Мы недавно останавливались в Silversmith Hotel по случаю 21-го дня рождения моей дочери. Мы зарезервировали королевский сьют - в номере располагался спальный диван, и мы предполагали, что он нам понадобится. Проблемы начались с самого нашего приезда. Мы опаздали, и они отправили нас в обычный королевский номер, объясняя тем, что это мы и резервировали […] на Hotels.com. Некоторое время они выясняли, что же на самом деле было зарезервировано, после нам пришлось возвращаться на стойку регистрации и забирать ключи. Когда мы наконец-то въехали в свой номер, уже было время спешить на празднование. Мы вернулись без сил в час ночи. Один из нас уснул на большой кровати, и я открыл диван, который был не приготовлен! К тому же в комнате не было постельного белья. Не желая будить уснувших, я спустился на регистрацию. Ресепшионист объяснил мне, что они никогда не готовят диван, тк "на нем никто практически не спит". Я указал на то, что это делает его бесполезным, тк никто не сказал нам об этом ни на регистрации, ни при бронировании на Hotels.com. Она предложила вызвать уборщицу, которая может приготовить диван, что было совсем неразумным, тк в комнате уже спали люди. Она вызвала охранника, который принес постельное белье из разных комплектов, там было две одинаковые простыни и подушки, но не было наволочек. Я был очень раздосадованным, и сказал ей об этом без злости и повышения голоса. На что она мне ответила, "Желаю вам хорошей ночи, сэр!" дважды, что в этой ситуации выглядело для меня также, если бы она показала мне средний палец. Я подумал, что должен рассказать ночному менеджеру о том, насколько я был недоволен обслуживанием, но она, выслушав меня, сказала, что это "их правила", и удалилась помогать многочисленным клиентам, которые выезжали из гостиницы. Я очень рекомендую избегать этого отеля! Оформление нормальное, но сервис и отношение к посетителям ужасное. До отеля было легко добраться из аэропорта Medway, используя "L". Он находится близко к Art Institute и в одной остановке от Trolley. У нас была приятная комната с двумя двойными кроватями и небольшой отдельной комнатой, где можно сидеть. Сотрудники ресепшена был предупредительными. Бесплатная четвертая ночь в отеле сэкономила деньги.

Я останавливался во многих местах в Чикаго, и это недавнее открытие - что за прелесть! Прекрасное расположение, удобные комнаты и не обычные коробки, хорошо сделаны. Я обязательно буду останавливаться тут еще.

Нас переселили из королевской комнаты в королевский сьют по одной только просьбе. Идеальное расстояние до Lollapalooza, приятный район. Я бы только пожаловалась на твердую кровать, странный запах у входа и то, что обслуживание номеров прекращается очень рано. Но какая разница! Нас зацепило! СПАСИБО Silversmith!

Это место, где мы будем планировать останавливаться каждый раз, когда едем в Чикаго. Отличное расположение, пешая доступность ко многим местам таким, как Magnificient Mile, Willis Tower (раньше называлась Sears Tower), Millenium Park, и многим ресторанам. Не хватает слов, чтобы описать каким прекрасным было наше пребывание в отеле Silversmith. Все, кто там работают - отличные люди… Всегда спрашивали, если нам нужна помощь. Комната была хорошей, и все чистое. Отель находится в замечательном месте в районе Loop, откуда можно дойти пешком во многие места. Точно остановимся там еще!!

Это наш третий или уже четвертый раз как мы останавливаемся в Silversmith, и каждый раз мы получаем удовольствие от этого. Удобное расположение для того, что мы любим делать в городе. Спасибо за ваше размещение!

Loops trains run by the building at the second floor, so make sure you ask for a room on the upper floors of the front or on the back. Simple, quiet hotel, and well located in the Loop.

Everyone was very friendly at the hotel, and the amenities were very good. The televisions were a bit archaic and the room service was not the most savory I've ever had in my life, but service was prompt and everything was clean, spacious, and inviting. Overall very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

I loved everything about this hotel; it is quaint but the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are good sized and the windows are HUGE. I plan to return to Chicago with my family and we will stay here.

The online review misrepresented the hotel. I would not classify it as high as it is.

We were amazed by the friendly, thoughtful, helpfulness of the people at this hotels. Our rooms were perfect and the comfy lobby and casual dining room rounded things out for a very pleasant weekend. Can't beat the location of the Silversmith either.

The Silversmith really is a great place to stay. The service staff were helpful and courteous at all times of the day, and the room I received was large, well-maintained and clean. Plus, free Wifi! In addition, the location of the Silversmith is excellent; it is just a block away from Millennium Park, the 'Bean' and the Chicago Art Museum, as well as […] shops such as Macy's, Sears and Old Navy. The El station is also at the doorstep, which means it's only a few minutes to the Magnificent Mile. Wonderful..stayed in Chicago two years ago at different hotel and did not feel this way. Cannot sy enough about the hotel - great location; amazing staff; beautiful rooms. I was close to business address and within walking distance of everything. Will definitely stay there again when I return!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Silversmith last week and hope to return.

