Affinia Manhattan - Нью-Йорк

Холл очень милый, но коридорам и комнатам нужен срочный и серьезный ремонт: в некоторых местах отваливаются обои, сколотая плитка в ванной, не открывающиеся оконные рамы и т.д.

Гостиница очень чистая, прекрасное фойе, где можно собраться и поболтать. Ванные, конечно, крошечные, но я обязательно вернусь из-за удобства.

В Афинии есть крайне редкие номера с одной спальней и двумя ванными. В нашем номере еще был огромный шкаф и маленькая кухня. На самом деле, это был единственный удобный для нашей семьи отель, который я смогла найти. Сами комнаты и мебель были очень старыми, а кухня очень дешево отделана. На удивление кровати и ванные были вполне ничего. Надолго я бы […] здесь не остановилась, но номер с одной спальней прекрасно нам подходил, и было очень удобно идти до Пенсильванского вокзала (буквально через дорогу). До метро там тоже близко, так что уехать можно в любой конец города. Персонал порадовал. В отзывах я читала, что ванные на верхних этажах были отремонтированы, так что если это так, жить в гостинице станет намного приятнее. Берите с собой дезинфицирующие средства и беруши. Комнаты в ужасном состоянии для таких цен. Мы приехали в выходные и попросили номер с окнами, выходящими не на шумную улицу. Все было нормально до 9 утра понедельника, когда в номере наверху включили перфоратор. Когда мы на это пожаловались, нам сказали, что в верхнем номере делают косметический ремонт, […] а других свободных комнат нет. Во вторник это все началось аж в 7 утра! Я снова пошел жаловаться, и нас переселили на другой этаж. Новая комната была такой же потрепанной, но здесь был еще омерзительно грязный пульт от телевизора и дохлый таракан. Пульт я отчистил, но он все равно не пригодился, т.к. большую часть дня кабельное не работало. Если бы не удобное расположение, я бы поставил отелю 2 балла из 10. Подробнее

Отель отлично расположен, а номер был очень приятным. Было бы совсем замечательно, если бы еще был интернет (с каждым днем все важнее оставаться на связи даже во время путешествий)

После недолгого ожидания на ресепшене меня заселили в номер (в первой половине дня), а потом переселили в один из новых номеров классом выше, которые они хотели предложить попробовать гостям. Отличная поездка!

Нашел отличное предложение для этого отеля и, почитав отзывы на TripAdvisor, выбрал его для пятидневного путешествия. Красивое место по соседству с баром, кафе Старбакс, станцией метро Пенсильванский вокзал через дорогу и круглосуточным магазином в этом же квартале. Большущий номер по Нью-Йоркским стандартам, крошечная ванная с очень хорошим напором […] воды и увеличивающим зеркалом. В нашем номере была полноценная кухня: плита, холодильник, микроволновка, тарелки/чашки/кружки/столовые приборы. Оконный кондиционер. Везде виниловые обои. Гранитные полки в ванной. В фойе - бесплатные местные газеты и "USA Today". Комод с зеркалом и отдельный платяной шкаф. Хороший сигнал Wifi. На ресепшене есть компьютеры со свободным доступом, с которых можно распечатать посадочные талоны на самолет. Подробнее

Зная, насколько подорожали в Нью-Йорке гостиницы, я был просто счастлив, когда нашел номер по вполне доступной цене в таком прекрасном месте. Отель находится близко ко всему, и, если вы планируете задержаться на несколько дней и хотите сэкономить, то прямо за Аффинией есть гастроном, где можно купить бакалею, чтобы не питаться постоянно в кафе и ресторанах. […] В нашем номере была маленькая кухонька, где мы с женой каждое утро перед экскурсиями готовили завтрак. Теперь о недостатках: в комнатах может быть шумно, т.к. всю ночь хорошо слышно проезжающие машины и сирены полиции и скорой помощи. Помещения ухоженные, но не ожидайте роскоши. Гостиница прекрасно расположена. Просто исключительная близость к достопримечательностям (Пенсильванский вокзал, Мэдисон-сквер-гарден и метро/общественный транспорт). Само же здание гостиницы очень старое и очень нуждается в ремонте. Мне достался темный номер с неровным от потертостей полом. Ковер был старым и стертым, как и продавленные неудобные матрасы. […] Для Нью-Йорка моя комната была достаточно большой. Я останавливалась в Аффинии на две ночи с 5 на 7 мая. Я приехала в 9 утра и прошла пре-регистрацию. Мне обещали номер на 4 этаже. Я вернулась в 3 часа, чтобы зарегистрироваться, но мне сказали, что комната еще не готова. Я пришла снова в 15.20, и, конечно, она все еще была не готова. Я была просто в шоке, причем я была не единственной, кто ждал заселения. […] В результате после 50-минутного ожидания меня поселили в номер на 21 этаже. Менеджер очень извинялся и вручил нам ваучер на дополнительный завтрак. В целом комната была неплохой, кроме ванной, которая была очень маленькой: когда сидишь на унитазе, то зад и нога прижимаются к туалетной бумаге на стене. В ванне еле-еле хватает места на то, чтобы стоять, не упираясь в стены. Шум стоит просто невыносимый: постоянно слышно пожарные сирены, т.к. пожарная станция находится буквально в соседнем здании. Все это безумно раздражает. Лично мне очень понравилось расположение отеля, но я больше никогда здесь не остановлюсь и посоветую друзьям этого не делать. Подробнее

