Hotel is at a good location, at the entrance to the causeway. Also has a good view of the canal entrance. We were concerned about the room security--the lock to the outside door was broken. They fixed it, but the sliding door was installed backwards and could not be secured well.

We were leaving early in the am for the Pearl Islands and wanted to stay close to the local airport. The location was perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Panama but near the Causeway which offers wonderful restaurants, a wonderful view of the Bridge of the Americas and a nice place to walk. The hotel itself was in an unusual location, not really near much except the canal and causeway. We would catch taxis on the main road two blocks away. Our trip didn't quite turn out as planned due to the unknown "carnival" going on during our stay. The tours and airport planners were not availabe due to this. We were however very forunate to have a gentleman with the Limo service (just a van) located outside the lobby help us plan and go to a 'monkey Island Tour". We recently spent two nights at this hotel, one at each end of a 3 week stay in Panama. On both occasions, staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were both immaculate and comfortable. The pool was clean with lots of chairs for sunbathers and there were plenty of chairs in the shade for those guests who wanted to watch ships enter the canal under […] the Bridge of the Americas without sitting in the sun. The hotel location is a little out of the way, but is very close to the ocean and right at the entrance to the river that leads to the Panama canal. The hotel is suited for tourists more than business visitors. It is not visible from the road, and almost impossible to find at night. The sign by the road is small, dark green and not lit at night. Rooms are clean and they serve a good breakfast which is included without extra charge

Quite expensive, clean, helpful staff .Their restaurant is TGI Fridays ! Not exactly Panamanian style. Right by the Canal . If you have to overnight between flights and are leaving from Albrook airport it's nice and close.Taxi from Tocumen Airport should be around $30.00.

Pretty location not in walking distance to much. Cabbies that sit outside hotel will take advantage of you and hotel does little to prevent it, which they could simply by telling the uninformed tourist what a fair fee to your destination should be.

We are from the US, and we recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites near Panama Canal. The hotel is very close to Flamenco island, causeway, and the Canal tour operator. It is on the water, and is located very conveniently with quick access to PC downtown. We had booked two rooms that got assigned on different floors causing us to become separated. […] The front desk manager Gerardo generously upgraded our family to an apartment suite with no change in rates. He upgraded us on both of our consecutive stays that were separated by a couple of days. We were delighted to be treated with consideration and courtesy. The breakfast menu contained hot foods, tropical fruits, yogurt, cereals, pastries etc. Both apartments had good amenities. My family and I stayed here one night before flying out of the area and it was perfect. For a very reasonable price we had a nice location, clean rooms and great service.

Great Hotel still under renovation canal side has the best views

Excellent view of the ships coming and going through the canal. Nice area to walk or bike near the 3 islands.

Excellent place to stay - would stay here again.

The hotel and the adjacent park are under construction. Our room was on the floor directly above the construction in this 5 story hotel. We have experience with this hotel, ,just wish we were informed that major construction would be happening during our stay.

I've stayed here twice now, for more than 2 weeks each time (business). Good hotel, staff is eager to please. There's a TGIFridays restaurant connected for good dinners. Breakfast buffet is above average. Has a small exercise room. Pools outside are well kept. Mini-fridge in the room. Overall a decent place, should be a 3 star.

Under renovations; close to the canal but far from the city center

My family lives in Panama City, and stayed at this hotel to get out of the city for a few nights, and finally be "tourists". I was concerned with some of the reviews saying that the construction was a problem. When we got there, the only construction I saw was out in the parking lot area, and didn't affect our stay at all. We never saw any dirt or people […] inside the hotel, or even on the social area property. We did stay on the Canal side, which is practically a must. It's great to see the boats that are always passing through. Just make sure you get a room with a walk-out balcony. About 6 of the rooms only have a large picture window, that we received one of these rooms. It didn't bother us enough to ask for a different room, but I'm sure a balcony would have been nice to sit on in the morning or evening. As many have stated, the breakfast is wonderful. My kids of 6 and 8 years old were completely satisfied and my husband and I enjoyed some of the typical Central American offerings for a hot breakfast as well. We were able to enjoy the restaurants and bicycles of the Amador easily, and drove to the Miraflores Locks within 20 minutes. It's a wonderful location - far enough outside of the City to not be bothered by traffic, but close enough to get to where you want to go fast. I recommend this hotel for anybody - especially young families that have children that would enjoy the passing ships as well as the spacious pool, children's pool and hot tub. :) Подробнее

The hotel was right next to the canal, and was overall very comfertable and clean. Its a bit outside town, but that just ads to a more relaxed and tropical feeling. And the breakfast buffet was great! Book this hotel if you want to see the canal and want a good, clean hotel.

