Отель уже порядком подустал, но полностью соответствует цене-качеству. До пирса 39 минут 10 пешком..столько же до знаменитого зигзага Ломбарда ))

Расположение отеля очень выгодное для туристических прогулок и шопинга.Район тихий,безопасный . много кафе и ресторанов. Рядом с гостиницей остановка лучшего маршрута канатного трамвая, ворота чайна табун. В гостинице бесплатный интернет, а в холе хорошо на тронный старинный рояль. Музицировали каждый вечер.

отличный отель с отличными современными номерами и современным дизайном, красивый вид на город из ресторана на верхнем этаже. единственный минус - расположен в районе с ночлежкой для бомжей. поэтому бомжи там в округе на любой вкус. но они не опасны а очень даже интересны. также персонал отеля не разрешил оставить нам велосипеды на стоянке.
Location.

Hotel Features.
In 1875, William Ralston's dream of opening a property that would surpass Europe's finest lodgings became reality. Today, the historic atrium-style Garden Court boasts a soaring stained-glass dome and Austrian-crystal chandeliers. The Garden Court hosts weekend Palace Jazz brunches and prepares à la carte lunches Monday through Saturday. Maxfield's Restaurant serves California cuisine while Kyo-ya Japanese restaurant prepares specialties such as Zen-inspired kaiseki dinners. Pied Piper Bar is the home of the famed Maxfield Parrish Pied Piper of Hamilton mural. The Palace Hotel offers 53,000 square feet of function space that includes three dramatically designed ballrooms. Events are also accommodated in 22 smaller rooms. A weekday business center offers full services. Internet access is available in public areas. A pool-view fitness facility was renovated in 2007 and features wood flooring and a complete range of workout equipment. The light-infused atrium pool features gleaming white tiles with blue accents. Beauty treatments are performed at a poolside cabana.
Guestrooms.
The hotel's 552 guestrooms boast 14-foot ceilings and mahogany furniture. Beds feature plush-top mattresses, luxury 300-thread-count Frette Italian linens and down duvets. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee. Flat-panel televisions are equipped with cable connections, while MP3 players, CD players and DVD players are available upon request. Bathrooms include pedestal sinks, massage showerheads, and terrycloth bathrobes. All rooms include refrigerators.

Pied Piper Bar - Home of the Maxfield Parrish mural The Pied Piper of Hamelin, painted for the hotel's reopening in 1909. Polished dark woods and coffered ceiling evoke a San Francisco gentlemen's club of the early 1900s. Open daily for cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty coffee drinks.
Located on the fourth floor, the health club features a skylit lap pool, along with a sauna, and fitness center.
The Palace is about 4.5 miles from the historic Presidio Golf Course, rejuvenated under the supervision of Arnold Palmer Golf Management.

"Great Stay"
AWESOME location and facility. HOWEVER, they are ripping their customers off for WiFi access. Seriously? Such a nice property, this should be included in the room rate.

"Not what I expected for a PALACE"
The beautiful pictures weren't what we found. Our room was 'weary' and needed the carpets cleaned, a new mattress and updated. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. We heard every word the people in the next room said every night. Parking is almost as much as the room! HOWEVER, lovely bar and very helpful staff.

We were taking bart into the city and wanted some place within walking disdant , while dragging our luggage. it was perfect .When the opertunity to stay at your hotel came up.we took it. We just got off bart and we were there! We enjoyed the hotel, what a beautiful place to stay in. "Sheraton Palace--near Union Square"
Wonderful classic hotel with a gorgeous dining room full of crystal chandeliers, tastfully done! Very comfortable bed in "cozy" room. Bath was adequate with typical shower/tub combination. "not good, great! but no romance"
As a couple staying there we walked everywhere in san fran and when we got back to the hotel we just wanted to soak in the hotel hot tub for a minute. To our surprise at nine o'clock at night the pool area was completely over run by screaming children. Now I don't mind kids but I have become a huge fan of hotel policies that state no children in the […] pool area between the hours of say 8:00pm-10:00pm. "Almost, but not quite"
The Palace Hotel has a GORGEOUS dining room. It is well worth the visit, but unfortunately, it is also ridiculously expensive. This dining room made me want to stay there, but the rest of the hotel is not as beautiful or as special as the dining room. Don't get me wrong, it is nice, but not amazing. The whole experience would have been pretty good if […] it hadn't been for the Concierge having no idea what time the Chinese New Year parade started, and having no idea how to direct us to the hotel, given that Market St was blocked off (the only way to get to the Palace by car, without disobeying traffic laws is from Market St). When we were just half a block away, we were diverted off Market, and thanks to the Concierge's terrible directions, spent 45 minutes in the worst traffic I have ever seen in SF. Boo. "Grand and spacious for San francisco"
It's our first time, me and my hubby is amaze with the hotel. Our room is Amazing with high or vaulted cieling!! The frontdesk is polite. We went to the bar its nice and cozy! It very nice location and minutes away in union square!! I will definetly comeback
"Don't use the phone"
4 star accomodations but: 1. The pool is too clorinated. 2. The cost of one 3 minute phone call to an out of area cel phone was over $24.00 dollars. This put a bad taste in my mouth regarding our stay.
"The Palace Hotel in San Francisco"
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were filthy and had a really bad odour in them. We changed rooms and found that the second room awas just as bad a the first. I am SPG gold and have never stayed in such a fithy SPG property anywhere. Infact this was filthier than $30 motel. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.