I stay here alot and the rooms are really big and beautiful for a great price. Only problem this time - couldn't get the heat turned down!!

Hotel was great, however wifi charges were excessive, at 15+ us$ per day.

Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location, minutes from Times Square, Empire state Building and even closer to Macy's and Madison Square Garden. This was our first trip to New York and will not be our last and will definitely stay in the Affinia Manhattan again. The staff were always available for advice and help where needed. We booked a Guest room with […] 2 beds and upon check-in were advised we were upgraded to a Studio Suite with 2 beds, the room was fantastic and was cleaned each day throughout our 5 night stay, cannot fault the hotel at all. An excellent hotel in a good location. Staff very helpful

Liked the Affinia staff. Very friendly and helpful. Shower tub was very slippery. Outside traffic was loud. Nice gym.

Affinia is an ideal place to stay if you are coming into Penn Station, or if you are going to an event at Madison Square Garden. It's convenient to both. My room was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was divinely comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. I've already recommended it to friends and plan on staying here again.

Clean room with comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast buffet, efficient reception, friendly staff, good restaurant. Opposite to subway station which is very convenient. Noisy aircon, bathroom rather small with shower in bath.

I booked a room at the Affinia solely because I had an early morning train to catch and the hotel is really close to Penn Station--literally right across the street. And I knew in doing so I would have to pay more than the typical New York City rates for this convenience which was fine with me. However, I feel like I could've stayed at a nicer place […] at a more remote area of the city. My chief complaint is that the hotel is also right next to a fire station, which isn't an advertised feature, but the sirens can seem like they're right in the room if you're unlucky enough to be on the same side of the building. Getting a good night's sleep was difficult. The room was nice and looked like it was fairly recently renovated. However, there was a white chair that was littered with some black flacks of something foreign and not intended that made it kind of difficult to get comfortable. I was going to the Springsteen concert at the Garden so the Affinia was a perfect location -- right across the street. The hotel is fine; the room is designed in the kinda/faux Philippe Starck style -- all the fittings were perfect. The bed was very comfortable and when I asked for the down pillows and comforter to be removed because of my allergies, […] they took care of it quickly. The only downside was that the room and the bathroom were tinytinytiny. That is typical of the updated NY hotel. Since I didn't spend a lot of time there, it really was ok. Подробнее

Staying in mid-town right by Madison Square Garden makes New York City completely accessible. This has the setting of the old stately New York Hotels. They have just completed renovation on the rooms and I have to say that I was not impressed. The baths are quite small and look like they were only slightly renovated, but they are not comfortable, the […] beds were excellent, the rooms have window air conditioning units which may drown out some of the noises of the city but obstruct your view of the city as well. The room had a kitchen in it which was poorly stocked and quite frankly a waste for a tourist. Unfortunately when you analyze the cost of the room, I didn't feel or see the luxury in the room. its central location makes it a great place to stay, close to many shops including macey's also near to times square and the empire state building within walking distance of many sights.

