The sunday morning of the day of checkout, my friend whom i met in columbia, realized she had driven all the way back to charlotte with my car keys in her vehicle. Even after explaining my situation to the front desk manager, she insisted thatbi check out on time. I simply needed time to decide how best deal with my delemna. I offered to pay for the […] entire day even though i only needed an hour or two for a locksmith to work on my car. The manager then insisted that i come to the lobby to pay for the extra day separately. My situation was clearly an unforseeable circumstance. Large room with fridge and microwave, right off the highway, perfect for a stopover on our drive home from Florida. Beds were comfortable, and room had a sleeper sofa which worked out great for our family of 5. Great buffet breakfast was included!

The hotel was serviceable. The two main downsides for us were that they did not have a pack and play, nor did the staff seem able to keep the mediocre breakfast offerings maintained. Appears to have been a nice hotel, which has been left in disrepair for several years. The hotel is not as bad as others rated. The suite was large enough for two beds and a couch and chair. The furnishings were out of date, the sink dripped, the tub was chipped, and the towels were threadbare. The lobby was pretty nice and the breakfast area was fine. […] The breakfast was pretty basic, with two wafflemakers. We had to stay in a smoking room, where the whole floor smelled of smoke. There were non-smoking floors. The staff was OK but not great. The hotel is within easy driving distance of Ft Jackson for Basic Training graduation. Dirty! The room smelled, the caulk in the bathtub was moldy, and everything seemed yucky. The staff was very nice and the hot breakfast was good but the smelly room overshadowed the good.

The air conditioner did not work properly even after maintainence changed out the unit. The bottom of the shower curtain was covered with mold and the shower wall had mold also.

We found that the hotel was a little old and worn. There was a very strong chemical smell that could take your breath and probably came from the cleaning materials that they used. It was located in a rough section of town and so were some of the folks hanging around the hotel. The shower head was moldy and some things like the clock didn't work. The […] pool was very small. It was not much bigger than several hot tubs. Breakfast items ran out an hour before the posted time and there was no effort to replace them. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone at any price. We called the hotel and let them know we would be a late arrival, they held our room for us no problem. The staff was curtious and room clean. They had a hot breakfast that was very good. The room was quiet, very little noise from other rooms or outside.The beds were comfortable. Nice hotel. Needs a bit of a face lift. The staff, rooms, and breakfast was nice. I was able to bring my small pet which was very much welcomed. I would recomend this hotel to others.

The three things that bothered me..the smell of the room was like wet carpet, the toilet in the room and by the pool was leaking inside and was constantly wasting water, our keys had to be rekeyed several times. The beds were ok and it appeared clean and since we were basically just sleeping there it was ok.

The room could have been a little cleaner. There was dust on the lamp shades as well as the window sills. The beds and the room itself was quite suitable for our needs for an overnight stay.

Desk and breakfast staff were very friendly but housekeeper was very rude and acted as if we were putting her out by not checking out early. Facilities need a major referb! Tub had an ugly rust spot that looked like it was almost through, couch was stained and lumpy, base of cabanet on bar broken. Overall facilities were shabby. Can not recommend.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was nicely decorated and functional. The bed was quite confortable and the extra pillows were a plus. We also enjoyed the huge variety on the continental breakfast. The location is a plus since its just off the interstate and is close to the mall.
