We just spent 3 nights at the Vinoy and had a wonderful time. Staff and amenities were great. Close to restaurants and downtown St Pete's. Would definaltey return

The vinoy is a family favorite and every time we stay there we are reminded anew why we love it. The food is terrific, the rooms clean and spacious and the service is fantastic. At 11 pm my son was less than eager to spend a night listening to our " sounds of sleeping" so I called down to the front desk in the off chance that they were sold in the sundries […] shop. They weren't however five minutes later a knock on the door delivered a pair that the hotel engineer was able to find. Awesome that the front desk went the extra mile.. Подробнее

Overall, a very nice hotel, BUT complimentary wifi and coffee would be appropriate given the room rates.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was excellent, as were the hotel's facilities. My only criticism is that there is not complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning, presumably so that the snack/coffee bar gets the business. The prices at the snack bar, however, are outrageous. I paid $4 for about a thimblefull of espresso one day.

This is one beaultiful facility. Very gracious staff, gorgeous spaces, wonderful location to great restaurants, Tampa Bay views and easy self-parking.

The Vinoy has become my first choice for my annual trips to the Tampa area. Great rooms and amenities (I had one of the best manicures/pedicures ever at the spa), friendly and helpful staff, and perfect location on the bay within walking distance of shops and restaurants.

The Vinoy was really one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Our room was huge with a wonderful view - so comfortable. It was great. Staff was outstanding. Location great.

Took a four day get-away to St. Pete staying at the lovely and historic Vinoy, and was very satisfied overall. Loved the location, on the bay, overlooking the marina, and a very short walk to excellent dining, the Chihuly exhibit, night spots, and some really cool and quirky shops (e.g., Macarone, all french cookies, all the time, and Diva Delights […] for home made chocolates, ice cream, and nice people). Especially liked the promenade where there are many tastefully decorated nooks and crannies where you can enjoy quiet conversation, a great drink from the bar (Greg's G-rita highly recommended), and people watching. We had a balcony room on the fourth floor of the tower, absolutely worth the bit extra for the balcony, view, and very tasteful, quiet room - self-park under the tower rooms and be just a few steps from the elevator. Outstanding tennis facilities, and a very good health club on site. Nice jogging in the surrounding neighborhood along the bay. Had THE best Sunday brunch ever at Marchands, though for most other meals, was even more fun to explore the many surrounding options. A few nits to pick - parking is silly expensive for the location, internet is also a bit stiff, should simply be included, takes a while to get your room first day, though the front desk did promptly call my cell when ready, and the house keeping staff did not refill a few in-room items like tea, sweeteners, etc. Minor marks on an otherwise lovely hotel experience. We had a wonderful stay, as always, at the Vinoy. It is always a pleasure to stay there. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the location couldn't be better. Walk to all the shops and restaurants, and the Saturday Morning Market.

Great atmosphere, amenities, location, and service. Definitely recommend the hotel. Downers were in the room. Pillows were soft, no fridge, and the coffee they sell in the hotel is awful. Starbucks is a hike, but worth it.

Renaissance Vinoy Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel with gorgeous views of St. Petersburg. The proximity to the amazing Dali Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts makes for a short walk with scenic views. Had a wonderful, pleasant and relaxing stay.

We loved staying at the Vinoy. We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the yacht harbor and skyline - a double queen, which made for a large room with two sets of windows. Great hotel, easily top 5 in St. Petersburg. Parking was very easy, an entrance along the south side, from 5th, and just to the east of the hotel. It did cost $14/night, but there was always space available and even very near to the pathway that leads to the hotel. Nice shower head, but more pressure would be nice. The one surprise was that a hotel of this caliber charged for Internet access, $14 per 24 hours, which is high when you only need fleeting access. This just caused me to time my access to a one-time period that overlapped days, and just not to use it otherwise. If it was $5/day I'd be fine with it. Only real downside is that if you are headed to the west side of St. Pete, it's a pretty long haul from the Vinoy, unless you only plan to do it once. Подробнее

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vinoy. The room was very nice, spacious, with a comfortable bed and lots of little extras. The staff were very responsive, friendly, helpful, and efficient. The facilities were great -- gym, pool -- and I was delighted to find there was a steam room also. And the breakfast at Marchand's was awesome. Their lemon […] souffle pancakes are to die for. From the moment that we checked in to the moment that we didn't want to leave, the experience of staying at the Vinoy was amazing. I do not believe I have ever seen such a helpful and attentive hotel staff. The Hotel presents itself with a history of charm and yet up to date beautiful decor. Our room was extremely comfortable and the bed was awesome! […] Everywhere you looked there was places to sit and relax or gather with friends to talk or have a drink. The front veranda was my favorite place to sit and look at the marina, Pier and beautiful parks surrounding the area. We had breakfast that was complete with made to order omelets and pancakes and the Pool side bar and grill had huge wonderful sandwiches. The Pool was big with lots of seating and attentive staff to wait on you. The location of the hotel could not have been nicer, it sits by the waterfront with parks all around and restaurants, shops and museums all within easy walking distance. We knew the Vinoy was a nice property, but it was even nicer than we expected. It is a classy hotel with very polished, friendly, and polite staff. Our room was spacious and well-appointed and we enjoyed our time by the pool. The Vinoy is located next to the marina and, unless it's too hot, the surrounding area is definitely worth a stroll (antique […] stores, cafes, restaurants, handsome condo buildings, the waterfront, and the Chihuly nearby). The Dali museum (about a mile away) is a knockout. If you are coming to St. Pete for the beaches, you will be on the wrong side of town, but otherwise, I highly recommend the Vinoy Renaissance. The Vilnoy is a lovely, expensive hotel located near the waterfront. Once your car is parked (for a large fee), you can walk to some museums, restaurants, and shopping (located a couple blocks inland). A major dissapointment was our room. We booked a room - for an additional charge - in order to enjoy a view of the harbor & marina. Our 4 th floor window […] directly overlooked the patio table umbrellas outside the hotel's restaurant. Looking to the right, we had a view of the entire swimming pool & patrons lounging around the pool. Further craning our necks, we could look past the pool to see the harbor in the distance. When I complained at the front desk, I was told that our room met their definition of a waterfront/ marina view. The hotel later sent a small basket of treats & a note of apololgy (which we left in the room). Anyone booking a room at this hotel should skip paying the surcharge for the "waterfront view". Very comfortable hotel. I rated the room a 4 due to a chair and ottoman that were in average condition, just a little worn. The bedding was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious. The only downside to the hotel is the lack of free wifi if throughout the hotel. this really needs addressing with the way the world is moving. Hotels in UK and most European cities this is now standard.