We just had a newborn and a friend offered to baby sit so we can have a nights sleep. It was easy to BART in, service was impeccable and the hotel was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and room was lovely. I enjoyed the bathroom so much I took a bath twice. So nice to have that luxury without a fussy baby. We splurged and had brunch there. Lovely hotel, first time in San Francisco & hotel is ideally located for everything you might need. You can walk to the bay area, shopping centre China town (Chinese New yr Parade right on the door step during our stay!) Really nice pool for relaxing in too. Would stay again & recommend to others.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always enjoyed it; it has become our favorite. The service and amenities have always been topnotch. We usually arrive by BART which brings us right to their door. Most of the things we want to do and see are within walking distance.

"Grand stay in the heart of the city"
We stayed with kids for a night here. The place is grand and my 2 yr old daughter had fun just exploring the hotel public places, stairways, chandeliers etc. The hotel can be a bit expensive but overall given the location (right next to BART and in the heart of the city) and the decor, it's well worth it.
"Outstanding service"
The front desk manager went out of his way to assist us when our key failed to work. When we checked out, he even carried our luggage to the BART station as he could see we were loaded on. It really made the difference in our stay.

Interior of the hotel is nice, it has a certain charm to it especially during the holidays. Service is great, prompt & very welcoming. Hotel itself is historic so the amount of space can leave something to be desired but its SF, there's not a lot of room in any hotel rooms to begin with. I wan't sure what to expect at this hotel, looking great on a website has fooled me in the past. We stay in SF frequently and usually try a different hotel each time, just for kicks. This place was the nicest one! (OK we don't stay at the Westin St Francis) The location is unbeatable by ANY hotel. Just outside is the underground for the Muni & BART, […] one minute walk from a quiet Starbucks, and not anywhere near the Tenderloin, which most downtown hotels are adjacent to. Inside was BEAUTIFUL. It is one of the classiest and nicest hotels in SF. The on site restaraunt and bar were overpriced, but gorgeous. Dozens of other choices are within a three minute walk. Parking, like at any other downtown hotel is pricey. If you must have a car there, which you should avoid using anytime during your stay, park in Japan Town. Across the street is the start of Geary which will take you directly there and has quick cheap bus travel. If you read any complaints about people not enjoying their stay in SF, you know they were using a car. Don't do it! Ditch your car somewhere cheap (Japan Town) and don't look at it again till you check out. The room we stayed in on the 8th floor was a little larger than most downtown rooms, but still small. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and the bathroom was large. The room had everything you would want with a big desk, tons of outlets, operable windows, large closet, nice hangers, a robe, small fridge, large TV, etc, etc. The room was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The carpeting shown signs of a little wear, but the overall quality and location make up for any preceived shortcoming. The service level of each person we encountered was top rate. The bellmen, customer service agents, and wait staff were all very friendly, efficient and good natured. I think I will have to end my hotel swapping and stick to this one for a while. Подробнее

Location superb, service and personnel were great. Walls were so thin that you could hear conversations from the next room on both sides. We could hear a cell phone conversation next door, where we could hear both sides of the conversation through the thin walls. We recently stayed in the Palace Hotel for six nights while visiting my daughter in San Francisco. When we wanted to get a reservation for high tea (a must!) in the lobby on Christmas Eve and were told it was told out, the wonderful concierge, Debbie, got us reservations at 2:00 p.m.! A luxury hotel, well-located with a Bart station on the corner. Free morning coffee especially appreciated. The breakfast buffet is expensive but the service and the beauty of the room make it a lovely experience. Lobby was busy due to holiday activities and displays but this did not detract from my visit.

"They made it a great weekend for our family"
The vallet parking was very convenient. I was pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in early and most of all I loved that after we checked out we were able to leave our car in their parking lot for several hours while we did more shopping and had a late lunch. I can't wait to stay there again.
