Идеальное расположение, в пешей доступности от многих достопримечательностей. Для более длинных расстояний рядом также есть метро и трамвай. Останавливался в отеле 2 раза (в разное время в течение 10 дней). Первый раз было очень хорошо, то есть хорошая комфортабельная комната, второй раз (хотя и по очень хорошей цене) было не так мило или комфортабельно. […] В обеих комнатах требуется ремонт, особенно это заметно по окнам и душу. В общем и целом хорошее место для 1 или 2 ночей, но не хотел бы прожить здесь больше до тех пор, пока не залатают дыры. Подробнее

Отель старый, и комнаты выглядят как спальни в студенческом общежитии (и далеко не в самом хорошем). Персонал также не был особенно услужливым, но, быть может, мешал языковой барьер. Тем не менее, учитывая эту неприятность, я бы рекомендовала этот отель из-за цены и расположения — два шага до Дуная.

Этот старый отель был на удивление хорошо оборудован и современен внутри. Персонал был внимательным и очень услужливым. Шум машин оказался проблематичным жаркой летней ночью, но мы выбирали отель из-за места, так что никаких жалоб. В общем и целом очень достойное место, чтобы здесь остановиться.

Нам с моим приятелем очень понравилось в отеле Matyas. То, что он находится рядом с мостом «Elizabeth», делает его в центре основных мест, а также в двух шагах от «Vaciutca» — очень живой улицы с магазинами. Я однозначно рекомендую этот отель.

Отель близко расположен к станции метро, булочной, магазину (может, около 100 м). Очень удобно. До центрального рынка можно быстро дойти пешком и недалеко от основных туристических сооружений. Очень услужливый персонал в отеле, с которым приятно разговаривать. К сожалению, комнаты были не из лучших, самой большой неприятностью была плесень в ванной, т.к. у меня на нее аллергия. Кроме этого проживание было приятным, и расположение не могло быть лучше. Дружелюбный персонал. Великолепное расположение. Если вы на машине, вам понадобится GPS-навигатор, чтобы добраться, потому что место очень запутанное. У нас была комната с видом на внутренний дворик, что было не страшно, но окно открывалось все на несколько сантиметров. Так что по вечерам было жарковато.

Room extremely clean and hotel staff very helpful indeed. Ideally located this hotel to numerous amount of sites to visit. If I were to be honest I think that the rooms could have been provided with tea; coffee facilities. The breakfast was good. I would recommended this hotel as good value for money.

Excellent value budget hotel, with great central location. We didn't have to use public transport or taxi at all.First impressions were a little off-putting but we quickly settled in. Only quibble is that there were no tea making facilities in the rooms.

The staff at the hotel were unable to address a problem with the wireless service ... or should I say the absence of it. The staff direct you to one terminal which is often in use. They seem unaware of the options to test or fix the problem. Essentially, unresponsive. Unfortunate since all other factors were positive.

If you are a 5-star person this is not the place for you. However, if you want to be close to site-seeing destinations, and like to travel within a budget, this place is GREAT. Good size room with private bathroom, fridge with lock for valuables, TV and plenty of closet/ shelf space. Four minute walk to the Metro.....Close to a good coffee shop, good […] places to eat, money exchange, etc. You will have to haul your luggage up one set of stairs to get to the elevator. There was also some noise from others outside, but our window was open towards the courtyard. In the evenıng you fınd a lot of good restaurants and dont need a taxi.Also from Vacı ucta you fınd busses to the fısher basteı.

Excelent choice if you want be be in the middle of everything.

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet and the bonus is the location. You dont have to be rich to afford all of those.

The hotel is a couple blocks from the metro line to the train station and adjacent to the Elizabeth Bridge on the Pest side. It's on the edge of the gentrified area of Budapest. This is one of those hotels that thrives because of tour packages and tourist that doesn't have any options once they purchase one. Upon our arrival (which was quite late due to our delayed flt), the front desk didn't have our reservation and proceeded to tell us that they didn't have any room. He was not interested in talking to us, much less helping […] us. Thankfully enough, I had our confirmation number. He then told us to wait while he investigate. Once he found our reservation, he then quickly told us that the price does not include breakfast (thank goodness cause I wouldn't want to eat it). The lobby was in disrepair, the shower was so small that I burned myself bumping into where the hot water was connected to the shower handle. If you don't have a four star hotel, then you should at least give a four star service. This hotel gave neither. On the good note, it was convenient. Подробнее

Location excellent, very close to all the must-see sights. Our hotel room was facing to the bridge and river. Really beautiful and enjoyable !