The room was very comfortable. We had a problem with the refrigerator freezing our fruit, which they immediately handled. Locater ten feet from the four trains on the Loop. Wonderful to walk in downtown Chicago. Very good value. Extremely accomodating staff both in reception and in maid service. We will stay there again.

The Silversmith is a great Chicago hotel. Its' location is super convenient to Millineum Park and some great Michigan Avenue restaurants. It's clean and quiet. My only complaint is that I booked a double room MONTHS in advance, but got to my room to discover it was really a King Suite. We were traveling with a large group and this happened to most everyone […] in the group that booked a double room. However, some people were told at check-in they were getting a King Suite and were provided free breakfast to compensate for the change, while others did not discover they were given a King Suite until they arrived at their room, and they did NOT get the free breakfast vouchers. That's an issue with inconsistent service. Also, I called a week in advance to verify I'd be getting a double room, and I did not get one. My choice was to share a bed with someone I didn't know very well, or to sleep on a pull-out sofa. Several in our party were not happy. Подробнее

Very nice and clean room. Large bathroom area. They wouldn't allow a late checkout but would check your luggage after you do check out. It is next to the "L" train, but the sound is quite muffled. It sounds like strong wind. Could use updated TV's. I would stay there again.

Dont let the front door confuse you. This is a great place to stay. Very good service with nice staff. Good location with most services within walking distance. Safe at night when walking when going out to eat

This hotel is smack dab in the middle of nearly everything you would want to do when staying in Chicago. Shopping, Restaurants, the Symphony, Millenium and Grant Park, the Sears Tower. We walked to all of these with no problem. Walking to the museum/acquarium campus was a little far, but certainly doable, and you can walk right by the river most of […] the way. Every hotel personnel I met greeted me friendly, from the front desk clerk, to the valets, all the way to the maintenance guy I shared an elevator with. If you ask the front desk, they may give a free upgrade to a suite, which they did to me. The only negative things were the quality of the sofa and bed. I can honestly say they are the same quality beds you'd find in a Best Western or Super 8, which disappointed me. Also, the TV was a 27" tube tv, which surprised me. Only 26 tv channels were available when I was there, but I suppose that wasn't too bad. Bathrooms are spacious and clean, water flow is good with good shower heads. There was no noise from the El Train because we asked to be put in the back of the hotel. You cannot bring any outside alcohol into your room, or they will charge a fee for each bottle they find. I'd definitely stay here again, but it's just too bad the beds aren't softer. Подробнее

The staff is friendly and easy to communicate with. The room was very clean and reasonable for the price. We were there for the weekend, and found some of the restaurants nearby were closed on Staturday night because of the office building area.

This is a wonderful gem in Chicago! It is right next to the "L" and within walking distance to The Art Institute. This boutique hotel is a historic landmark. The staff was incredible.

Location, location, location-perfect small hotel near Millenium Park, CTA stations, with great reastaurants in the Loop area. Spacious, clean tastefully decorated rooms. Great staff-helpfull and accomadating. Highly recomended.

Great location. Right in the Chicago Loop area. The subway was practically next to the hotel's front door.

We spent four nights at the Silversmith and had a very good experience. The staff, the room, the location, the lobby all were perfect. I most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel near Millennium Park, the Chicago Art Institute, Soldier Field, the Field Museum, et.el.

Enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable not the greatest views but then again you're sleeping. Agree with previous review to try to get room as far away from elevated train if you like things a little more quiet. Biggest problem is finding this place because it is essentially just an entry way with a relatively small sign on the left heading […] south. I found the room to be very tidy and quiet. I could not hear surrounding rooms. The museum was very close to the Art Institute and other museums. I would stay there again when I return to Chicago.

Great location, fantastic people at desk and out front. There were at least 2 staff people out front at night to offer assistance. Room was clean and very comfortable, a great find in Chicago!!

Walking distance to shops, food, fun and theater. Right by the train but could barely notice inside. Room comfortable with Large bathroom . The staff is great. It was hard to find because the entrance is Just a door. Had to go around the block 2 times to find. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back here to stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Silversmith. Steps away from the L, it's a great launching point to get anywhere in the city. We really appreciated the convenience and proximity to sites like Macy's State Street, Millennium Park/The Bean, and the Art Institute. The hotel retains some elements of its late19th century heritage but has been nicely […] updated and maintained. Amenities in the hotel are fairly basic but the staff were attentive and very friendly. Because the Silversmith is surrounded by the densely packed buildings of the Loop, you won't get a view, and you hear the faint sound of the trains occasionally. The Silversmith Hotel is a perfect choice if you want to walk around all the main attractions in Chicago, this will avoid you from renting a car and paying huge amounts for parking.
