Hotel Abbazia - Венеция

В отеле было намного лучше, чем во многих 3-звездочных отелях. Другие говорили, что это не очень рядом к достопримечательностям, но остановка Vaporetto прямо в конце улицы и по Grand Canal ехать всего 20 минут до St Mark's Square. Разве это плохо? Очень рекомендую.

Мы остановились в номере 214. Из всех четырёх отелей, где мы останавливались за нашу двухнедельную поездку по Европе, этот был самый плохой (а мы всегда жили за одинаковую цену и в таких же звездочках). Люди не ресепшен были наименее дружелюбные из всех отелей, а номер был темный и неопрятный (ужасные темно-красные обои по всему номеру) и отвратительно […] пахло дымом. Я не чувствительна к дыму (родители всегда курили в доме), но в этом номере у меня закружилась голова. Еще, кондиционер (который вначале едва работал) после первого дня вообще таинственным образом отключился, поэтому в номере было очень жарко. Мы не могли открыть окно, потому что там не было сетки и могла налететь куча комаров. Также, хотя это и не вина отеля, рядом был собор с громогласным колоколом, который звенел в странное время типа 7:15 утра или 9:30 утра (время примерное), а звонят они более 100 раз каждый раз (один раз я насчитала 105 ударов). Прямо таки смешно от того, как долго и громко они звенят. Расположение в 100 метрах от станции поезда, что было замечательно, мы ездили на поезде в город. Город небольшой и много народу, водное такси на катерах очень дорогое, поэтому мы были очень рады, что живем в 30 секундах от станции. Отель максимально удален от центра туристической зоны (область San Marco Palace), но от отеля можно прогуляться,что мы и делали каждый день без всяких проблем (к сведению - мы живем в большом американском городе и привыкли много ходить каждый день). Так что, смотря какие у вас приоритеты, это место или идеальное, или не очень хорошее. Подробнее

В этом отеле очень доброжелательная обстановка, которая сделала наше пребывание в Венеции еще более приятным. Персонал очень дружелюбный и очень любезный, а маленькие детали, такие как карта с рекомендациями ресторанов и зонтики на прокат, действительно играют свою роль. Отель Abbazzia запрятан в переулке, который вначале показался очень старым, около 3 минут от станции Venicia S.L. Тем не менее, через парадный вход мы попали в спокойный отель с хорошим расположением. Отель очень старый, но комнаты обновленные, хорошо обустроенные, с кондиционером. Это приятный отель, переделанный из старого монастыря, можно пешком дойти от станции поезда (не нужно пересекать мосты) и Plaza Roma (нужно перейти один мост). Дорожка к отелю небольшая, ее можно легко не заметить, поэтому внимательно смотрите в оба, после того, как пройдете станцию поезда. Персонал дружелюбный, хорошо говорит на английском и французском. […] Номер был тихий, чистый, нормального размера, с ванной и ручным душем. Если вы не можете спать при свете, стоит взять повязку на глаза, т.к. ставни на окнах не полностью закрывают свет. Бесплатный вайфай (информацию по подключению можно узнать на ресепшен) и приятный завтрак (континентальный) включены в стоимость проживания. Мост Ponte de Scalzi через канал и остановка водного трамвайчика Ferrovia в 150 ярдах от входа отеля. Еще там есть люди, которые предлагают донести багаж на мосту между Plaza Roma и Cannaregio, которые не относятся к отелю. This hotel is a bit old, but the price is reasonable! Location is perfect, breakfast is so so. But everything is fine, not bad at all at this price.

