Could have been a lil cleaner. Found a grape on the floor by the bed. And it was cold outside but there was no comforter on the bed.

The hotel really need to buckle down on the smoking policy .The whole bottom floor smelled like smoke and that's not good for people who have asthma like myself .I had to hold my breath each time I came in and out the building .so I won't be picking that hotel to stay in anymore.

My room key did not work on hotel's exterior doors because the hotel's exterior doors were malfunctioning. Hopefully, they fixed the problem.

It's an older hotel and still has the remains of time when smoking was allowed in the hotel and in the rooms. It's fine for an inexpensive nightly stay.

Very disappointed. I have stayed at a lot of Best Western hotels both in the US and overseas and have never complained about any of the properties. This hotel is in bad need of a makeover, the hallways were dirty and stained. Someone had vomited in the hallway and hours later it hadn't been cleaned. There was also an undetected odor in the 2 rooms my […] family had rented. In my room when we checked in there were crackers and crumbs by the side of the bed? The breakfast room very small and not very well stocked, we ate out. On a positive note the young man who checked us in was very courteous and helpful. THE HOTEL IS IN NEED OF A MAJOR CLEANING HALLWAY TO ROOMS IS STAINED AND SMELL BADLY COULD ALSO USE SOME LIGHTS. BREAKFAST WAS OK BUT SUPPLIES RUN OUT QUICKLY. I DOUBT VERY MUCH I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN.NOT VERY HAPPY

Hotel clean and comfortable, breakfast that offers poor little choice. Not recommended for disabled as there is no elevator. Overall the service is good the rooms are clean and newly redecorated.

There are a number of things about this hotel that could be better. The location is about 5 miles from what I consider the main strip in Dover (the hotel is next to the air force base. The room is fairly small, and the bathroom is small. The housekeeping does not work past 2:30 pm so if you need your room cleaned after that you are out of luck. But […] there are nice things too. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The only issue I have was I left a few articles of clothing behind & was unable to retrieve some of my items but other than that I really enjoyed my stay & the pool.

Amanda at the desk was EXTREAMLY accomodating due to a mix up in booking I was given the wrong type of room for 2 adult males. Amanda went above and beyond to find another room for me and even got me a Smoking room at that! After a Frightful stay a couple of months ago in another "Chain" hotel, it is nice to know that there are still people out there […] that take a little pride in what they do and consider the customer first. Very nice hotel. Booked with another person and the staff was able to put our rooms next to each other. The only down side to the hotel was trying to get in the side door near the pool entrance. The first time I used the key to get in, I had to put the key in the slot about 20 times (not even exxagerating). Finally I got the door open and realized how […] to work the door every time. We were traveling and had a lot of luggage and ended up in a room on the second floor.. There is no elevator so it Was difficult to take our luggage up..staff was not very helpful either.

We left for the day and came back around 5 to freshen up for dinner to find that the housekeeping staff had come in and removed our dirty towels but never replaced them or made cleaned the room. Odd that you would enter a room and not clean it!!

First night that we checked in it took a while for the front desk to have our key ready. Went to the door that they told us to go to outside to get in and she forgot to tell us the lock wasnt working. This is after traveling all day and carrying our luggage upstairs. I was disappointed with this location. The hallway carpeting was very dirty, the cleanliness of the room could have been better, and when we walked in the room was very hot because the A/C was completely turned off. I guess you do get what you pay for.

Around midnight, I called the hotel (I got the number from my Expedia confirmation). I told the clerk I was going to be late. She said, Let's check the reservation- uh oh, We don't have a reservation for you. OK, Do you have a room with two beds? She said, Nope, We only have a room with one bed. Now, I'm a father, traveling with my 14 year old daughter. […] So I asked her to cancel the reservation- she said there was nothing to cancel. I called Expedia and attempted to explain the problem to a very nice young lady who did not speak English as a first language. It was a struggle for both of us. I told her it was almost 1 o'clock in the morning, I was doing 70 miles per hour barrelling down the Jersey Pike with my 14 year old daughter and I didn't really want to have an extended conversation, but she had been sent by Expedia to Customer Handling School and she was going to handle me. Finally, she said she was going to call the hotel and then she would call me back. She did call back. She asked if this was the Hyatt residence. She then told me that she had checked with the hotel and it was as I had said: There was no reservation, and they didn't have a room with two beds but they did have a room with 1 bed and that should be OK. After I exploded, I demanded that she cancel the reservation. She said she would be happy to cancel it. All I would have to do is pay the cancellation fee. Then my credit card was charged for the room that I didn't use. I'm disputing the charge. Подробнее

Overall, reasonable value for the money. Ironic that they made a BIG deal about not smoking in the room (I asked for and received a non smoking room), but the hallways absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Yuck. I guess the other guests simply stepped into the hallway for a smoke .

Overall the experience was satisfactory. As stated, I like the fact the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would suggest that the hotel invest in pillows that are covered with something else besides the pillow case. I would recommend and will possibly return to this hotel if need be.

The Best Western Galaxy Inn seemed to go out of its way to be sure I was not pleased with my stay. Even though the place was almost empty, it took forever to get checked in. My room seemed to be selected by the desk clerk to be as far away as possible from the lobby and on an upper floor where he managed to cluster 5 or 6 guests together in one area. […] After I made it up the outside stairs to the balcony near my room, I found that I was locked out & that my swipe card/key would not open the outside door. I called the front desk & related the problem. The clerk suggested I walk back to the lobby, enter there & walk up with my luggage. After discussion, he eventually sent housekeeping to open the door. The cost and comfort were great, better than I expected. Our beds were very comfortable and breakfast was good. There isn't much food put out and we had to keep asking for more as we were a party of 7.