Despite the rennovations the hotel still needs more work. The hallways are atrocious. The bathroom needs an upgrade in the shower bath area and the floors. The carpeting in the hallways really a sour spot that brings down the quality of the hotel.

upon arrival we were informed that there was problems with the room we booked (one bedroom suite)- said that there was water damage to a number of the rooms. Told to accomodate our request we'd get a studio with an adjoining room. Why on earth would we need two bedrooms when we were a party of two? Then told that they'd try to get some adjustment from […] expedia in the price which doesn't make sense because we booked it through Hotel,com. Told that the problem started two days before our stay. We asked why we weren't notified because we live 20 miles away from the hotel (we were attending a concert at MSG). Finally they agreed to give us a similar room which they called an upgrade but it wasn't ready. finally got into the room at 5:20pm. Had to cancel our 5:30 dinner reservations. Room was great but if they had notified us we would have cancelled and came into the city---had dinner at our reserved restaurant---went to the concert and =drove home and saved a bundle. We have stayed at the Affinia numerous times and always were very happy but this borderlines on a scam. They didn't notify us to assure that they got the cash. Подробнее

I stay in NYC all of the time, and this room was by far the biggest I've ever had. There was even a kitchen! The hotel has been recently remodeled and it was great!

Very Good Hotel. Close to many must-see sights.

The room was not available when we checked in. When we arrived back from the Broadway Show we were seeing, the said they upgraded us to a deluxe suite with two bathrooms, however, once we went to the room there was only one bed for four people (room was missing a couch). I think it would be beneficial for the hotel to review the requests that were made […] on-line. We ended up with the correct room with a beautiful view of 7th Avenue and it was very nicely updated. The location was great, the room spotless and spacious, they gave me an upgrade. The staff was pleasant. They have a "pillow menu" which was fun. The only cloud on the horizon is that construction is going on next door and on the facade of the building. That means noise, starting at 7 on weekdays.

This hotel has a good location - good area of city. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous (front desk, concierge, house keeping, etc) Lovely lobby, pretty room and very clean. Would suggest asking for an Interior room to cut down on outside traffic noise at night. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

I stay at the Affinia once or twice a month when I visit NY. Usually I have a great experience as it's super close to my train at Penn Station and a pretty nice hotel, nice spacious rooms, etc. Unfortunately this past stay was terrible. There is construction going on outside that started at 7am. I'm a deep sleeper, but this was a loud pounding noise […] that was impossible to ignore. I recommend calling the hotel to find out if construction is through BEFORE making your booking. Подробнее

One could not control the temperature in the room and we would get too hot then cold. It took awhile to get the ice and we needed it right away.

Upon check in, we were upgraded to a one room suite. The room was incredible, and the staff was knowledgable, and very friendly. We could see Madison Square Garden from our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Absolutely great. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom small, but expected in New York City. Walking distance to Times Square, Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building. Safe...safe...safe. Parked my car and did't have one care. Could not ask for more.

Room was a good size, bathroom was super small which was crazy because the room had a huge kitchen and a closet that was easily three times the size of the bathroom. Decor was nice, hallways looked a tad dingy. For the convinence to MSG it's good, and the beds were comfy....it's a 50/50 split on how I feel about the place.

Room was quire small, but very efficient and tasteful. Room temp was very cold and uncontrollable, but was corrected promptly by engineering. Apparently the heat in hotel was off due to high temps outside. Ideal location for attending Garden events. Late night bar scene was fun. Bartender poured a generous single malt.

The Staff were courteous and efficient from the first minute. Accommodations were well above normal and the location could not be better. We needed to take a train to Boston and the Penn Station was across the road from the Hotel. Wheeled our bags across the street, no taxi necessary! Awesome stay! Will definitely return for another stay.

We stayed at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel for one night for our wedding anniversary. It is a wonderful hotel and a great spot in Manhattan - right across the street from Madison Square Garden and right near Macys! The room was huge for Manhattan standards. We wound up going for a little splurge because it was a special occasion and went for the junior […] suite. Well it was really nice. It even had a full kitchenette! The only problem we had was that the room was really warm. I had the thermostats turned off but the heat was still on. I contacted the front desk and they had maintenance come within 15 minutes and he was able to manually turn off the heat. I then asked him about the window air conditioner and he turned it on for us, even though it was the beginning of March! He was very helpful. Another thing this hotel needs is a little updating of the lobby / elevator area, but everything was super clean. Highly recommend! Подробнее

Our second visit to this hotel and it was even better this time around. Right across the street from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Our room was reconditioned and attractively furnished. Both times we had a small kitchenette with fridge which we loved. The icing on the cake was that they are a pet friendly hotel so we got to take our poodle […] to times square. He had a great time and was quite an attraction to the many tourists! Strongly recommend. Especially if you are attending an event at The Garden. Подробнее

Rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. Everything has modernized and the space flows nicely. GREAT beds - we had a good nights sleep> I would definitely recommend it - close to shopping, sites and transportation
