The New Yorker Hotel - Нью-Йорк

Отель старый, обшарпаный , никак не тянет на 4 звезды. Номера очень маленькие. Ремонт не более чем косметический, кафельная плитка в ванной сверху покрашена краской, плохая звукоизоляция. В этом отеле больше останавливаться точно не будем.

Основное и единственное достоинство этого отеля - его расположение. Очень удобно добираться до любой точки на Манхэттене, рядом метро. Сам отель довольно старый, номера маленькие, окна открываются на 1/4 (хотели сделать фото Манхэттена,т. к. окна грязные пытались открыть - тщетно), холодильника нет, Интернет работает очень плохо (в номере).

Останавливался в отеле в мае 2011 года. Отель очень понравился своим расположением - в самом центре Манхэттена, в 3-ех минутах ходьбы от Penn Station и в 10-ти минутах от Empire State Building, рядом располагаются несколько станций метро. У меня был номер на 37-ом этаже с потрясающим видом на downtown, по ночам часто подходил к окну и смотрел на сверкающий […] город как со смотровой площадки. Сам номер был большой, со всем необходимым, из недостатков можно назвать только отсутствие сейфа, но в отеле хорошая охрана - при входе всегда проверяют наличие карточки отеля. Курить в отеле, как и в других общественных местах в Нью-Йорке, запрещено, но для меня это был только плюс. В отеле на первом этаже располагается кафе, которое работает 24 часа, но в округе есть места, где можно поесть получше - я часто ходил в ресторан на пересечении 33-ей улицы и 8-ой авеню (3 минуты от отеля), там было вкуснее и дешевле (и треть персонала говорила по-русски :) ). В отеле располагается экскурсионное бюро, я заказывал через него билет на мюзикл, но реально, как я потом понял, проще и дешевле дойти до театра пешком (почти все Бродвейские театры располагаются в 15-ти минутах ходьбы от отеля) и купить билеты непосредственно в кассе. Отель Нью-Йоркер расположен недалеко от основных достопримечательностей. Удобный номер, но не большой. Минус - не включен завтрак.

Отель New Yorker расположен в отличном месте. Номера чистые и нормального размера по меркам Нью-Йоркских отелей.

Номера слишком маленькие, довольно комфортно, кровати слишком жесткие, вода из душа бежит тонкой струйкой, но напор слишком сильный. Нет мини-бара.

Подходит для пребывания на Манхеттене, отсюда легко добраться до достопримечательностей и мест, которые бы Вам хотелось увидеть. Номер был очень маленький, но чистый. Поселившись в отеле, расположенном в центре Манхеттена, Вы рассчитываете всю ночь слушать автомобильные гудки, сирены и безостановочно веселящихся людей, а мы жили на 21 этаже, и были […] обособлены от улицы! Место прекрасное. Мы ездили на автобусе, и расположение было отличное для всех наших событий и путешествий. Хорошие, чистые комнаты отремонтированные, плоские экраны… в общем, рада, что мы здесь остановились. Фантастическое, приятное пребывание в Нью-Йоркере. Чистый, в отличном месте отель, но есть одно НО. Мне пришлось ждать больше 30 минут, чтобы забрать машину. Почему так долго? Слабое звено - стоянка.

Холлы и комнаты красиво отремонтированные, но поскольку я сказал, что буду жить один, меня поселили, пожалуй, в один из самых маленьких номеров, в котором Вы не можете открыть шкаф, при этом не перегородив все остальное.

Персонал отеля из кожи вон лез, чтобы оказать услуги. Я был впечатлен их готовностью услужить, когда мне было что-то нужно. Отель "видавший виды" и по крайней мере там, где я был, необходим ремонт. Однако, все было чистым и ухоженным.

Номера крошечные, но так во всех "экономичных" отелях Нью-Йорка. Возьмите номер на 20 этаже - на скоростном лифте на этот этаж попасть легче всего. В нашем угловом номере было 2 окна, и он был таким ярким, и спокойным, и воздушным. Кафе Tick Tock, что на нижнем этаже, удобное, но цены слегка завышены для этого уровня качества еды. В номерах нет холодильников, […] нет обслуживания номеров. Станция метро, откуда можно попасть на ветки ACE, находится через дорогу. Персонал перегружен работой, но тем не менее хороший. Комната была нормальная, но ванная выглядела, как в фильме ужасов 1980х. На стенах была зеленая плитка, унитаз был без бочка, такие можно увидеть в общественных уборных, и душ был обшарпанный и покрытый ржавчиной. В душе так же были чьи-то волосы. Отель мог бы быть чем-то стоящим с его клевым дизайном арт-деко, но он не стоил своих денег.

My review is for the Towers rooms. These rooms are small suites and mine had windows looking toward the Empire State Building, it was clean and comfortable, with a small fridge, coffee/tea maker, two lcd tv's and a compact bathroom. Located just a block and a half from Penn station it has a subway entrance around the corner on west 35th street. These […] rooms come with free wifi and continental b/fast in the 39th floor lounge, on weekends you will get a voucher for b/fast at the Tick-Tock diner which is part of the hotel and the b/fasts are substantial. No safes in the rooms (an omission that the hotel should rectify particularly in the Towers rooms) but safety deposit boxes are available at reception and access is quick and easy.The staff were very helpfull and free wifi and luggage storage was provided as I waited in the lobby for my room. This is a large and very busy hotel with people constantly checking in and out. I would certainly use this hotel again when I return to New York. The elevators are a little slow and old but you must remember this is not a modern hotel. The lobby area is quite grand.There is a gym and a Business centre located downststairs from the lobby but I did not use either. Подробнее

We had a great time. My first trip to new York .the hotel was less than a block from penn station so we didn't need a cab and a lot of our sightseeing destinations were in walking distance. I would stay at the new Yorker again.