Our Spanish is non-existent and the staff was very helpful in contacting our driver to the airport when flight times were changed. Good sized pool and deck area - the hours could be a little later for adults that don't want to use the pool when it's full of children. Room showers were short on hot water in the evening. Bad room, not up to the hotel standard. You take a chance, lf you choose this Hotel. Lobby and hallways smelled musty.

We were most satisfied with our stay at the Country Inn and Suites (make sure you are staying at the Amador and Pelicano location). Although not a water view, the K room we had was clean and comfortable. We didn't use the sleep sofa but it was esp nice knowing we had it/and a 2nd tv to use. The pool area and hot tub were great, beautiful scenery (watching the ships enter into the canal area) and being on the bike/walking path. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Many people went outside to enjoy breakfast as there are tables out by the pool. We did two tours from the hotel and felt that it was a good location to leave from-- cut down on our travel time to our destinations, not having to travel thru the city during traffic times during the day. We did go into "the city" for dinner and the taxi's were relatively easy to find/ reasonable in price. We also had laundry done. It was one day service/ not expensive and delivered to our door. Snacks in the room were not expensive either (at least compared to American prices). I had to ask for towels at the pool, but the front desk is right there, so not an issue. The first evening there, we walked (15 min) to bike rental and rode to the end of the causeway (4 miles). I wish we had known to look for it a little earlier in the afternoon-- but it was a wonderful ride. The biodiversity museum near by is not open--and it will be quite some time before the construction continues but it's a site to see. We also ate at one of the restaurants on the causeway and it was excellent and easy also...lots of choices near the hotel. Taxi's seemed to be able to find the hotel easily too. We did visit Colonial Town and I was glad to stay in a quieter location. They have a business office with free internet and also gave us a one hour later check out time for one of our rooms which we appreciated. Tought that i had a canal view when made reservation, Found out that there is no room for mistake at all, they would not change my room even if it was for 3 days...Personnel at desk very rude, did end up view on parking lot :( not fun at all )

Although the hotel is an older one, it is one of THE MOST beautiful places I have ever stayed. The Bridge of the Americas, the canal and the ships just outside the balcony - the pool and hot tub. --- all were great!

The location was the better than I could have dreamed of. When they said 'Canal Views' they were not kidding. Right on the Canal, "WoW" Staff were the best I have had for years (I use Hotels 10 times a month). Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent, and poll area first class. Highly reccomended.

Well situated for watching ships rolling by, also for bicycling along the Amador causeway, pools and area very clean! All personnel very courtous and friendly willing to help ! Bathroom need improvement, lobby also ! air cond have difficultys keeping up but all in all ,i would recommend to my friends, T.G.I.F. being right near is convenient!

This hotel was far from the center of Panama city but offered a beautiful and tranquil view of the Panama Canal. This hotel was a long ways from the air port. When we got ther the front desk people were very attentive and spoke english. our room had a small fridge and sink and mirowave, with a nice bathroom and balcony, that over looked the pool. Hotel ubicado en el sector de Amador, sobre la entrada del canal de Panamá, inmediatamente al Oeste del puente de Las Américas. Tiene una linda vista al muelle de Amador con todas sus embarcaciones y está muy cerca de las islas de los Pericos y Flamencos, donde existe una gran cantidad de buenos restaurantes y un duty free muy completo y más barato […] que los del aeropuerto. El hotel tiene un personal muy servicial, y un buen desayuno continental. También cuenta con una cafetería al costado del lobby, y un restaurant TGI Friday´s. En general muy agradable, buen desayuno, vista espectacular, aún en remodelación, sin embargo el único inconveniente fué el aire acondicionado de la habitación, no funcionaba correctamente y hacía mucho calor, por lo demas nos pareció un buen hotel.
