Мы с сыном жили в этом отеле 3 дня. На второй день не работал кондиционер. Я обратилась к персоналу за стойкой, и мне пообещали кого-нибудь прислать. Затем мне сказали, что кондиционер теперь работает. Я попросила администратора зайти в мой номер и убедиться, что там по-прежнему жарко, с чем он согласился. Нам пришлось спать с открытыми окнами, поэтому […] в номере было шумно и мы не выспались. На следующий день пришел технический работник, вытер пыль с фильтра кондиционера и провозгласил, что теперь все работает. В 23:15 я обратилась к другому клерку за стойкой, и он подтвердил, что в моем номере ужасно жарко. Когда мы выселялись, клерк сказал мне, что вся причина была в сломанном конденсаторе на крыше. Мы завтракали в отеле три раза, из которых с нас не взяли деньги только за два в качестве компенации за отвратительные условия пребывания. У владельца этого отеля еще 5-6 таких же в окрестностях, и я бы не рекомендовала никому останавливаться ни в одном из них. Подробнее

Останавливались в июле 2011. Очень приятный небольшой отель. Чистый, эксцентричный, удобный. Хорошее расположение. Озеро, главные торговые точки для туристов - все находится в разумных пределах. Никакой роскоши, все по-швейцарски скромно, поэтому, если ищете нечто по-европейски шикарное, этот отель не для Вас. Персонал дружелюбный; завтрак хороший. […] Ресторан - разрекламированное место для туристических груп в поисках "аутентичного швейцасркого ужина" - с фондю и музыкальными группами из двух человек, которые по традиции исполняют аккордеонные мелодии и играют на валторнах, похожих на инструменты из рекламы каплей от кашля Ricola. Вокруг - большие и маленькие плюшевые игрушки в форме сенбернаров (как и сказал, все скромно). Если собираетесь останавливаться в этом отеле - бронируйте номер заранее, потому что туристические группы могут занять все места. Это место также гораздо дешевле, чем другие отели в городе. Если Вам нравятся вещи в стиле 60-ых (как мне) - это место определенно для Вас. Для нечта "по-европейски шикарного" - отправляйтесь в East/West отель-ресторан, находящийся на расстоянии нескольких кварталов. Меню там сказочное, а атмосфера диаметрально противополжная той, что Вы встретите в Edelweiss. Нам понравилась эта своего рода "инь-ян" комбинация двух мест. Подробнее

Если Вам нравятся альпийские пейзажи, то этот отель для Вас. Обязательно ужинайте в отеле, так как вечерняя атмосфера там просто неописуемая! Цены довольно высокие, но это типично для Женевы.

Милый отель. Подойдет для 1-2 дней в Женеве. Персонал был ОЧЕНЬ отзывчив и дружелюбен. Смешно, что завтрак не включен в стоимость. Все остальное все же на приемлемом уровне. Ужин в ресторане определенно не разочарует - даже несмотря на низкосортные музыкальные представления.

Очень приятные впечатления об отеле; персонал оказывал огромную помощь; в ресторане прекрасная атмосфера как утром, так и вечером. Все развлечения тоже на высшем уровне. Отель находится близко к озеру, деловому району и ж/д вокзалу.

Все превосходно - обслуживание, чистые номера, окрестности.

Хорошее расположение: близко к прибрежной части города, где находятся элитные отели. Идеальная альтернатива для путешественников со скромным бюджетом.

