Метро рядом,торговый центр тоже,завтраки хорошие,номера большие, убирают хорошо,но интернет плохо в номере ловит и все таки далеко от центра находится,прям спальный район.

Отель расположен в самом центре Мадрида в пешей доступности от всех основных достопримечательностей. Находится на тихой площади. Если повезет и вам достанется номер с видом на площадь, в вашем распоряжении будет небольшой балкон. Окна остальных номеров выходят в глухой двор - колодец, куда почти не проникает дневной свет. Номера маленькие, но в целом уютные. Единственное что смущает это стеклянная перегородка между комнатой и туалетом. В номере есть все необходимое. В целом не плохой отель для не очень притязательных путешественников.
Местоположение.
Отель Hotel De Las Letras располагается в сердце города Мадрид, в пределах пешей доступности от отеля Королевская академия изящных искусств Сан-Фернандо и Пуэрто-дель-Соль. Также неподалеку Plaza Mayor и Музей Прадо.
Особенности отеля.

"Приятный современный хорошо расположенный отель"
Нам понравился этот современный стильный отель. Фойе ремонтировалось, поэтому нам приходилось зависать на террасе на крыше, но с другой стороны это было здорово. Прекрасное расположение рядом с достопримечательностями, метро и даже «Старбаксом». Хороший wi-fi.

Хорошо расположен ко всем 10 лучшим достопримечательностям. Можно дойти пешком до художественных музеев Прадо и Тиссена. Чуть больше квартала до метро Gran Via. 4 квартала до ворот Пуэрта-дель-Соль. 10 минут пешком до Plaza Cibelles, где останавливается автобус до аэропорта. Отличный отель в отличном месте. Очень чистый, спокойный и стильный. Кровать на мой взгляд была немного мягковата, и отель находился на ремонте. В библиотеке не было книг, а спортзал и спа не работали.

Это один из самых приятных отелей, в которых я когда-либо останавливался. Все было очень чистым и симпатичным. Наш балкон выходил на улицу. Я был крайне доволен отелем. Потолки в номере были действительно высокие, а цветовая гамма поразительная.
Просторный номер с хорошим бельем и удобствами. Чистая ванная с неплохими туалетными принадлежностями. Отличное меню на завтрак. Очень любезный персонал и своевременное обслуживание.

Персонал отеля очень компетентный, приветливый, добрый и готовый уделить нужное время, чтобы помочь англоговорящим гостям. Walking distance to most of Madrid's main attractions. Friendly staff. Lounge on main floor is a great spot for relaxing and people watching while having some drinks. Room was modern, spacious and very comfortable. Would book this hotel again without question.

Our 4th time in Madrid and booked this hotel to be a little closer to the attractions, restaurants and night life. PERFECT location GREAT staff and TERRIFIC room. "Nice hotel in center of Madrid"
The hotel is in the heart of Madrid which is very convenient. It is an old building which is renovated but the old stile is preserved and the mix of old and modern style is quite cool. The roof top palace is very nice to hang out and have a drink before going out. When we arrived our room had smoky smell so we had to change room. Very modern re-decarted rooms, high ceilings and spacious, in an old building. Excellent location for site seeing close to old town Madrid, Mercado de San Miguel, Plaza Espana, etc. The out door terrace bar on the roof was delightful and is a must if you go. We took the metro from the airport to one block away from the hotel (40 minutes and three changes) […] and the yellow Ali bus from two blocks away back to Barajas airport -- the bus was easier and we got to see more of Madrid. Beautiful old details (doors, iron decoration) in the common areas, combined with crisp, spacious modern rooms and friendly service made this a great place to stay in central Madrid. The rooftop terrace bar was a great place to have a drink and relax. Highly recommended.

"Great hotel and nice location"
The only con (if you can call it a con) is that the hotel was a little older and you might notice it here and there. BUT, it is not a big deal, because there are so many great things about De Las Letras H&R. Great location – it is literally in the city center and walking distance to nearly everything. There are at least 2 metro stops within two blocks. […] We walked everywhere and had no problems seeing all the sights. The only time we took a metro was to visit the business district. The hotel was clean and our room was very interesting. I really liked it, and it was the largest room of the three hotels we stayed in during our visit to Spain. Oh, and having a balcony was really nice too. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Check-in and checkout was easy. The price was great and the restaurant was excellent too. Usually I don’t spend time in the hotel bar or restaurant, but I did stop in this one a couple of times. Mixed drinks are pricey, but wine and sushi (yes, sushi) were priced moderately. "Great place to stay"
Reception staff are the best. They are knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant despite how busy they are. We liked our room and the convenient bathroom. The only suggestion would be that more light be available in the room as needed.

"The noise, noise, noise, noise"
On the face of it Las Letras is a great deal. The hotel is in a superb location, has excellent fast internet, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is also very professional. However, both the road noise and the extremely noisy restaurant below make it a hard place to get a good nights sleep.

We stayed at this hotel five years ago and decided to return because of the location and the very friendly staff. We were not disappointed. It is very noisy if you stay on the Grand Via side, so ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. We would stay again, if ever in Madrid.
Started out well and got better: early check-in to a spacious, stylish room with a specatcular balcony view of the Gran Via (Madrid's Broadway). The location afforded easy walking access to all of the city's sights, and the front desk was quite helpful when called upon. The room was large and very clean, with high ceilings. It was equipped with a safe, […] and a small flat-screen TV (3 english-language news channels provided a welcome connection home). The free wifi worked well throughout my stay. Large bathroom with giant towels, a full-size tub and generous water pressure was another welcome touch. Housekeeping actually made room in the minibar fridge to accommodate my healthy diet purchases. If you don't enjoy the sounds of the city like I do, the busy street below might not appeal, althought It was suitably quiet at night. The view overshadowed the busy daytime soundtrack by a mile . The location of this hotel is excellent. The room was good, but we were facing the main street and there was noise. But really not that bad, and you are just steps away from good restaurants and bars. The front desk staff was very helpful, and they spoke English.

The hotel is undergoing renovations to the exterior and was very hard to find despite being in such a central location - it was partly covered in scaffolding and bore no resemblance to the picture shown on the internet. We were looking for it with a native 'madrilena' friend and ended up abandoning the car and searching on foot - very frustrating! The […] location (once we eventually found it!!) was very central for walking to all the main tourist sights. The room was ok - not over large but adequate for a couple of nights. A minor annoyance - the lack of decent central lighting meant that you had to have the bathroom door open to use the light from there if you wished to do anything other than read in bed.