Conveniently located near the Santa Lucia Railway Station with the Bus Terminal (P. Roma) a few minutes away. Agree with some reviews that it was rather difficult to find as its entrance was in a small alley. We had no problems after having checked its exact location via Google Map before arriving. We arrived late afternoon and our room was ready with a baby bed in it. Rather impressed as we did not specify for one at booking. Plenty of room for the kids to run around. Check in and check out was also a breeze. Only downside was the breakfast which was rather adequate. Not to worry as theres plenty of restaurants and pizzerias around. Note to Halal concious travellers:- There is a pizzeria (can't remember the name, but i think its QB) near the hotel that sells Halal kebabs. Turn left as you exit the alley that leads to the hotel. This is a nice hotel.The hotel was great, good breakfast, and clean nice rooms.

Very convenient n u need not taking your luggage up n down expensive waterborne. I must say service is warm but not elevator is definitely a shortcoming. There was false alarm in the midnite n really annoying. If no false alarm, the experience is quite good. Breakfast is good too.

The location of the hotel, excellent. That was the high point. A fire alarm woke us about 5:45 am, all the guests wandered out and congregated in the central lounge area. The person at reception, said nothing! God help us if it was real. The alarm was eventually turned off and everyone went back to their rooms. The early morning fiasco may have had […] an effect on the electracals. At breakfast, there was no hot water, for coffee or tea, again, no apologies or explanation. The waiter who was the reception person seemed upset and brusque in dealing with the clientele. Hotel was nice. Room was great... Ours was larger than most and very warm. Free breakfast was good. Most of all the staff were helpful, warm, and friendly, unlike the rest of Venice.

My husband and I stayed here for 1night the hotel location is perfect if your taking the train,the room is very clean and comfortable .brekfast is great and plenty I will recommend this to family and friend and if I come back to Venice I will definitely stay here again.

Tucked away off the Grand Canal, this is a surprisingly delightful hotel with a fantastic, helpful, engaging staff. The Hotel Abbazia is a very clean, safe and affordable hotel. It is within a block of the train station and local bus station. The location was great and the hotel service satisfied us. It has a small beautiful garden and the breakfast was ok. Not good; It provided no computer in the business center, so that we had to find an internet cafe outside the hotel.

Tucked away down a narrow street, the size of the converted monastery can only be a surprise. Wonderful lounge area, which was a peaceful place to drink, talk and relax. The hotel is at a primary location--close to railway station, the bus terminal, a station for the river boats and the harbor for the big ships--yet in a quite alley. Lovely little hotel close to the train station, but off the main street. Nice room. Good breakfast. Comfortable mattress. One night stay before a train trip to Florence. Worked very well. Would recommend.

This was a charming old hotel that used to be a monastery. The location is right beside the railway station and near the port. Everything about it was great. Highly recommended.

Staff were very welcoming upon arrival and informative regarding tourist information. The hotel is very quiet. Breakfast is excellent . we would definitely recommend the hotel.

This hotel is a concern when you first walk down the alley, however, we discovered that there are tons of "alley's" in Venice. When we were greated at the desk, those concerns melted away. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We left our bags with them in the morning until check in, and when we returned, they had even taken them to our room […] for us. The beds where exceptionally comfortable.. the AC perfect.. and the breakfast fresh and delicious. The bathroom was newly updated and beautifully tiled. It felt like stepping back in time to a warm, friendly inn. The outside area in the middle of the building felt secluded and quiet... a nice reprieve from the 12 day cruise and tours we had just completed. We will return! Подробнее

