This is the second time I have stayed here. The one bedroom apartment is great value. Bars and restaurants are within a 5 min walk. Would definitely stay there again.

Several have complained about the "hill" you go down to go to town and come back up to return. An easier option is to directly towards the harbor and then turn right and walk into the city. Slope is much more easy to navigate. Would definitely stay there again--washer and dryer in the suite was wonderful.

The facility has a neat design and the room was spacious. The bed was super comfy! The bathroom was very nice too. Location is convenient. Some things you should know though: They have an underground parking garage but it was always full and very hard to turn around in when it's full. I rate the customer service as a 4 out of 5 because our room wasn't […] ready when we wanted to check in and although they were polite when I called the front desk a few times, they had an undertone of unfriendliness like my call was an inconvenience. Although luxurious, clean, modern rooms, extremely difficult architectural layout. You have to leave the building to go to reception, and the path includes going up stairs then back down them. Also the staff was not helpful -- completely lacked skills to accommodate tourists, and NO concierge service. The distance from town was reasonable for walking, […] but take note the hotel is located up a steep hill. Huge suite, very reasonably priced. Great view over Lake Wakatipu, easy walk into town, great under cover car parking. Second Scenic hotel we've stayed in in the last 6 months, and both have been brilliant.

Had a very uncomfortable stay due to NO AIR CONDITION in room with large window and full sun the room was hotter than a sauna We went to restaurant as I expected air condition there and there was a unit there but it was not working Had cigarette smoke coming into the non-smoking room

Excellent except the room was boiling hot when we arrived as the curtains were left open and the sun had been pouring in all day and there was no air conditioning for the room so we had to leave the balcony door open all night.

Would definitely stay here again in winter, but beware of the summer heat as all the rooms face west with a good view, but the hot summer sun directly shines in for most of the afternoon/evening which makes the room into an oven - guaranteed. No air cond (and only one balcony door) means that the room won't cool down till the next morning.

We were travelling the South Island by car and Queenstown was the third stop on our loop. We stayed in Scenic Suites for two nights. Our accommodation booking criteria was based on value for money and this hotel satisfied that requirement completely. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. It even had a view from the balcony. Not even the backpacker's hostel across the road was an issue. Parking is excellent and we left the car in the basement for the whole of our time in Queenstown. Great value at a good price. The hotel was good. The kitchen was not completely equipped with utensils. Room needed some repairs as there were some signs of damage. Lamps had a tear in the fabric, the screw on folding door to the balcony was loose and came off easily. I noticed dried blood stains on the inside doona covers which should have been washed with a stain remover but […] was not. However the staff were very friendly and polite. For the same rate I could have booked the Crowne Plaza so Scenic needs to do more to square up to the 4.5 star level. Подробнее

Excellent staff - Stewart the Manager was very helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and easy. They were happy to store bags and were timely in taking care of booking taxis, restaurant reservations...never missed a beat!

We were a family of four and the staff was able to book us a two bedroom. The second room had a kitchen and laundry which was great. We extended our stay and the staff was very helpful in accommodating us so that we did not have to change rooms. Everything was clean, it was a great location and we were very pleased. Scenic Suites is in a very handy location very close to the township of Queenstown. Checkin was friendly and a staffmember directed me to my room. Only stayed one night but found it really suited my requirements on this occasion.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and timely. Was never waiting around for assistance. If you have small children I would not recommend it due to the steep walk up to the hotel. Otherwise there is nothing else I can fault with this hotel. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Good location, only a 5 minute walk to the city centre. We stayed in a triple room which was tiny. We were really unhappy with the service provided- we booked two rooms and reception put us in different buildings despite our request to be close.

Unusual room entrance, one door to lead to two units. Neighbours were noisy one night, with two doors to slam, was the only let down. Our unit was excellent with a fabulous location to the town centre. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is in walking distance to all the downtown locations and has a bus stop near by. It is also at the top of a hill so you will get your exercise. But if I can climb that hill 3-4 times a day, most people should be able to also.

Firstly, our 3 night stay was great value for the money we prepaid from Australia on a special internet deal. We booked a one-bedroom suite on the third floor facing The Remarkable Mountains for four nights here and couldn't have been more pleased. The suite was spacious, well-decorated, in close proximity to city center (the hill is good exercise!), and provided everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. I would book here again without hesitation!

A great venue with excellent service. Hotel and rooms need maintenance attention - room lock did not close properly, ozone smell from lift control room dangerous, and food smell on patio from restaurant not pleasant.

Nice hotel with a comfortable room. But the noise is almost too much. Noise from the street is very loud. Noise from your neighbor coming in via the shared door is like a freight train passing by. Whoever designed that stupidity should never work again. There is a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, and washer/dryer in the unit. They give you no detergent […] except for the dishwasher. My wife and I stayed at Scenic Suites on Stanley St, Queenstown for 3 nights. We found the apartment to be very nice, neat and comfortable. Recommended for value, comfortable, stylish standard of room and friendly helpfulness of staff. Fairly close to shops, restaurants etc. Only drawback is the steep hill to get back up to the Scenic Suites from Queenstown shops, etc, if walking and unfit! Our 'Continental' buffet breakfast was quite adequate for us.

The suite was enormous, had a comfortable bed and perhaps best of all, a washer & dryer to do laundry. It's just a short walk into the heart of Queenstown, we never bothered with our car while there. We just left it in the underground lot. Highly recommended. We'd stay there again without hesitation.

Hotel was very comfortable. Loved the kettle, toaster, plates, cups etc. The room was hard to find in the multiple levels of the hotel, especially as we were carrying heavy packs! But gloriously comfortable room, hot hot water endlessly. No spa bath which we had asked for and no view but otherwise excellent

We originally booked on the basis of having a room with a lake view but were disappointed with the room we were initially given on the ground floor. Whilst is was modern and stylishly fitted out, the traffic noise was extremely loud and the view wasn't what we'd expected (couldn't see the lake). My wife convinced me to accept this change on the basis of getting a good nights sleep - we would just have to make do with a view was of an enclosed garden area. On a positive note, our one bedroom suite was very well fitted out, clean and comfortable. The location is a convenient 5 minute walk from the city centre, though coming back up the hill may be a bit challenging for those who are less fit. Secure parking on-site is bit limited when the hotel is fully booked; we did however park on the street adjacent to the complex one night without any problem. The staff were very friendly - the concierge (a young Chinese guy) was especially helpful during our stay. Overall very pleasant accommodation (if your room is away from the main road). Подробнее

Great central location, though it is at the top of a steep incline from the town centre that could be a difficult walk if you don't have a reasonable level of fitness. Myself and two friends travelled to Queenstown for a 40th Birthday party. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the hotel condition. Room was fresh, lovely modern furniture. On returning from a day trip, we turned down our bed covers […] to see a bed not made properly, and cups not washed. I rung the manager who promptly came to assist, agreed that it was unacceptable, and we were moved to the most fabulous room with the best view in the house. I complained as I knew the staff member would continue this level of housekeeping, at no stage was it an intention to be moved. But gosh it was well worth!! I would without a doubt stay again.
