The rooms were very nice and modern there was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and gas fireplace. We had a view of the ocean. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were flat. The location was perfect right on the beach and located next to a pricey but delicious sea food restraunt.

Can't beat this place. Right on the water with a lively boardwalk along the Beach. Surfers and sun. Beautiful, fresh decor and lovely rooms with gas fireplace. I never made it to the fish place next door but I was told people stay at this hotel just to go to the restaurant. Do it.

The hotel was very nice; the room large and comfortable. Our only complaint is that breakfast is only served from 8:00-10:00 and there are only three tiny tables with two chairs at each in the very small lobby of the hotel.

I reserved a room at the Moonstone Landing hoping for a relaxing weekend with my best girlfriend--it was pricey but I heard it was a wonderful location and worth paying a premium. Unfortunately, it was the worst 2 nights' sleep I have ever had. The hotel (motel, really) is not on the sand, it's across a busy highway and the staff at Moonstone Landing […] were indifferent to our being unhappy and incredibly rude (even to their own housekeeping staff, in front of guests). We were given a downstairs room but it was unbearably hot and there was no a/c. I politely asked for a different room (nope) since leaving the sliding glass door open all night was not safe but calling on the front desk, asking for the management's help and even emailing them post-stay asking them to make things right fell on deaf ears accompanied by sour faces. They could not have cared less. The Moonstone Landing does NOT care about its guests, has no sense of hospitality and gives Cambria tourism a black eye. While it seems to have enough business (for now) to remain busy without putting forth any semblance of warmth toward its guests (other than horribly stuffy rooms), I am sure there are other establishments in and around Cambria who care very much about how visitors to their lovely town are treated. My weekend was ruined by the Moonstone Landing and I hope my review will help future travelers. Do yourself a favor: never, ever stay at Moonstone Landing! Подробнее

We stayed in the room with the partial view of the ocean. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Fireplace provided more than enough heat and the beach is right across the street. The place was very nice, but we did not stay there. I was told by my Hotel.com representative that the room had a balcony or patio and it did not! The windows didn't even open! Very disappointing!!! The lovely lady at the office called around and found us a room with a patio and let us out of the contract.

This is certainly one of the nicer options to stay in Cambria. The facility is very well maintained and staffed. The rooms are large and comfortable though the lower level rooms toward the back are more cave-like with their half below grade windows. This was a really nice room. Very spacious and nice fireplace, that we didn't use. Right across the street was the ocean and beach. There were stairs to get down to the beach. We took our breakfast over, and sat by ocean to eat it. Pretty cool!

What was a brilliant day driving down the Big Sur was ended perfectly sat in the hot tub of the Moonstone Landing eating our complimentary nibbles! The room was huge, very peaceful location, the beach was directly over the road, perfect for an early morning walk. All in all a lovely place to stay.

We had a great stay at this establishment. The front desk was very helpful and accomodating. The ocean was across the street and we were just off the main highway. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cambria.

We just thought it was a wonderful hotel. The fireplace in the room was a great addition even though we didn't use it it was nice to have and think of how neat it would be on a chilly night. The breakfast was simple but great and even better when you take it out to the beach to eat. Thank you so much for a great stay

We stayed here for one night in July whilst on a holiday driving up the Californian coast. The B&B is located directly opposite the pebble beach, which is stunning! The scenery was amazing and was also only a 25 minute drive from the elephant seal beach too. The B&B was lovely clean and we was upgraded to a large double queen size room, with partial […] ocean view. The room had coffee making facilities, electric log fire, dining table and the beds were very comfortable. There is also free parking. The owners provide a selection of games and DVDs for use and have a cheese hour in the evening and continental breakfast. Another plus point is the gorgeous Sea Chest Restaurant & Oyster bar right next door. Had a wonderful meal here. Would go back tomorrow and recommend! Подробнее

right on the beach so a nice walk to watch the seals and sea otters off the coast. Town is quite nice as well

Had never been to Cambria but will return. Trusted Hotels.com for information on hotels in area. Was not dissapointed.Was concerned when we walked through the open hallways to our room but was delighted when we opened the door (with a key not a card). Very nice room with fireplace. Nice rooms, many with ocean views. Our room had a fireplace, newer microwave & refrig, with nice table & chairs with two good size windows with view of the ocean. Very clean room, basic breakfast, but there is cheese, crackers, etc late afternoon. Great restaurant next door called the Sea Chest -- only open for dinner, seafood menu only with oyster […] bar, cash only--delicious food! We stayed for 2 nights, very clean room and hotel, nothing to complain about, we were on the second floor with a partial view of the ocean. The breakfast was delightful, nothing to fancy, but enough to please your morning hunger. Thank for those two nights, we will definitely go back.

Great location with friendly staff who were very helpful in sharing their beautiful locale. The morning breaksfast was a good way to sttart off the day. The afternoon cheese and crackers hit th spot after a day of sightseeing. Enjoyed the tour the the lighthouse close by. Don't forget to have lunch at Sebastin's Cafe in San Simeon. A real find!!!

We were received with great friendliness by Mary in charge of Reception even though we arrived at a very busy time for her because of a large group of guests getting ready to leave. Even though we had reserved a downstairs , partial ocean-view room, she was kind enough to give us other options at the same price and invited us to check them out and then […] decide.Our downstairs room was nice, cool and quiet.
