Были в этом отеле 14-18 марта 2012. Когда вошли в номер были, прямо скажем, сильно удивлены. Номера крошечные!! Кровать и метр вокруг для прохода. Судя по всему ОЧЕНЬ старый отель, на 3 звезды вообще не тянет! Судя по всему ранее сан узлы были общие в коридоре. В попытках как-то подтянуть звездность - перегородили стеклянной перегородкой часть комнаты […] и сделали там душевую и туалет. Естественно, лежа на кровати любуешься на тени и звуки за "ширмой". Звукоизоляции вообще никакой! Слышно все что творится во всех соседних номерах! Единственный плюс - местоположение. Однозначно НЕ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ! Подробнее

Прекрасное расположение в Готическом Квартале, центральное по отношению ко многим местам. Классическая атмосфера. Рекомендую.

Мы остановились на ночь перед круизом на теплоходе. Отель находился в очень удобном месте в районе Рамбла. Можно поймать аэробус от аэропорта до Каталонии (последняя остановка), примерно за 5 евро, или такси до порта, примерно 20 евро. Это был приятный отель с дружелюбным персоналом. Отель расположен недалеко от Площади Каталонии, рядом с бульваром Рамбла — местом, куда вам захочется пойти, если вы приехали в Барселону для отдыха. Хорошие номера, прекрасное обслуживание, очень дружелюбный персонал.

Прием, который нам обеспечил ресепшен, был такой теплый и искренний, и молодой человек за стойкой потратил время, чтобы объяснить нам, где находятся самые интересные места и туры с гидами, автобусные экскурсии. Он также посоветовал нам различные рестораны, где можно провести вечер. Он был чрезвычайно гостепреимен и любезен. Хотя кровать была жестковата […] для моей спины, и комната весьма тесная, это слишком незначительные недостатки по сравнению с достоинствами расположения и того, что отель был очень аккуратный и чистый, с прекрасными удобствами в ванной, что очень важно. Отель был идеально расположен по отношению ко всем достопримечательностям, которые мы хотели посмотреть. Мы были прямо за углом от собора и готического района со всеми его причудливыми улицами с музыкантами и маленькими кафешками, и всего в 50 ярдах от Рамбла с уличными музыкантами, кафе, барами и прочими развлечениями этого района. Мы могли легко дойти до гавани и были всего в одном квартале от «Хард-Рок-Кафе». Двухдневный туристический автобус надо обязательно посетить, он того стоит и доступен со скидкой от отеля. Мы волновались, что в субботу и воскресенье будет слишком много желающих на этот туристический автобус, но зря волновались, он ходил каждые несколько минут. Как вы догадались, мы с моим спутником прекрасно провели время в этом городе и без сомнения рекомендуем этот отель из-за его расположения, чистоты, стоимости и дружелюбия и помощи персонала. Прекрасный персонал на ресепшене. Особенно молодой человек по утрам. С чувством юмора, любезный, кажется, искренне волнуется о том, чтобы у гостей было все, что нужно. Дайте ему премию! Отличное расположение.

Я заселился на несколько дней. Отель удобный, и номера просторные, хотя в целом дизайн интерьера и обстановка отстают на пару десятков лет. Персонал очень приятный. Самое лучшее, что тут есть — это расположение. Прямо у Рамбла, 1 минута до Площади Каталонии. Прямо в центре всего этого. Можно дойти пешком до большинства главных достопримечательностей, […] и рядом есть метро и автобусы. Единственное, что меня раздосадовало — это цены за интернет. Что-то около 2 евро за час, и только в фойе отеля. Это 2011 год. Пора менять такие взгляды. Интернет должен быть бесплатным и во всех номерах. Подробнее

