I've spent almost 4 weeks in December/January for just a little bit more than 400 euros. The room was spacious double-bed and I was single, which was good for such long stay. You get 2 stars quality, maybe even more in space and peace. Although I could name bunch of flaws, it would not have been right picture of my stay. Handle battery was easy to control […] hot or ouch too hot or coold brr! water, there was adraught under the door, the view was at the back yard, but... But, I was not looikng for sea view in the first place, I could put a blanket on the floor near the door, and I was careful whilst I was taking a shower. I got what I wanted in Malta for 4 four weeks - quiet place to stay and work. The personal was very polite and mannerly. I am used to free Wi-Fi, but there is no such thing as free WiFi in Malta. That has nothing to do with the hotel, though. The weather during December - January was fantastic (that has nothong to do with Europa hotel either...:=)...), and all in all the hotel is an excellent chocie for budget stay in Malta. It can easily be reached even by bus from airport, and it is 30 minutes of slow walk from St Julian. And 25 minutes from La Valletta by city bus. The beach is just across; of course I did not swim in December, but I took a walk barefooted at in sea water on the stone beach. Although some reviews for this hotel are negative, we had an enjoyable stay here. Our room was large, clean, and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were substantial, including cereal, toast, eggs, juice, coffee, etc. Based on our experience, we have no reason not to recommend this hotel.

For such a cheap rate, the hotel is OK, and very clean. Reception are helpful. Hotel is very central in sliema, hence close to alot of shops.

the hotel is a cheap, comfortable, clean base for your holiday. Location is excellent it is really worth paying the little bit extra for a balcony with a sea view. Breakfast is quite poor so probably not worth paying the extra for b&b. Overall, we would stay at the Europa again

I stayed here in April 2012, on a recommendation from a Maltese friend based on its location, but I wish i didn't. I would never class this as a hotel, it lacks comfort and should only be used by those looking for a cheap bed. The plus points are the staff who I found very friendly with the exception of one older man who always worked nights. The only […] other plus is the location, it is in the middle of Sliema and a short walk to the ferry tours and transport to Valletta. It also on the sea front which is well served by buses which can take you pretty much anywhere on the Island. The bad points are many, my room was in the centre of the hotel so couldn't even tell what the weather was like, there was also an excess of mosquitos whose bodies lay on the floor of my room for the duration of my stay which would give a good indication to the standard fo the cleaning. The bed cover was very dirty with i hate to think what, this was not changed in the 7 nights I was there. The room walls were stick thin, so sleep (on the annoyingly springy noisy mattress) is very difficult. Especially on a Friday/Saturday when the bar on the ground floor plays music that vibrates through the hotel till 4am. The only thing that bumped it to two stars were the staff, if you are staying for a night or two its fine but not for long stays, avoid. Подробнее

On the second night of our stay, I noticed a leak from the toilet, the bedding was not adequate for the time of the year, the heater was inadequate, there was no hairdryer or tea and coffee making facilities at the room, and the next day I was accused of losing or misplacing the room key, even though I had definitely left it at the reception in the […] morning. The building itself is in need of repair, the ground floor looks spruced up, but that's where mod cons end, and even breakfast is a meagre affair. The staff at the Hotel are lovely but it is not a hote, it is a b&b with a desk. The internet is expensive and only available when they have tickets, which is not very often. We stayed there 4 nights with a really cheap price. before we went we didn't have so much expectation because the bad comments. However the hotel did surprise us. The location is perfect: face the sea, direct bus to airport, st.julian, valleta. gozo ferry and a lot of sight seeing places. Room is ok, the only problem is mosquitoes. I must say I was really impressed by Europa. Rooms were nice and big and staff helpfull and freindly. Its a simple hotel but clean and tidy and in convenient spot. Right on the waterfront nice cafes and kiosks near , bus to Valetta or Airport or other places right there or a little wander not to far behind to the ferry to Valetta. Europa and Silema […] is an excellent base for trips to explore malta. Great for the traveller who wants to get out and about and have a neat and tidy room to return to. The mattress sounded as though a machine gun was going off any time there was movement of any kind. It was impossible to turn over quietly! After two requests it was changed for a newer one. Initial impressions good. A safe, pleasant sea-front location with a clean, modern reception and obliging staff. The room was a bit of a shock, even given the budget price. Because I had a 4 bed room all to myself, it was spacious. Fittings were old, basic but functional and adequate...old, battered clipboard desk, 14 inch CRT colour TV with decent […] channel range (inc. BBC World News and one or two other English language stations), drawers and a wardrobe. The beds looked new and had firm, clean and comfortable matrices. Shower, sink and toilet all OK. But the whole room had a tatty, slightly dirty look about it and I found myself being careful not to look too closely for fear of what I might see. Room servicing was hit and miss. Bin was emptied every day. Sheets were never changed but the bed was always tidied. Towels were sometimes replaced. This brings me on to the oddest feature; Windows in this interior room looking into what looked like a lift shaft but full of building materials. It was evident from the stink that smokers in other rooms above a below used this as their chimney. Finally, there was an internal door dividing my room from next door. Thankfully, it was sealed shut but still let lots of noise through to join the regular door-slamming resonating around the corridors at all hours. So bring your ear plugs! It's a budget hotel. You can't expect the Ritz. All in all, I felt it was acceptable value for money but no bargain. Подробнее