It's a very old hotel, definitely need renovation. Poor maintenance. Poor internet connection

Location is great. Right in pest with a view of the river and the sights of Buda. Right across the street from a metro stop of the blue line that takes you every where in Budapest. Breakfast is expensive so just go to the market down the street called Match and buy food there for cheap. Hotel has an internet terminal for people to use who don't have […] their own computer. One thing I disliked is that the room is quite big but the bathroom is terribly small. The shower area is too small for an adult of average size. Beware of crooks right outside the hotel posing as tourists walking around with maps in their hand. 2 teenage girls were walking behind me posing as tourists and one of them tried to unzip my bag pack and stuck her hand in there. I was more than satisfied with my stay at the Matyas hotel. The location is perfect. The room was clean and spacious. I found it very charming that the rooms are accessed through galleries of an internal courtyard of an old building. Although the room didn't have a nice view because it was facing the yard, it was much quieter than the ones facing the […] street. Which in the end isn't that important, because if you're in Budapest the last thing you'll want to do is sit in your room. The Matyas Hotel was a pleasant hotel that we would return to if in Budapest again. The receptionists went out of their way to be helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the hotel was in an excellent location (near the pedestrian mall, very close to the old city of Buda across the Danube). The only negative points were that the initial entrance into the building needs to be restored to reflect the original beauty and needs better lighting, and the shower needed slight attention--one door was shaky and there was a little mildew. Over-all this is a pretty great location for the price. I stayed for 5 days and while I didn't have any major issues with the service other than the people who service the rooms seem to think that two people in one room only need 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for a day an a half. Yes it's kind of hidden, yes the halls are dark because of the energy saving lights that turn off, yes the place appears to be run down condos with the hotel on one or two floors. However, it's cheap, it's in an excellent location central to the touristy areas and it's 1/2 a block from a metro stop. The room was pretty clean and it had a cheap fridge. The air conditioning doesn't work well but luckily it was cool enough to just open the windows. Over-all if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in the center of things and just want a place to crash this place is great. The only other issue I had was that at the time the site mentioned free breakfast and they said it wasn't included and wanted to charge me approximately 7 Euros daily each for me and my partner to have breakfast, which is way over priced. I would very much recommend this hotel. The inside of the building gives a real sense of the period in which it was built, albeit the communal staircase could do with some decorating. Being spread around in different building spaces, the hotel layout could be confusing at first to some people, but this same attribute would make it unusual and interesting for others. Excellent location and friendly staff, that's about it for the positives. The room was quite small and cramped, no AC so was uncomfortably hot all day. Extremely noisy due to all the banging doors made it hard to sleep. The breakfast was poor, not much choice if you didn't eat meat, also no toast!

Don't let you first view of the seedy entry prevent you from staying here. The staff is helpful and courteous, the room is certainly adequate, and the breakfast buffet is fine. Another possible turn-off is the dinky elevator (for two only). Best thing about the hotel is it's location. Three stars is pushing it a bit, but all in all, not bad.

This hotel was recommended by a friend who loves the shopping convenience. I agree that the location is great, but we arrived and found maybe 20 stairs to the lobby, then more stairs to get to the room. They don't provide assistance, yet have a 2 person elevator. Centralt läge med gångavstånd till shopping, matställen, flera spa i närområde, nära utsikten citadellet och saluhallen, bra frukost på hotellet.

Hotellet la veldig bra og sentralt til i enden av Elisabeth broen på Pest siden og like ved Vaci Utca. Veldig greit å komme rundt i byen, og vi tok kveldsturer opp på Gellert høyden hver kveld Hotellet var sjarmerende og hyggelig med helt greie rom. Badet var rent og med nok varmt vann. Dette hotel har en super beligenhed og har er et rigtigt godt udgangspunkt, hvis man skal ud at se på byen. Hotellet ligger 100 meter fra Donau.

Istort sett ett mycket bra hotell med jättebra läge. Bra service och bemannad reception dygnet runt. En nackdel kan vara att rummen som vätter mot Marcius 15 ter har en bussparkering som används hela nätterna och detta betyder en del störande ljud.

enkelt og greit hotell, ypperlig beliggenhet rett mellom handlegate og Donau, frokosten serveres i en fantastisk kjellerrestaurant, hyggelig betjening. Hotellet er innvendig et kråkeslott av kriker, trapper og ned og kroker, så det egner seg dårlig til funksjonshemmede. Men anbefales absolutt. Mye for pengene

An sich ein schönes Hotel, wenn man erst mal im Innern ist! Oberflächlig ist es im Bad recht sauber gewesen, leider war die Dusche ziemlich vom Kalk befallen und defekt! Etwas Schimmel war auch zu erkennen! Was negativ zu bewerten ist, dass einem beim Frühstück ständig auf die Teller geschaut wird! Helt greit og rimelig hotell. Ypperlig beliggenhet - nesten midt i gågata med kort avstand til massevis av spisesteder. Hotellet er forøvrig ikke å anbefale for handikappede eller om man er litt dårlig til beins. Det er ingen heis, og allerede ved inngangen blir du møtt av et par trapper. I stayed at Hotel Matyas for four nights. The room was spacious and equipped with a seating area, mini-bar, comfortable beds.
