешествовали по южной Италии и остановились в отеле Grand Hotel Capodimonte на 3 дня. Расположение отеля было великолепным: приятные 10 минут ходьбы до центра города Сорренто. Мы жили в улучшенном номере и нам понравились все удобства. Номер никоим образом не огромный, но вид из окна был красивый. Кровать была жестковата, […] но мы не жаловались. Качество завтрака было выше среднего, меню включало яичницу, мясо, сыр и хлеб. Единственным минусом отеля оказался персонал за стойкой. Если Вы любите теплое, услужливое отношение со стороны персонала отеля, то тут Вы будете разочарованы. У нас было ощущение, что мы являемся обузой для перснала с каждым нашим вопросом. Может это просто другая культура, но сотрудники отеля показались мне заносчивыми. Это обстоятельство, тем не менее, не повлияло наши общие впечатления об отеле, и мы бы порекомендовали нашим друзьям остановиться там. Подробнее

"Lovely Hotel"
We couldn't have asked for a better hotel for our stay in Sorrento. Very clean, very helpful staff, nice food and lots of character! The pool layout is perfect to give peace and quiet despite being a large hotel. There are quite a few steps to get around, but it seems like that's a norm for Sorrento. Based on our stay I would definitely reccomend!

BREATH TAKING VIEWS, EXTREMELY CLEAN HOTEL, AND WITHING WALKING DISTANCE TO CENTER. HOTEL RESTAURANT NOT THE BEST, BEST TO GO OUT AND EAT LIKE THE LOCALS. "Hotel Capodimonte"
a lovely hotel with greta views across to Naples. Ideal for Pompei and Vesuvios and close to many many restuarants. Swimming pools excellent and breakfast very good. Would stay again
All aspects of Hotel Capodimonte were excellent and our stay was very very enjoyable. Excursions to the main attractions in the region (Capri, Vesuvius, Pompeii etc) were easily arranged at the front desk and not overpriced and, of course, the weather was wonderful. A first class holiday destination at a first class hotel.

Fabulous hotel very convenient location five minutes walk to Sorrento town and shops. We stayed for 7 nights and had a large comfortable room and great bathroom with plenty of hot water and fresh towels. We had great views of Naples Bay and Vesuvius from our patio doors which opened out to one of the many terraces. Breakfast was amazing freshly cooked […] eggs rashers/ sausages everykind of pastry and bread fresh fruit and yogurts really nice cheese and ham and salami. We paid top price for a premier room with a balcony and outstanding views over Sorrento Bay and the Bay of Naples and we are pleased that we paid the extra as there are many rooms with a rear view. Rooms were beautifully decorated and they all had tile floors both in the room and the bath fixtures. Ceilings were high making the room seem much bigger than it really was. Inconvenient location - definite tourist hotel in the worst sense of the word. Every attribute had an additional charge (charged for coffee at breakfast, charged for use of in-room safe). The hotel is not relaxing, and it feels like a constant battle with the staff, the location, the "rules" of the hotel. The hotel appears to be well-situated for travel, […] however it is located on an extremely busy street (traffic noise audible from all rooms). There is no water access (even if from a map you appear to be close to water, be warned - you are a good 20 minute walk away from the port and/or beaches). There is no neighborhood feel - you could be in any country on the planet, so there is nothing to distinguish this as Italy. OVERPRICED for the area - overpriced for Italy. Swimming pool was nice (four-tier cascading pool) but is not heated. The facilities were fine - large hotel with lots of room. This is a decent hotel in a good area, but the hotel is a bit tired and the service is average. Not what I expect in a 4 Star Hotel. This hotel is very expensive for the services/quality offered.

