Salamanca Terraces - Баттери-Пойнт

I loved staying at Salamanca Terraces......my only disappointment was that the bed was Queen size and not King.......and although the location was fantastic and I was on the top floor, there was no escape from the street noise

I thought this hotel was a nice enough place. The room/apartment was spacious and open and modern. It was at the end of salamanca terrace so it was perfect to get to everything you need to in the area. I did think that it was very overpriced for what it was. I was expecting something a bit more interesting for how much we paid and it was a bit of a […] generic place. The Hotel being in the heart of Salamanca is the ideal location for any visitor to Hobart, you are able to walk easily to the city center and the wharfs, or stroll around historic Salamanca which has everything for a perfect holiday. Look it is what it is a bed to sleep in. Very small room with basic setup, wouldn't want to stay more than a day or two. It is very good location.

The hotel was right on the harbour, lots of restaurants adjacent, and ample on-site parking. The room was adequate size with a balcony overlooking the Saturday Market and a kitchen.

Ideal location. Only negative is that they do not have a twin bed option for the 1 bed apartment, and the charge of $50 per night for a rollaway seems excessive

Great location down the end of Salamanca Place, so a very short walk to the markets on Saturday. The hotel had a separate bedroom and living room which is nice if one of you gets up early or stays up late. The Kitchen is well equipped too. The rooms were hot and you were given a fan in the bedroom only, no air con. Probably not a problem usually but […] we had a couple of hot days. As we were on the first floor and facing road that quiet a few people walked past to get to the next hotel it was a little noisy if the window was left open. Подробнее

Good location for Salamanca Place and harbour. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area if the weather is bad! Nice walk in the morning down to one of the great cafes. Good area to stay when in Hobart. Easy parking. No complaints with room and friendly service via Lenna reception opposite.

We chose a studio room because we thought it would be larger than a standard room and because we like to prepare and eat some of our meals in our rooms (we like markets and fresh produce). The room was tiny and had very meagre cooking/ eating facilities. It was really a motel room with a microwave, an electric frypan and the usual bar fridge filled […] with"goodies" which we had to remove in order to use it . There was a very noisy heater - too noisy to leave on. It has a 4 star rating and we expected more. Because of its location we thought it would have a view of the water - wrong again. Having said all that I would recommend the hotel to those who are not expecting to cook and wish to be in a good location in a clean room. Подробнее

We enjoyed our stay at Salamanca Terraces. The location is great and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The only ding is the Internet service. I hate having to pay by the day or hour for something that should be included.

We wanted to be close to the market on Saturday. Perfect location. Very nice roomy rooms. Also just around the corner from "the Ball and Chain", excellent steaks.

I stayed two night in the hotel, it was convienent for the town which was jus a few short steps away, plenty of places eat. I fouind a nice Italian Restauarnt just below the apartment where the food was really good and at competitive prices. Breakfast in thehotel was really good also.

The apartment was excellent, quiet clean comfortable and very well placed. The kitchen was all that we needed but not up to the standard we have experienced in similar apartments in other cities.( However, we have not seen other Hobart apartments). For example two old-fashioned electric hotplates does not constitute a normal cooktop. The dishwasher, […] cooker, microwave and washing machine all operated satisfactorily but were very basic models. The instruction leaflet for the washing machine was inadequate..it stated the obvious " Open the door and place the clothes inside" but did not indicate which compartment was for pre-wash, main wash or conditioner. Models vary, so guidance was needed. The bathroom was well fitted, with shampoo etc provided. The bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. The option of not having sheets and towels replaced every day to save energy was a first and we chose that option for the bedding, but not the towels. We left a note for the room-maid requesting extra soap powder, dishwasher tablets etc and these were supplied immediately. The staff were delightful and very helpful. The free use of the computer and printer to check-in for our flights was also very helpful. In summary I would say that these apartments may be 4 star rather than any higher, and would be expensive at normal rates. We would, however, definitely stay there again. Подробнее
