Grand Central Hotel Shanghai - Шанхай

Отель понравился. Все очень хорошо. Минусов не нашел. Даже несмотря на то, что в интерьере много элементов "классического" стиля, который я не очень люблю. Номер был стандартный, но на высоком этаже и поэтому с хорошим видом на город. Метро совсем рядом, метров 100, что иногда было очень удобно.

room was big and clean but hot as any hotel I have stayed at before. The breakfast buffet was marginal at best. Too many other good choices in the area to deal with a hot uncomfortable room like this one.

Located one block off Nanjing Rd. Lots to see and do in the area. A bit of a walk to the Bund. Hotel is in excellent condition and service is top notch. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Absolutely no complaints.

Great location, almost luxurious for the price and overall very comfortable. Don't expect the climate control to get the room to a livable temperature. In late March, during a cold spell, our room was unbearably hot and I presume the airconditioning was not activated. Great stay at Shanghai. As we were out of most of the day but when we returned, the room was always ready, clean, freshly & neatly tugged with little details which really impressed & touched my wife. Big thanks to the housekeeping staff. Also, not forgetting to mention their sunny smiles & efficient jobs. Great room + Great people = Great Stay!!

Hotel did not have room originally booked and paid for. Neither was I offerred an alternative or upgrade. Breakfast good but buffet dinner was typically chinese . French restuarant fine. Internet expensive at 4pounds/15 minutes if you can get the program required. Free wifi in room needs 200 rem deposit.

A package including breakfast will be more appealing to travelers. Two blocks to the subway station. Overall the location is very good. The currency exchange rate is much better in local banks within a block or two than in the hotel.

The Hotel suffers from a noise problem now that Nanjing Road has become more developed. Four or five years ago when the develpoment around it was not so extensive, it was a pleasant stay, but now it is very very noisy in all but a few rooms. To be honest, we kept wondering what the catch was on our 3 night stay at the Grand Central. For what we paid, the hotel far exceed our expectations. I would book this again in a heartbeat. The room was huge, service was highly attentive, location was great - can't say anything bad.

This is an excellent hotel in terms of location, quality and price. The internet in the room was by a fixed connection which meant we had to take turns but it was fast. We like to use public transport and the hotel is close to a metro station and bus stops.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all extremely helpful. Our only criticism is thet they charged us for the morning cup of tea and it wasn't noted as a cost on the mini bar sheet and it was 48 RMB per tea bag! Otherwise all was great and highly recommended.