This hotel is *beautiful*, and it would be hard to find a better location from which to explore Geneva. The city is small, so it's possible to walk almost everywhere, but the main public transportation hub is only a few blocks away. The hotel restaurant is an experience unto itself with excellent food and service and unbeatable Swiss entertainment. […] If you're considering staying here, I doubt you'll be disappointed. The ONLY problem - we requested a non-smoking room. When we arrived, we had been upgraded (nice) except that it was to a smoking room. We still had a great trip, the room was not unbearably bad. The hotel indicates that they can't guarantee special requests such as smoking preferences, but non-smoking is more than a preference for many American travelers; it's a requirement. I thought the hotel was well located. Just a short walk from the main train station. Many things previously stated are correct, small elevator, small shower, modern bathroom, sometimes the cooler works sometimes not. Nice comfortable room in the heart of switzerland, we arrive a day after Easter and this hotel provides more than the usual amenities for guests. They provide guests with geneva transport card, map and discount voucher for dining. And amongst those, they even gave us two chocolate bunny for easter which is a plus. My wife and I reserved the Hotel Edelweiss after reading some others' evaluations of the place and it lived up to our expectations. It's located within walking distance of the main train station and even closer to the lake and many interesting, but highly priced restaurants. For any price hotel - let alone the insane amount you pay here - the service was poor. The front desk was unfriendly and the host at the restaurant acted like he was the bouncer at the 'swankiest' night club in Manhattan, very dismissive and rude, like he was doing you a favor by merely acknowledging your presence. Its is the perfect place to stay for few days in Geneva. Excellent value for money. Don't be put off by its country style, after all you are in Switzerland so enjoy it!! Have stayed before and will stay again and again.

We stayed one night as a layover before a vacation in Chamonix. The hotel was conveniently located. Nice walk to the lake and to ferry ride to Old Town. The bathrooms were very impressive. We had 3 rooms and all the bathrooms were modern, clean and very well appointed. I would recommend for convenice and bathrooms.

Less than 10 mins walk from train station, 1 block from bus stop. 5 mins walk to water front for boat ride. 10 mins walk across bridge to Old Town shopping area. Restaurant on ground floor is kitchy but fun. Everyone just goof with the Swiss performers, entertaining ambience for some Swiss fondue. Very quiet street for a good night rest. Hotel Edelweiss made my trip to Geneva in December magical! The hotel was beautiful (a Swiss Alpine Chalet - and very comfortable. The staff are to be commended - polite, helpful. The location was fantastic - a short distance from all the major sites.

the hotel was super cute and fun and the restaurant there while not cheap was very good. The staff at the hotel was also great. I have a feeling I would have liked their bathroom better but this hotel was super fun for being in switzerland. One other small thing there was no conditioner in the bathroom but they did have it at the front desk. Friendly knowledgeable staff, clean rooms, convenient for walking and public transport. Cute stuffed St. Bernards everywhere. Fireplace in lobby.

As a mid priced hotel the Eidelweiss was satisfactory. The staff tried to be helpful, but knew next to nothing about Geneva.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The Swiss Alps themed decor was really cute and quaint. My room was VERY comfortable, way better than I expected based on my experience with typical European austerity. A good 3 star hotel with quaint decor. Helpful and friendly staff Was given a free travel pass that saved us 40chf on a taxi to the airport by going on the number 12 bus Be prepared for an expensive stay in Geneva generally !!!

M y husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it, The location is close to the train and bus stations and verey close to the lake. Our room was small but clean and the bathroom was very modern. The staff was helpful and friendly. hotel great good location great staff. bad smell in the lobby but the rooms were fine. didnt eat in the hotel but lots to do in the area. it is in the red light district but really it is a very nice red light district. near the lake which is great walking distance to the train station which is one stop from the airport!

Only stayed for one night. Good location, nice clean room, convenient from/to airport (took a cab - about 35 chf).

I would definitely stay here again. The Hotel Edelweiss has a charming Swiss chalet atmosphere, with a Swiss restaurant conveniently located downstairs. The room was large and very comfortable. Cute little place. My room was next to the elevator so it was a bit noisy. The bathroom was clean. The room was the biggest on I stayed in for the price I payed. Good overall.

The hotel is close to the lake and overall very nicely located. It is walkable from the train station, but it is a good 10-15 mins walk; instead you can also take bus (no 1?) to get right to it. On the way from the train station to the hotel, there is a small redlight district, though I don't think it is that dangerous.
