Stayed with young family, enjoyed the pool, breakfast and comfortable room. To far to walk with kids to DC attractions, able to catch bus/taxi with no problems.

We took a short trip to see the nation's capital! I was with my adult son and my 5 year old grandson. The people there were very helpful at all times. This hotel is in a great location for Verizon Center events and the staff couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. The only flaw is that when the hotel is full there are not enough elevators. We, and many guests, gave up and just used the stairs during out four day stay. That isn't so bad when you are on a lower floor, but it can be a killer when you […] are on an upper floor! Stayed here before the Rock and Roll Marathon 2013. It's within walking distance to the capitol mall, and the hotel staff was kind enough to hold onto our bags in the morning until we got back from the race, since checkout time was before our return. Hotel was awesome, but there is a lot of construction going on in the neighborhood so things can get a little noisy/hectic at times. Overall, I will happily return to this hotel!

breakfast was ok. it had a large selection and they changed it up the two days we stayed. my only complaint was the mandatory valet parking that cost $34 plus $6 tax each night. the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. the whirl pool was nice but the pool didnt feel heated.

Room was adequate, bathroom had an initial smell, but it subsided after the first flush. Pillows could have been a little more comfortable. Standard size pillows on a king size bed. Overall the stay was okay.

Walked here from Union Station and then walked to the Mall and other tourist sights and museums. Friendly staff on the front desk and a great breakfast. A very competent hotel.

Convient to get around. Close to several great eateries. One block from metro station. Great expierence, staff was great. included breakfast was always well maintained with plenty of selections. I would stay there again if I were going to Washington.

The only thing is the Expedia says free parking, but I have to pay 34 $ per day for parking. Also this include the valet parking of course because there's no a place to park in the Hotel.

Trip was for business purposes so didn't have a lot of time to explore the surrounds or tourist attractions. Less than a 5 minute taxi ride from Union Station and a 5 minute walk to China Town and the Verizon Centre. Lovely hot apple cider and freshly baked cookies were welcoming on a cold winter's afternoon. Breakfast was basic - cook your own waffles, […] some fresh fruit and fruit salad, yogurts and selection of pastries and danishes. Even though I didn't try it, the grab n go breakfast bags looked OK. Free wifi was also a bonus and a business centre provided for any small printing needs. Overall a decent hotel. Tip for catching taxis in DC - 1) if you want to pay by credit card, you need to ask for a cab that has this facility. 2) ensure the car is marked as a taxi (meter installed) otherwise you will need to negotiate the fare or be prepared to get ripped off. Convenient to DC mall, and Chinatown for dinner, and easy trip by cab, subway, or walk to Union train Stn. Awesome breakfast, loved the all day and night coffee bar, afternoon cookies, and apples available for snack. They accomodated our large group nicely by putting us altogether on one floor.

The "pull out" couch wasn't level and was uncomfortable. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was great. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

As a first-timer to the DC area, the staff was extremely helpful in advising where to go, what to do and what to see. The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel more than met expectations. The location of the hotel, although isn't in the prettiest part of town, was convenient in terms of catching cabs and getting to other places around the city.

Please don't read into the negative reviews about this hotel. My girlfriend and I spent a week in December here and it was very nice. It is easy to get to and is right in the heart of Chinatown. One block down and one block over from great restaurants, shops, bars, the Verizon Center, and a Metro Station. The staff was more than helpful and very nice. […] It is in a safe neighborhood and we never felt uncomfortable walking back to the hotel after dark. For the price I believe it is really a great place to stay. Pay the parking fee. All hotels in DC charge a fee and this one is lower than most. $34 a day. You won't find a place to put your car 24 hours a day that is safe. Breakfast is good and there is always more than enough. Happy hour is good place to start as well. Hot tub was clean and felt good after a day of walking in DC. Rooms were big and clean. Great view of the Washington monument. A five minute walk to anything you want to do and a nice metro station. This hotel is in a good location within walking distance of the Verizon Center. The hotel is kept very clean. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, but we do have a couple of complaints. The first is the cost of parking. There is only valet parking available at the hotel. The hotel had a perfect location, close to everything! We had two rooms, one of them wasn't clean, we find some used ear cleaner stick, the toilet paper was almost empty etc... The breakfast was busy, the hot eggs was bad... the bell staff looked out from inside, and they tried to help us right after, when we finished unloading our car...

For the price, the hotel is highly recommended based on its location. Free breakfast is a huge plus and the staff were friendly. Walking distance to Chinatown and 7th Street where many restaurants are located. Walking distance to Verizon Center which we were not aware so please checkout the events before your visit. Just got back from 5 day family vacation in DC with my 3 little boys. Here's the lowdown. Pros: Very affordable, nice size room with 2 queen beds and large bathroom was well maintained and surprisingly quiet with the only sounds from the occasional people passing by in the hallway. Nice friendly staff all around. Pleasant lobby with complimentary coffee/tea/hot […] cocoa all day, free WSJ and USA Today. Typical Hampton Inn breakfast which was very convenient, plentiful, clean and was a great start to the day, especially when dragging around 3 young kids. Small pool but very enjoyable for the kids who also frequently dashed into the whirlpool to warm up. Surprisingly nice gym. Cons: We checked in late afternoon, and the staff of 2 at the front desk were overwhelmed between check ins/out and the phone. Stuff in their snack center were pretty expensive so I recommend picking up elsewhere if possible. However, when you must have chips, candy and ice cream late at night, it's there. Pool is small; often out of towels; couple days were over chlorinated to the point where it stung my eyes and nose and I had to leave. However, kids never noticed and continued to enjoy with their dad. Valet parking was pretty expensive $34/day but to be expected. Location: Definitely walkable to the mall - approx 15 min. My kids are little so we cabbed a lot. Lots of restaurants between hotel and the mall. Overall: Typical Hampton Inn. Attentive caring staff. Would definitely return. Подробнее