We have just returned from a 4 night stay in the Hotel Abbazia to celebrate my 60th birthday. We have stayed in this hotel before and would definitely do so again. We stayed 2 nights pre-cruise at the Hotel Abbazia. It is very close to the train station, easy walking distance even with luggage. We took a van from the airport which left us at the Plaza Roma, not very far from the hotel, but we had 2 persons with wheelchairs, and there is a fairly large bridge to go over. Walking was out of the question, so we took […] a water taxi to the Ferrovia stop, which is right by the train station and walking distance to the hotel, even with wheelchairs. As to the hotel, it is an old converted church/monastery, very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were air conditioned, and we even slept with the windows open one night. The breakfast was very nice, with fresh rolls,toast and croissants, cheese and ham, cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, orange juice, etc.. It was very nice to just go downstairs and eat breakfast, and not have to look around the neighborhood for someplace to eat. We had a minor problem with the showerhead not working properly, and it was fixed promptly. If you are a late sleeper, there are church bells right next door that WILL wake you up at 7:15 and 8:15 am. There is also a bar/coffee bar that was open for a glass of wine or cappuccino in the large sitting room/living room area. And there is a very nice courtyard where you could also eat your breakfast, or sit out in the evening and relax and talk. I highly recommend the Hotel Abbazia and would definitely stay there in the future. Hint: Get the water bus/taxi 24 or 48 hour pass and take the water taxis all around Venice. You can get on and off as much as you want, and can really see several different neighborhoods. There is a great little restaurant right in the alley by the hotel, Alle Lance, that had the best pasta with bolognase sauce my father-in-law ever had. Подробнее

This was my second stay at this Hotel. The staff was really great. The Front Desk Clerks, Mirko and Rafaelle, were absolutely great. They were very helpful, recommended great restaurants, gave perfect advise on local attractions and made our stay perfect. Close to absolutely everything. Charming room with friendly staff. A/C wasn't to be turned on for another week, so they got us a fan and we were set. Across the bridge from the train and bus station, but across the world in atmosphere from them. When you cross the bridge, you enter a new world. Loved our evening walks when we were too tired to do much […] but walk around the canal, shops and restaurants by our hotel. I booked my stay at the Hotel Abbazia, based on a number of extremely positive reviews both here and on other travel rating sites. Following our stay, I am somewhat surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews that Abbazia has received. In a nutshell, Abbazia is an exceedingly faded and shabby hotel. Some amount of wear and tear is to be expected […] in a city like Venice, but even by the (low) standard of hotels in historic European cities, Abbazia is pretty rough. Furniture, walls, bed coverings and hanging art are old and worn, showing the signs of hard use. Our room was tiny, and the standing shower so small as to be actually funny, until we tried using it. If you were anywhere BUT Venice and walked into this hotel, you'd probably turn around and walk right back out again. All of that said, there were some high points: 1) Location -- the location of Abbazia is beyond excellent. It is literally the only place in Venice where you can stay without having to haul your bags through a dizzying combination of expensive boats and narrow, crowded alleys. Walk out of the train or bus station, turn left, and there you are. 2) Staff -- The staff are friendly, outgoing and quite helpful. They were uniformly funny and their restaurant recommendations excellent. 3) Cleanliness -- While old, small and badly in need of a refreshing, our room was impeccably clean. Bottom line: I'd rather have given this a 2.5 than a 2, but I felt like a lower score was warranted to balance out some of the over-reaching of other commenters. If you feel like a hotel should just be a clean, convenient place to rest your head, Abbazia might be right up your alley. If you don't want to carry luggage up and down bridges, this is a perfect location. It is very near the train station which makes it great if you plan on day trips to other locations. The staff was excellent, particularly theguys at the front desk. I would definately stay here again and would recommend it to my friends,

we were very happy with our stay at hotel abbazia. although it was not right on the grand canal, it was just down the alley from the canal, with a vaporetto " public motorboat" right there. it was nice & quiet.we loved venice & will be returnin.the hotel was also reasonable priced as well.

the concierges at this hotel practically made the stay so friendly, charming and helpful the hotel is in a great old abbey building the rooms are a bit sparse, but clean overall a great stay - great convenience with a 3 minute walk from the train station on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle felt very safe in the neighborhood

this hotel was definitely over-priced,no elevator and we were on the top floor,quite a climb for Seniors, the street was a little seedy,however hotel personnel were very friendly, breakfast was mediocere at best.

The hotel was lovely and the staff most very accommodating but we had a funky room that only had a jacuzzi tub with a hand held shower head and no shower curtain so showering and washing your hair was a challenge.
