Этот отель дорогой и не придерживается стандартов, которых вы ожидаете от Holiday Inn Express. Номер 207. Автомойка начинается в 7 утра. В сливе ванной были волосы. Я останавливался здесь только на одну ночь, и был очень рад этому.

Маленький номер, затхлые простыни, почти протертые. Дырявые краны, плохой слив в раковине и ванной. Сам отель находится не рядом с пляжем (до которого никто не знал как объяснить нам дорогу). Один хороший сотрудник на ресепшн. Бриджит. Остальные не были слишком расторопны.

Самые некомфортабельные кровати!! Ужасно пахнет, больше похоже на мотель, чем на Holiday Inn. Потратьте немного больше, чтобы потом не сожалеть, что остановились там.

Худшие впечатления в моей жизни. Это плохой отель. С того момента как я приехал, я знал, что это будет неприятное пребывание. Очень чисто и близко к Del Mar Fairgrounds. Нормальный пляж, если вы не против небольшой прогулки и большого количества ступенек. В пешеходной доступности к железнодорожной станции (около 15-ти минут ходьбы).

Плюсы: хорошее расположение - близко к пляжу. Добрый персонал - всегда на их лицах были улыбки (приятно посмотреть). Приличный завтрак (нужно больше яичницы и бекона/меньше эого маленького резинового сыра/омлетов/сосисок). Приятный бассейн и джакузи(очень чисто/полотенца у бассейна). Удобный магазин CVS, недалеко, для легко доступа к продуктам. Чистые […] номера. Минусы: не останавливайтесь на 2-ом этаже - останавливайтесь на третьем, так как вы будете слышать кажды шаг в номере над вами - я никогда не слышал этого так громко в Holiday Inn Express. Не дай Бог, в номере над вами будут бегать дети. Ванные очень маленькие - душевая шторка вот-вот упадет. Люкс, в которм мы остановились, был в основном немного больше стандартного двуспального номера, с диваном кроватью. Итог: мы верим в Holday In Express and Best Western отели - чистые номера, относительно хорошие завтраки, здание хорошо содержится, хороший уровень, без необходимости грабить банк для путешествиея. Не поймите меня неправильно - это хорошее место, ососбенно так близко находящееся к пляжу. По шкале от 1-го до 10-ти, для впечатлений от Holiday Inn Express, я бы оценил на 6 (была бы твердая 8, если бы не наши проблемы с шумом). В номере был специфический запах, как B.O. На пришлось купить освежитель воздуха, чтобы перенести это. А в целом, все было нормально для одной ночи. Видом из окна был старый, открытый ржавый кондиционер, на верхушке соседнего здания, со свисающей ржавой изоляцией. Это не было виной отеля, но тем не менее было довольно неприглядно.

Enjoyed the nice breakfast and room to eat very pleasant

Took my wife and dogs here for a weekend getaway, was OK. I will try to stay somewhere a little nicer next time. Nothing wrong with this hotel however, but if you are looking for more than just a simple bed (like a fun beach vacation) then look elsewhere.

We enjoyed easy access to the places we needed to be and the easy access to the beach. We love the breakfasts at the Holiday Inn Express. The beds were also comfortable.

Close to restaurants,stores and beach (walking distance). Great staff and breakfast was better than most "included" fare. Healthy choices available too.

Our 2nd visit really stunk. Upon arrival, our room wasn't ready yet the front desk thought it was. Thought it was an innocent error, but the front desk gave us another room and it wasn't ready so we had to wait in the hall til it was cleaned. Not good! Housekeeping was awfully late cleaning our room on one day. Last day, they started doing construction […] next door. Call front desk to make them stop because it was so noisy. This is an old hotel with thin walls and no upgrades. It served the purpose for one night to be at the location we wanted but wouldn't go back.

Let me start with the biggest problem--This older hotel has paper- thin walls between the rooms. I was woken up at 2:45am by a cell phone vibrating on the dresser in the room next door. This hotel is a must stay if you are going to the Belly Up Club. Easy walking distance with many choices of restaurants on the way. Cookies at check in. Great free breakfast buffet.

When I first reserved this room I was very skeptical.It didn't look too inviting in the pictures.However I was pleasantly surprised.Beds were comfy, staff was super nice and informative on eatery locations and great beach locations.(4 MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH) Very clean room. the pool and spa were wonderful! I suggest anyone staying here to ask for a room with the heavy privacy blinds (if they have them)or stay on the other side of the hotel. I had a great time. Staff was awesome. Neighborhood resturants are pricey that are in walking distance. Except for the hotdog stand that is open late night! Real value!!