The hotel is very clean, beds super comfortable.The staff very friendly ,professional and helpful. The food at the diner was excellent as well as the staff.The hotel is conveniently located to all sights of interest.We'll certainly return. Highly recommend it.

The only thing good is its access to the Garden.

The hotel was at a great price, with a small but nice room, friendly staff, very convenient location, subway stop on the corner, several major sites within easy walking distance (High Line, Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square, etc.) Lots of good pubs, bars and restaurants nearby too. We stayed for 3 nights in April 2012. Don't booked the Metro Queen room. We opened the door and turned back around. Upgraded on the 2 Double which provided more room. The furniture is somewhat cheap and the decor is dated. Although we did have a view on the Empire St Bldg. The location and price were the selling points. Not a choice for luxury.

When we first walked in the lobby it seemed very old and people were sitting on the floor lobby there should be more chairs, but after the place became quaint and the Tic Toc Restaurant had great food and service . Our room however was very small and no view and no extra blanket for the bed and the tv had no info channel ,very frustrating you have to […] keep turning channels.we found everyone very helpful in the hotel and the police presence outside made us feel very safe, will be back to new York again but probably a newer hotel. I was surprised to find out from someone else. In the hotel that the father of radio and Alternating current and many amazing inventions lived his last 10 years in the New Yorker hotel unbelievable one of his best friends was Einstein there should be a story of Tesla in the main lobby they have a car named after him oh well over it was a nice stay. Just about everything with this hotel is average. There was nothing special or great about the hotel, the rooms or the service we recieved. However, this is New York, and who wants to spend all day in the Hotel when your in this city? The location for sight seeing and travelling was perfect and for that reason the New Yorker was the right choice for […] us. I have no doubt that there are far better hotels but they also come with a much larger price tag. The bathroom is too small; without a surface or area where to place essential toiletries. The wash basin is so tiny, I hit my head with the narrow glass shelf above it while I attempted to wash my face. I had to use the covered toilet as table and stool for my clothes. The bed was quite comfortable and well appointed.

My family and I booked this hotel for a 5 night stay in April. The location here is absolutely perfect. Surrounded by delis, Penn station metro stop literally across the road and a very short walk to Macys and 5th ave. The room itself was quite small, but hey, New York right? Service at the hotel was generally ok, but I found the concerige that was on that day disinterested and not very helpful. No hot water on first night of stay, courtesy of a Con Ed error--they cut off the gas supply to the hotel, which disabled the boilers. Not the hotel's fault, but their communication was poor--a simple notice near the elevators would have saved guests time and trouble. Rather noisy at times; thin walls. But for NYC hotel prices its a pretty good value. Blue line subway station just around the corner. 34th street shopping is also around the corner and its a 10 - 15 minute walk to the theater district. Rooms are small as are 90% of NYC hotel rooms. Hotels needs to be renovated. Plus there was no hot water due to a gas line problem which we were never notified of. Rooms and bathrooms are old.

Sometime on the day before our last night, a pipe broke, flooding the hallway; we returned to find an area inside the door sopping wet, a towel laid out. Can't blame the hotel for that...and it wouldn't have caused an inconvenience...but repairs began, I kid you not, at 11:30 pm, with the cordoning of the entire hallway and loud heavy hammering on the […] outside wall. We called to room service and were told that this repair was on-going through the night; there was nothing we could do; but perhaps we'd like a complimentary breakfast? We had to scream to get an alternative room (we were told there were none, then got one), shifted at 1 am, and made it through the rest of the evening. But they seriously thought we should have endured *hammering with tools on the walls of our room at night!!!!* It was as if we ended up being an inconvenience to the hotel. Подробнее

It was a nice hotel with an historical atmosphere and a very convenient location. A little warn around the edges with tiny rooms but pleasant enough and a good breakfast at the Tick Tock Diner

The service at the New Yorker was perfectly affable, location was convenient and the price was ok for NY .... But the room was the size of a dorm room closet and was about as clean. Checked out of here and for less money stayed at the Cassa Hotel which was fantastic! Stay away from this place at all costs

A nice hotel, especially for the price. Walked everywhere from here and loved it, you could use the tube but if you're for enough them walk - you see so much more. Got a nice twin aspect room looking over the Hudson and some side streets. Small room but I'd imagine that's standard for this city. Bathroom ok although the shower couldn't make it's mind […] up if it wanted to be hot or cold! Hotel at first looks a bit run down however this shouldn't have any pact on your stay. Just remember that of you want perfection in your hotel, you need to go up town and pay more than twice as much. Our stay here was pleasant. The rooms are renovated but parts are still quite dated and old. Hot water had issues running hot and cold at times randomly. Staff were friendly enough and the location was very convenient. Concierge assisted us in getting sold out tickets (at a cost). I had 2 engagements - one in the 20's and the evening engagements in the 50's. Hotel was convenient to both, great location, public transportation. Have stayed previously, will stay in the future for the right deal.