Расположение и близость к бульвару Рамбла побудили меня забронировать этот отель, но я оказался очень разочарован. Номер был на 4-ом этаже, wi-fi стоил около 20 евро в день и не работал в номере, только в фойе, кровать была прямо-таки монастырская по своей жесткости, и подушки тоже были жесткие и неудобные. Я там ни одной ночи нормально не спал! Ванная […] была замечательная. Завтрак, к сожалению, только до 10 утра, но был хорошим. Ресепшен был очень приветливый, хорошо говорили на английском, французском и испанском языках и были очень любезны. Единственная хорошая вещь об этом отеле. Я больше не приеду! Подробнее

you couldnt get a better location to stay.staff were very friendly.noises from the street at night but i guess you have to be prepared for that (take ear plugs). bed was uncomfortable but it was ok for 2 nights. easy transfer by bus from airport to catalunya square then 2 minute walk to the hotel.great city lots to see and do so will go back again

A good stay for the city tourist who wish to spend the days exploring Barcelona. I booked the stay one day before arrival and it worked very well at payment, check in etc. It was easy to find on arrival. It´s situated close to Placa de Catalunya, and I felt safe when I was walking home late in the evening. The single bed room was small, but nice. Well […] cleaned. Very correct price for this location

This hotel has a central location. Easy to access by Airport Bus, and 5 minutes walk from station. Only 10 minutes to major attractions like Cathedral and La Rambla. The reception was friendly (thanks Manuel!). But stay marred by insensitive and arrogant manager (Roberto) who have refuses a simple request for hot drinking water. The hotel has a perfect position and the room was nice and clean with a balcony. We can not recommend the breakfast buffet. It is a lot better to go to the nearby cafe and the same price if not cheaper. We had a problem getting connected to the internet, and was told off by the evening receptionist, who obviously thought us very stupid. She could not […] get it to work either though. After getting off the Aerobus from the airport at Pl. Catalunya, it's only a short walk to this historic 1917 Art Nouveau hotel. As a matter of fact, the first time we walked way past Santa Anna and had to trace our steps back! Due to it being on a small narrow street, yet centrally located, it was rather quiet...and we had room #119 with a balcony […] facing Santa Anna. Nouvel is a beautiful old hotel in the middle of the chaos of La Rambla and Placa Catalunya. Despite its location, the hotel itself is relatively quiet, although my window faced an inner courtyard which meant the voices of anyone else with an inner room carried strongly. One night some neighbors came home at 3am and had a conversation for over an hour […] - I had to shut my window and it still sounded like they were in my room. The other nights I was there were fine though. Placa Catalunya is a very central location, and everything in Barcelona is accessible from there. Staff was courteous if not exactly friendly, and everyone spoke english. Wifi is only available in the lobby, and it is not free. You can purchase by the hour, or for 24 hours at a reduced rate. The breakfast is substantial, but they are adamant that NOTHING leaves the dining room - a couple wanted to take their coffee to their room and were told no. The only reason I would not recommend this hotel is that I woke up the first morning with several bug bites on my hands and face. Подробнее

Hotel Nouvel was great! The rooms were big and comfortable and the location was in the middle of everything but at the same time quiet at night. Since the street outside is not populated at night. I can reccomend this with all my heart! And I have been i Barcelona for many many times, this is the best oe I have had :) Enjoy!

Hotel close to main attractions and to metro. Staff was nice and friendly. A 20 euro deposit is required for the remote. Only problem mattress was too firm and pillows were awful too lumpy and hard.

Like others I selected this hotel before embarking on a cruise. All the staff spoke English, they stored my luggage prior to check in and after check out (before I could board the cruise). It is a little over a block from Placa Cataluyna, I took the Areobus (much cheaper than taxi) from the airport and easily walked to the hotel from there. Loved, loved […] the location. Also note if you plan on taking the on and off tour bus the hotel has a brochure with a discount code on it. As others have mentioned the beds are very hard. Very basic hotel with extremely uncomfortable beds. But, the location makes up for it. We only stayed there one night...so the beds were ok. Would not have stayed more than one night due to the beds. Location is fantastic!

The hotel is older but not shabby. Our room on arrival was rather small but very clean and staff so helpful, we did not mind. We returned before our flight home and the room was much larger and therefore more comfortable. Nice Hotel close to Las Rambeles and Cataluna. Beds firm but slept great. Nice bathroom with tub. Only complaint was air conditioner which seemed to shut off on it's own, complaint to management seemed to get problem resolved. Location outweighed air problem.