Breakfast was a lie. They do provide a hot breakfast but it is all microwaved and not as great as they say. The room was clean but below average. The hotel has rust throughout and even in the rooms there is rust all over the place. The beds are dated and uncomfortable, the hotel doesnt have cable T.V. they only provide a few channels. If this hotel did some updating and provided a fresh hot breakfast not microwaved it would be great, but for now I would only recommend it as a place to lay your head because this is not a place where you would want to stay, relax and watch T.V., The room AC didn;t work well and it was a shame you couldn't order a movie and kick back they don't have that service either. This is an old building which has been renovated comfortably but not lavishly. The rooms are a decent size and the bed (and linens) are greatly improved over other HI I have experienced. Ok for the money...

Those are the key complaints....

The staff was curteous and friendly, the area and location was good and you get a clean comfortable room. This is not a 5 star Hotel, it is a Holiday Inn Express and I received what I paid for. I was satisfied.

We've stayed in other HI Express hotels before and this one was nearly identical to many of the others. Typical layout and tight under ground parking. Overall the staff was excellent, always helpful and friendly. The hotel was VERY close to the beach, which is what we were looking for (5 min walk). That being said, it was clear the hotel was fighting […] a battle against moisture/humidity and it showed in the bathrooms. It wasn't "unclean" or "gross" but for the more picky traveler it might have been too much. Breakfast was ok, I'm not sure I actually saved any money staying here for the breakfast, but it did save us some time in the mornings which was important to us. The staff is extremely pleasant and caring. The room really fit my needs to a "T".

I must say that I really wasn't expecting much since it was a last minute book on memorial day weekend. BOY WAS I WRONG... My stay here was quiet and relaxing. The parking is right on the property and safe. Tons of things to see within walking distance... The pool and jacuzzi was open to 10pm... full breakfast for hotel guests... Eggs, bacon, Danishes, […] cereal, pancakes, juice and coffee one day the next day it was sausages minus the bacon... The people at the front desk are SUPER friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean. All in all it was a great stay and I would recommend it to ALL... BTW... guest parking is FREE not like the other hotels in the neighboring areas where they charge u an additional $20 per day. Oh and WiFi was also complimentary... Old hotel with ample evidence of continuous effort to keep it up and maintain it. Managers are helpful and responsive. Room of average grade for the money. The room was clean and quiet. Internet worked well in the room. The breakfast was very nice!!! Their breakfast room is exceptionally nice as it's very spacious and bright. I've stayed there before and always been pleased.

driving in san diego the firast time, not really knowing how far solana was it was each to find if you hav a gps.... but once you get to the area it is all you need going north on the coast. room was good, clean, good bed, fridg and microwave. a breckfast that went on till 10am, eggs bacon, biscuts, pastry,ceral..all you need to get your dat started […] all in a room with a tv with the news on...nice set up i stayed 3days and is a great location if your in the north part of san deigo area. anything to the city center or south can be a bit of a daily drive. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms were very pleasant and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was the best selection compared to most for the cost. It is a short walk to the beach, however be prepared for stairs to the beach.

My stay at the Holiday Inn at Solana beach was brief, but very enjoyable!! To avoid the driving, I took the local coaster train. The hotel was not a far walk away from the train station, and not far from the venue where I was attending a concert that night. Of the 3 hotels we stayed at during our southern California vacation, we enjoyed the Holiday Inn Express in Solana Beach the most. It is not a fancy hotel, but had everything we wanted: short walk to a beautiful beach, rooms with a sliding door and small balconey, a full breakfast, free internet (especially important for our 22 year old!), walking distance […] to several good restaurants, and free parking. I stayed at the hotel because it was referred to me as well as it was extremely close to where I needed to be. It was a nice stay and very comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave so it was nice if you needed to take food back to the hotel. This hotel is within walking distance of mostly everything in Solana Beach: racetrack, Dog Beach, restaurants, CVS etc. I have family in the area and this is very convenient. It is a little run down but clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Best value of all the hotels I have stayed at in the area.

Nice location – walking distance to the Belly Up and the Brigantine for those who like to cocktail without having to drive. Downtown Del Mar is a very short drive or cab ride away. The area is spectacular and this is a nice enough place to stay on somewhat of a budget.