Well lets just start with this is not the holiday inn, but a great wee hotel if you are spending time in Malta touring, its right on the sea front, the room we had 103 was huge and had 3 beds, room was clean, bathroom clean, bed clean. the views were fabby wake up in the morning and all you see is the sea... The hotel was completely average, but so was the price. It was a cheap 5 days away and for the price the hotel was fine. There were no particular extras and the "buffet breakfast" of bread/toast, cereal and (awful) coffee was a bit poor but the room was a good size, with a comfy(ish) bed. The windows unfortauntely did not shut properly which is fine […] in a hot mediteranian summer but was a bit cold in March. Overall though I would see the place as a glorified hostel which is fine for somewhere to put your head for the night. When one goes to this Hotel they must keep an open mind and be ready for anything.That is the only way to enjoy your stay there.. Sea view rooms are a must there.

We have stayed at Europa for 4 nights, and it was a nice stay. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was very good, and our sea view room had a loggia (kind of balcony) facing the sea - I mean the beautiful open sea, not a harbour. The location is pefect - the Sliema waterfront, with buses to Valletta, St. Julians and Rabat/Mdina passing by, […] and the ferry to Valletta only about a mile away. It is true that not everything in the hotel works at any given time. When we were there, the heating and the television did not work and were not fixed in these 4 days. However, we could do without both, and the only other problem was that there was no corkscrew at the reception. I think they can definitely fix the latter problem in no time. For the price we paid, the hotel was a bargain - and we will stay there again, if we ever go to Malta. We also loved the little restaurant Le Malte next door - they serve excellent and relatively inexpensive Maltese food. They also have free Wi-Fi (it is not free at the hotel), so you can catch up with the world while waiting for your dinner. Подробнее

Room, sheets and towels clean on arrival, but didn't get any replacement clean sheets throughout my weeks stay. No English speaking channel on the TV. Very glad that I paid extra for a sea view as most of the rooms appear to be internal ones. Very small and dimly lit Hotel Lobby. Vi trivdes mycket bra. Baren väggivägg, hördes väl mycket! Busshållplats strax intill. Vi bodde på våning 2, 5 hade varit bättre, gatubuller tystnade dock framåt 21-22. Frukosten kunde varit lite mer omfattande. Men 2 stjärnigt är 2 stjärnigt! Väljer nog hotell Europa nästa gång oxå.

Vi har været meget tilfredse, men har dog i forskellig grad været generet af støj om natten fra en maskine i hotellets gårdrum (tror vi).Hotellets personale var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Beliggenheden lige ud til strandpromenaden og tæt på transport, indkøb o.s.v. var rigtig god.

hur kan ett hotell inte ha handdukar utan måste tvätta dem som finns på rummet istället för att bara byta ut dem mot andra. fans nästan aldrig handdukar på rummet när man kom tillbaka efter en dag borta från hotellet utan man fick vänta på dem till sena kvällen. frukosten var däremot helt okej

Ett rent och enkelt hotel med obekväm säng. Fick betala en timme för internet som inte fungerade i 5 minuter. Bra läge och bra med kommunikationer. Lätt att ta sig därifrån och många restauranger att välja i närheten.

