My stay was quite comfortable. The cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff enhanced my comfort zone. I would recommend it to friends and family. The only exception was that there was no swimming pool.

After a long day of driving and then loading furniture, I was looking forward to a restful night. We checked in with our dog and were given a room on the first floor. As we were very tired we cleaned up, fed the dog and went straight to bed. The mattress was so firm, it felt like I was laying on a piece of wood. Then the guests in the rooms on either […] side of us decided to party and were outside our door talking and laughing loud enough to wake us and the dog. Next morning we awoke early and unrested and checked out. The only redeeming qualities about this place was the closeness to where we were picking up the furniture and that they accepted dogs. my stayat the Super 8 hotel in Orangeburg was great. The area was quiet and peaceful .The staff was pleasant and helpful.I did enjoy my short stay there. I have no reservation in recommending it to others.

When I arrived at approx. 6:30PM the temp in the room was almost 92 deg.F! w/AC set on 70F. Picture on TV blurry and out of focus. Mattress was far too soft for my comfort. Card key failed to open lock after 3 uses and took 2 trips back to the desk before new card issued.

I stayed at this hotel because it was "pet-friendly." The sign in front said the rooms were recently renovated. My room looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 70's. The remote wouldn't turn on tv, but would work it after manually turning it on. Maybe it had something to do with the tape holding in the battery. The owner of this hotel, doesn't appears to care much about his property. The place is in need of a lot of repair a good cleaning. I checked in at 6p and was supposed to be there for five days. When I got up at 5a I was canceling the other four days. This hotel is for a true adventurer.

I do not know how this hotel has a 3.2 rating. Staff was unfriendly. The appearance of the hotel was scary. Continental breakfast was A joke. I would have left but could not Afford to. Do not stay here.

I called Hotels.com before checking in due to seeing several dogs in and out of guests rooms and the surrounding neighborhood was the greatest. Considering it was just myself and my teenager daughter staying the night. They were unable to relocate me to anything decent. I would have paid the penalty. Room 109 is located by the laundry room and directly in front of the ice machine and drink machine which made continueous noise most of the night. It was very noisy. The cleaning crew was noisy and didnt seem to care that people may be asleep at 8:30 in the morning.

The hotel is a great deal for the price. The room is more than exceptable (clean) and in very reasonable condition (an older but updated hotel). The continental breakfast met all expectations and my family did not go away hungry. It is on a road that gives a bit of traffic noise. But the family that runs the hotel gave great service and answered all of our needs. The young man running the desk at 10:30 in the evening was very courteous and prepared. He got us right into our rooms. When we checked out in the morning, one of my kids had left my laptop behind. The same young man found it when he cleaned our room and had his sister call us immediately. We got the call within 20 minutes of our check out and were able to return and pick it up with a minimal loss of time. Thanks to their great service, I did not loose the laptop I use for work for any appreciable amount of time and we were able to enjoy our vacation in Florida. First of all, it was 5.5 miles from the highway. The first thing we saw when we turned on the bathroom light was a large palmetto bug running along the tub. It disappeared into the wall behind the toilet. It gave us the creeps all night wondering where it was, but we found it the next morning crawling up the wall near the front door. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and courteous. It is conveniently located, next to stores, restaurants, colleges and the Edisto Gardens!!. Decent continental breakfast. Couldn't ask for more for the price!!! I will stay here whenever I visit Orangeburg.

Over all, the hotel was ok. It was a little out of the way, 4 miles off of the interstate, glad we had the gps or we'd have never found it. But we got an awesome deal through hotels.com (we were on our way back home from an unexpected trip to Florida due to a funeral). So we were wanting something inexpensive but decent. Seemed like there were a lot of contruction workers staying there - not a bad thing, but they do tend to be up and out very early in the morning. Rooms were clean. Beds weren't the most comfortable, but they weren't the worst I've ever encountered either. But everything worked, I saw NO BUGS, there was plenty of hot water, and they are pet freindly. This hotel was close to our chosen venue and it allowed pets. The hotel is in the middle of an urbanized area. There is no place to allow pets to relieve themselves, and the city did not look nor feel safe. The room was not clean, the linens and toilet had hair, and other debris left on them.

The hotel was clean and all that you need as an en-route stopover. Over the road is a greek / italian restaurant and the freshness and quality of the food was excelent

It was a great hotel for the price. It was clean. It had a frig, microwave, coffee maker, blow dryer, a pool, WI-FI. and for the price, you can't ask for more. It was close to restaurants, shopping centers, and several colleges. I would DEFINITELT stay here again, if I should need to.

The staff appears to own the hotel so the young folks were not very friendly. The pool had a horrible smell that you could sense as soon as you walk out of your room. the breakfast was very cheap. Little varietty and no fruits or nothing very healthy. the breakfast area is located inside the hotel office and there is only one waffle maker and one dinning […] table, so get in line. the tub was very narrow. the town looks run down and not very safe and there is nothing much around. the nearest walmart was about 20 minutes away. on a possitive note,I didnt have any complaints with the room. better than most cheap hotels and clean. no bugs. the faucet handle came off when I used the faucet there are no washcloths and no iron. you have to check out the iron from the office. the carpet could be cleaned but for one night it wasnt bad for the price. Staff was friendly, and room was clean and in good shape. The town is a little noisy and driving through it is a little difficult due to traffic and poor road quality. I little pricey for the location but I guess since it was just remodeled they are having to keep price higher to pay for it.

Best part was the location to the University. Older hotel that has had some upgrades recently. The beds were fantastic! The bathroom left a little to be desired. Could hear the people above us though.

It was an okay hotel. it was clean and good for the price. it was clean and house keeping came everyday. They were nice and attentive. Good for quick and cheap getaways for events in the area. the bed was very comfortable. it also is in a good location for food and light shopping.(snacks, clothes or toiletries you forgot.)

Very sad that a hotel this close to a University was not better quality. The pillows were like foam boards, the bathroom was tiny with peeling paint and not enough towels. The room smelled funny too.
