Super 8 Hotel - Petoskey - Петоски

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was recently in town for 3 nights on business and this hotel accommodated me perfectly. The room was clean and quiet, the continental breakfast was good with enough variety that I never had the same thing twice every morning. I liked the hotel, it wasnt exactly a convienent location but our day trips were not in Petoski. I got a rash from the pool from the amount of clorine but I suppose I can be happy it was clean. We we're very pleased with our accomodations and the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the hotel was across the street from Little Traverse Bay which was nice to see from the hotel, certainly not a waterview but a nice surprise for a photo buff. Our room was very clean, the manager at the desk was most helpful and friendly. The view of the bay was great! We paid a $5 upgrade not knowing what it was and were delighted to find our room faced the unobstructed view of the bay. We did not use the pool or spa so I can't comment. We skipped breakfast because there were no tables available and there […] was nothing I could eat besides a piece of fruit or hard boiled eggs. I can't have gluten/wheat. Many chains are now offering foods like scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon and cooked oatmeal (not instant). But there was an okay assortment of food choices for most people including a waffle station. The only other complaint was the fan in the heater never shut off and it dried the air in the room out terribly. I had to get up and shut off the heat in the middle of the night because it became so dry and uncomfortable to breathe or sleep. No thermastat? But all in all it was a great value for the price and except for the heater issue I was pleased with the stay. Подробнее

Next time I would make sure we got a front room. Back rooms have a hillside view. Nothing informed us of that.

We spent 4 days traveling to the UP. We stayed in a Best Western and HolidayInn Express and this was the best hotel by far. All 4 of us on the trip agreed. It was clean the staff was friendly and bathroom super clean.

Very clean and modern - the breakfast buffet also had many choices and a nice area for guests to enjoy their meal. Fresh fruit and other breakfast choices were kept full and the area kept clean. More than we expected (based on past experiences) from a Super 8 - very pleased!

The room and staff were both great. The price was definitely right. We actually got to town well before check in time and they were able to accommodate us so that we could unload our stuff to make sightseeing that day much easier. The staff was extremely helpful and we'll be staying there again the next time we're in town.

A decent price and the facilities seemed to have been kept up. Room was clean and fresh, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had probably the most extensive free breakfast selection that I have seen and I recommend it.

The desk person was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was decent, they actually had fresh fruit and yogurt along with the usual offerings of bagels and cereal. All in all it's a decent place to stay if you're on a budget or just plain cheap. Things are clean and well kept.

Upon arriving (circa 3:30p.m.) the man at the front desk was very informative, courteous and because we were booked through "Hotels.com", didn't treat us like 2nd class citizens. Had a 24hr free fruit bowl at the front desk, also a free candy offering later in the afternoon. Although the carpeting was badly soiled from previous spills and we didn't […] like running around in the room in bare feet, the bathroom was immaculate. We were really impressed with the breakfast. We didn't reach the breakfast room until 9:30a.m. (closes at 10:00a.m.) and the food was still being brought in, the helpers were assisting with waffles and were very courteous and helpful. It was clean and neat and just a really good experience. (The same chain in Mackinaw City was out of food by 9:25a.m. and we ended going somewhere else for breakfast.) Подробнее

I couldn't have planned it better. With the money I saved booking here, I spent it on shopping & dining out in Petoskey! You can't go wrong booking here. Breakfast is more than satisfying and they had coffee, tea, cookies, apples, bananas and oranges out all day! And that is huge for me because I am a slacker haha... Great for what we needed that weekend! 2 minute drive into town and 10 minute drive to the slopes. We came in on New Years weekend and had a great time in Petoskey. We went snowboarding at Nubs Knob (which was outrageously expensive by the way - for those prices I could go to 5 star ski lodge in Colorado - they charged $58.00 for a half day pass - Crazy!!!! […] (4hours)) and had a good time. Also they have a shuttle that picks you up and takes you directly to the casino and drops you back off free of charge. Breakfast here is great - waffles, cereal, fruit, etc. - Was a great way to start the day. The only thing I would say they could improve on would be the decor but the beds were comfy, we had our own microwave and a refrigerator and the hotel staff was very pleasant. I stayed here because of the price and the location and I was super surprised that it was such a wonderful place. I don't think I have ever had better customer service, the service was on par with a 5 star hotel! It was clean and fun and a great value. I will stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay and was quite surprised how nice this hotel was. I would stay again and recommended it to others. There was only one hiccup in our stay and that was the night manager did not come to fix the hot tub and we were so looking forward to using it.

The people were very nice and very helpful. Told us where to find petoskey stone and we found a whole bunch. Also directed us to some great fishing. Very nice and big breakfast. Plan on going back.

The manager of the Super 8 hotel with super. He was friendly, helpful, and very courteous. He let me use the computer to check my emails. I will certainly recommend this hotel to other people. The breakfasts were also super. The staff was well trained to give extra service.