Det var godt, som forventet - da jeg har været der før - og kommer tilbage! Hotellet ligger tæt på skønne spisesteder, og lige direkte ud til vandet på den anden side af gaden. Hvis man er til historie, korsriddere, sol og dejlige mennesker og et behageligt klima - så er Malta stedet.

L hotel é ideale per chi non ha grandi esigenze, è un ottimo punto d' appoggio per chi vuole visitare l'isola e quindi per chi deve solo dormire e lavarsi li in albergo senza spendere tanto. La posizione dell'albergo è molto buona, e il rapporto qualità-prezzo lo stesso.

Hotellet ligger super godt, men morgenmad er intet værd og vi spiste ud i byen istedet for. Vi fik en værelse på stueetagen og det var fyldt med skimmelsvamp, vi snakkede med personale og fik så en værelse på 4 etage med altan, det var meget bedre, senge er fint, rengøring glemmer halvdelen. Det er et meget billigt hotel, så man kan ikke forvente ret […] meget. Men virkelig super beliggenhed!! Tip: Bestil kun uden morgenmad og med altan (uden altan kigger du i en mørk luftskak), så er det fint for pengene. Подробнее

Creo que hay muchos hoteles mejores en Malta por el mismo precio, el hotel es muy sin mas, mi experiencia fue mala... El trato no el correcto, y solo merece la pena las habitaciones con vistas al mar, lo otro son zulos sin ventilación, Yo tenia reservado 6 dias con vistas al mar y la primera noche me metieron en un zulo de esos, y por mucho que reclame […] solo me devolvieron 8 miseros euros, ( que merece la pena pagarlos x las vistas al mar la terracita y la ventilación,) el desayuno incluido esta bien si lo que quieres es un café y una tostada,,,Por lo demás sin lujos ninguno,,, muy simple y algo viejo,,, Barato si , pero creo que se puede encontrar algo mejor... Pero es verdad que x la zona Sliema y si pillas alguna oferta no esta mal... pero solo los de vistas al mar ,,, la otras habitaciones no las recomiendo,,,( fue la peor noche en la isla) y simplemente por una mala habitación. Et skønt ophold i et lidt slidt hotel, men et godt hotel til prisen - med den mest fantastiske beliggenhed - lige ud til vandet og i centrum af Sliema, og med en hamrende god service. Dieses Hotel ist eher ein Hostel. Gemischt, Paare um die 50 oder junge Leute. Wir hatten ein ZImmer mit Meerblick gebucht, für den Meerblick wurde separat gezahlt. Beim Einchecken, nachdem uns der Schlüssel ausgehändigt wurde, wurde erst auf meine Frage, ob das ZImmer auch den Meerblick hat, uns eröffnet, dass wir 1 Nacht ohne Meerblick verbringen müssten. […] Das hat uns natürlich nicht gefallen, und nachdem wir uns wie abgesprochen am nächsten Tag zu 8:00 Uhr einfanden um umziehen zu dürfen, war das Zimmer natürlich noch nicht frei. Das hat uns 2 von 7 Tagen den Urlaub vermießt!!! Auch mussten wir expliziet auf die anteilmäßige Rückzahlung für den Meerblick dringen, trotz angeblichem schlechten Gewissen, wurde uns nicht das Geld automatisch angeboten worden! Soweit so gut oder schlecht, ansonsten ist das Hotel zentral gelegen. Die jungen Leute (größtenteils RUSSEN) machen tags oder nachts den entsprechenden Krach (laute Stimmen und Türen geknalle). Alloggiare in questo hotel è un vero sacrificio (anche dal punto di vista economico i vantaggi sono limitati), che si può accettare puntando sulla buona posizione (lungomare di Sliema) solo se proprio non sono disponibili altre soluzioni.