If you go to Barcelona, you must stay at the Nouvel. The location is right off the La Rambla shopping area, the decor and cleanliness was amazing, and the staff was incrediblly helpful and friendly. They really strive to please. Location couldn't have been better: one block from La Rambla and one block from Placa de Catalunya, but without the noise. Great cafes and lunch spots all around. Staff was wonderfully helpful with everything, including recommendations for restaurants and directions for taking the subway and bus. Mattresses are firm, not "hard." The hotel lobby is beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room however, was not so great. The bed was hard as a rock, harder than our other beds in Europe. There was approx 15 black hairs in our sheets. The walls were so thin, we heard EVERYTHING going on in the next room including them zipping up their luggage. The hotel is esthetically nice, the personnel is particularly helpful and nice. The hotel is close to the Rambla, to the Gothic area and quite central. There is CNN and the BBC but you have to put a deposit of 20 euros to get a remote and there is no fridge. Still, it is a good value for the money.

Hotel Nouvel is in a great location. ! block from the La Rambla and 1 block to the aeroporto bus , train and metro station at playa Caltalayna. It was only 5.3 Euro for the Aeroporto bus making it a very inexpensive and very easy trip to get to the city from the Airport. From there It was just a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The Nouvel Hotel is in the perfect location in Barcelona; it's a stone's throw from La Rambla, but far enough away from the main drag to avoid being woken by the noisy revellers in the early hours! Large room. Very Clean. Small sitting room which led onto a huge patio thru the floor to ceiling windows. Air Conditioning questionable. Sheets so clean you could smell the bleach. TV didn't work and there was noone on duty to fix it. But we didn't come to Barcelona to watch TV. Had a very pleasant stay at the hotel,staff were very friendly, kind and could not do enough for you. The rooms were so clean, would highly recommend it to friends.

We arrived early. Within a couple of hours they had a room ready for us, well before the regular check in time. The reception was excellent, the room large and convenient. The hotel has a perfect location for exploring the city, easily accessible yet quite.

The staff were unfriendly and rude. The rooms were tiny and the beds were uncomfortable. Also, the AC didn't work.

This is a very quaint, well-kept hotel in a great location -- right off Las Ramblas but removed from the noise. Walkable to the Gothic Quarter, the Catedral de Barcelona, Plaza Cataluna and other interesting sites. Very efficient, helpful staff. I would definitely recommend to others and stay here myself again!

We enjoyed the Nouvel immensely. It was within walking distance to the tour bus and shops and restaurants. The Nouvel was very nice and clean, and we had a balcony with a wonderful view overlooking the alley with shops. The only complaint I have is that the beds were hard, but we slept fine anyway. I would definitely recommend The Nouvel.

Hotel in very old building, in heavily gafitti'd alleyway. Some rooms have been remodeled, some not. At first, was shown into a large, not-remodeled room that smelled strongly of smoke, though I had requested a non-smoking room. Linens and drapes were old and dingy. After pleading with the desk clerk, was moved into a very nice, remodeled room that […] did not smell. We did, however see a couple of roaches crawling around. The room was not ready at check in (2pm) and did not provide towels for hours after we were in the room. The beds were as hard as rocks and pillows weighed about 10 lbs and were also hard as rocks (very, very uncomfortable!) The bathroom had ants, the shower head was very difficult to use, the room backed very noisy apartments, the A/C did not work, […] and the furnishing were old and smelled bad. The location of the hotel was excellent. That was the only plus side. Otherwise, the furnishings and linen were old and the halls would echo loudly with the footsteps of anyone passing in the night and we could even hear activity down in reception which made it difficult to have a sound night's sleep.

If you want to stay on La Rambla and not pay an arm and a leg, check this place out. It's not the fanciest, not the biggest, not the quietest, and not an amenity rich hotel. But, it's very clean. They will remember your name. And it's not a bad place to shower and lay your head.

Very pleasant experience. Great location. Gracious and very helpful staff. Good value for the money. The only draw back were the drunks who decided to return to their rooms at about 2:30 am, and continued to make noise until about 3:30. I would definitely recommend the hotel Neuvol to others.