This hotel is nicely located in Sorrento, with a magnificent view of Pompeii from the terraces. The common areas are very attractive, but the beds are thin and hard; pillows like rocks and linens rough. The staff at the front desk was insufferably arrogant the night we stayed there. We arrived at 10 pm, due to travel delays and were given the "last […] room" in the hotel, which was like a sauna. They had" no other rooms" when questioned on the phone from our assigned room, but when we made a trip back to the front desk, they "suddenly" located one. The desk clerk was clearly annoyed that we would make such a request. We have had good hotels.com experiences to this point, as well as consistenely good Italy hotel experiences. This was not one of them. There are many lovely hotels on the Amalfi coast to choose from. We would not return to this one. "Beautiful location with a few problems"
This is a very large hotel. Much larger than I anticipated. The staff, for the most part, are helpful. The front desk staff more so than the resturant staff. In the resturant I requested that my expresso be hotter. I was told it was as hot as they could make it and it got cold because I was putting milk in it. This was the last stay of a 3 week tour […] of Europe and I didn't run into this problem other places. Maybe they should consider providing warm milk. My main disappointment in this hotel was that our room, even though looked liked the pictures on the web site, did not get any sun on the patio and had a musty smell. I think the smell was due to the fact that everytime you left the room, the air conditioner shut off until you returned and put your key in the slot. Maybe the other rooms, that have sun exposure, don't smell as bad. The location was perfect. A short walk to the center of Sorrento. The pool area was very nice and the view is amazing. This hotel provides service in a friendly and informative manner. Most employees speak good english as a large part of the clientele is from the UK. Its only a few minutes walk into town down a short gentle slope and you are at many of the restaurants and most of the shopping which is open until 11 pm. At least in aug when we were there. "Grand Hotel Capodimonte = PERFECT!"
This hotel was absolutely perfect for my husband and I on our honeymoon. We were exhausted from a week long cruise where we had been on a regimented schedule visiting many ports. Once we got to Sorrento, all we wanted to do was relax and this hotel was PERFECT! The multi-layered pool was gorgeous with an amazing view. It was wonderful to lounge by the […] pool, reading and drinking a Peroni or two. At night, we were so close to town we could take a 5 minute walk to many different restaurants and shops. During the days that we were feeling ambitious, we took day trips to Capri and Positano that the hotel efficiently coordinated for us. The only negative thing that we might mention is that the "king" bed was actully two twin beds, side-by-side that were not ideal for a couple on their honeymoon. Beautiful hotel built into the side of a cliff overlooking Sorrento. Pleasant 10 min walk to town center. Hotel has stunning multi-level pools with gorgeous views of the coastline. The restaurants, bars and many terraces all have this amazing view. Our room was very large, clean, quiet and beautifully decorated.

Just returned from a 10-day stay at the Capodimonte. Decided to spend slightly more than we usually would as we'd heard good things about the hotel. Great location, 10 minute stroll from the centre of Sorrento, set on the cliff-side giving magnificent views over the town, bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Stayed on b&b basis, breakfast selection was impressive. […] Didn't eat dinner at the hotel restaurant as we preferred to go into town, choice looked good though. The pool area is amazing, though drinks at the pool bar slightly overpriced. All staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was one of the cheaper ones but still of a decent size and though not having a panoramic view, could still see Vesuvius. With windows open the road noise is quite loud but when shut couldn't hear a thing. Minibar ok, no kettle and surprised about the charge for using the room safe but apart from that we were very pleased with it. After debating whether to go for a cheaper room in the centre, we're definitely glad we decided to spend a little more and would return to the Capodimonte when we come back to Sorrento. Подробнее

This hotel is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! It was our favorite on our recent trip to Italy. I reccomend it 100%!
"Pricey but great views"
We had a room with a fabulous view of the town and the bay from our balcony. Cost a bunch but my husband is "a view person". Good breakfast. The desk staff did not give out information easily, such as how to catch a bus, nor were they willing to get their internet terminal going or find an airline phone number. Maybe that is the Italian way.

Nos sorprendió que nos cobraran 3 euros por día la caja de seguridad, cuando no hubo ningún aviso y en los otros hoteles (hemos contratado 13 mediante vuestro servicio) no lo hicieron.

Stort og dejligt hotel, lækker placering med herlig udsigt, service kun lige ok. Receptionen kunne godt være mere servicemindede end tilfældet. Lækker pool områdemed mange terasser med udsigt over området. Ved spisning kan det godt blive for meget "fabrik" idet der var rigtig mange gæster. Hotellet er indbydende og ligger i rigtig skønne omgivelser. Værelserne er herlige og med god komfort. Poolområdet er fantastisk - meget bedre end det kan gengives på billeder. Alt i alt er det virkelig value for money.
